1993 911 in great condition. I was so in love with this car the Porsche bug got me and I bought a new porsche, then another. After 6 years, I have put just over 3k miles on this car and my significant other wants the parking space. She won the coin toss and its the car that is going to go (2 out of 3 maybe?) I bought this car in 2007, and immediately replaced the suspension with the Bilstein PSS 9 system, mostly to drop it down about an inch, and replaced the stock 16" wheels ( which I still have) with some repainted/finished original 17" wheels from the same era. Also replaced the tires with some BF Goodritch Potenza's 225 and 245/45's at the same time. The work on the suspension and wheel and tire work was done by Moorespeed, Austin TX. One of the previous owners installed a performance chip, B&B header and muffler system and a K&N type cone filter. She is fast and drives and sounds great. There is also a multi speaker alpine stereo upgrade. I also wired in a Valentine radar detector that I plan to leave in. The brakepads have been replaced at 35563 miles, and the A/C was serviced including a new evaporator, receiver-drier and expansion valve. Comes with original bra, manual and a cover as well as a folder of receipts from myself and 2 previous owners.
So what's not to like? Small paint chip on the hood, scratches under the door hadles, there is a shallow dent under the trim in the body behind the driver door (which can be easily pressed out, never got around to it) and a small tear next to the seem on the drivers side convertable top. Also, one of the previous owners (I believe I'm the 4th) removed the back seats. Please see the pics. The last 2 pics are with the original wheels.
I included a picture of the pre-purchase inspection I had done by Greff Motors before I purchased the car in 2007 and the original factory window sticker.

Porsche Cayman GTS in track battle with 996 GT3
Wed, 09 Jul 2014Here's your tough question of the day: Would you rather drive a new Porsche Cayman GTS or a slightly older, 996-era Porsche 911 GT3? Certainly, both cars have their plusses. The Cayman is the more modern proposition, sure, but the GT3 is, well, a GT3. So yes, it's a tough decision.
If you're one of the lucky souls that have to make that choice, then this video from Evo should prove pretty helpful. It's a track battle, starring Jethro Bovingdon with a new GTS and an old GT3.
Calling the GTS "fantastically agile" and "fast, but it's also hilariously good fun," Bovingdon bangs home a solid lap time of 1:05.2 before switching to the GT3. It's remarkable to see just how dated the 996-generation 911 looks after viewing the newer Porsche, and from where we sit, it's further proof that the old car's headlights are something that's best forgotten. Styling qualms aside, though, can the GT3 keep up with its racy younger cousin?
Stock Miata beats bunch of high-powered cars in wet 1/4-mile drag race
Thu, 06 Jun 2013When is a stock, 167-horsepower Mazda MX-5 Miata quicker than a Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Mustang, Lamborghini Gallardo, Lotus Elise and a Porsche 911? When it's raining. Sort of.
Mazda Canada arranged a unique drag race to show off the fact that the Miata's optional power retractable folding hardtop can go from top-down to top-up in just 12 seconds flat. In this video, all six cars line up for a drag race, and it starts to rain (well, sort of - but you'll have to watch the video all the way to the end to see what we mean). The green flag is waved, and the timer starts as soon as the convertibles begin to put their tops up. But because the Miata's roof mechanism gets the car's roof back up a full 5.1 seconds quicker than the second-place car, the Mazda gets a serious advantage off the line for the actual drag race.
It's a fun video. And while we've spoiled the results (come on, the video was uploaded by Mazda, you knew the Miata was going to win), be sure to see how it all unfolds, below.
This Porsche 356 family keeps it outlaw
Wed, 29 Oct 2014Rod Emory was the founder of Emory Motorsports in Burbank, CA, and the scion to a family tradition of building "outlaw" Porsches that are almost as cool as the cars themselves. The lovingly modified Porsche 356s are lovely artifacts, and their story, along with the story of their builders, is pitch-perfect for the Petrolicious oeuvre of beloved classics.
Tune in for the history lesson, and then stick around for the car candy.
