                                                                        1975 Porsche 911 Turbo Look

We are selling our beautiful Alpine White 911.

She has been meticulously restored with painful attention to detail as seen in pictures.

Porsche has been converted to turbo look with all steel fender flares. Body is in wonderful condition and straight.

There are a few scratches here and there from normal driving which would be taken care of with touch up paint if desired.

Title is clean and she is accident free. No rust California vehicle.

All exterior rubber and seals have been replaced and are in great condition and supple / sunroof has new felt seal.

Wheels are later model Porsche turbo rims with all new high performance Dunlop Direzza dz101 tires.

Interior is ultra clean. Leather seats are supple with power options.

Door panels are in great shape. Electric power windows and power rear view mirrors work smoothly.

White gauges are beautiful and compliment exterior color.

Dash is crack free and in wonderful original condition. In dash AM/FM CD player but I just enjoy listening to the engine purr.

Drivers seat has some bolster wear as shown but is nice and original.

Carpets are clean.

Sunroof opens and closes nicely.

Headliner is original and has some wear from sunroof use but in overall good original shape.

Factory engine runs ultra smooth. Engine revs up quickly and just sounds amazing.

Porsche is ultrafast and a pure joy to drive. It has never been tracked, abused, or raced.

Engine had top end refresh and rebuild less than 10k miles ago while upgrading case with case inserts for reliability.

Porsche has RS cams for the performance enthusiast out there.

Vehicle upgraded to Trombone oil cooler set up and has upgraded 11 blade fan so engine stays cool all day during summer driving.

Shifter has all new bushings front and back with SEINE gated shifter upgrade.

Feel free to email me with any questions as I am sure I have missed something.

Thanks for looking at my auction, please enjoy all the pictures and good luck bidding.

Porsche revisits the 911's dirty side with rally history film

Fri, 03 Jan 2014

It might not be a coincidence that there are rumors of Porsche revealing a safari version of the 911 at April's Beijing Motor Show, just as the Dakar Rally is about to begin. Adding fuel to the dusty desert fire is a just-released official video of Jeff Zwart driving the Porsche 953 that Jacky Ickx drove to victory in the 1984 edition of the race.
In the video, the seven-time Pikes Peak International Hill Climb winner talks about how he grew up with the 911; it wasn't only the car he learned to drive in, it was his choice of racecar no matter whether the course was tarmac or the dirty stuff.
You can decide for yourself if these recent events are mere coincidence while you enjoy the 953's exhaust note in the video below. If you've got the time to see the 953 during its race-conquering drive and find out what the ersatz Paris-Dakar Rally used to be, we've also included a broadcast of that 1984 race below as well. Fast-forward to 19:44 to see the Porsches cross the open dessert and 29:09 to watch one of them tackle the dunes.

Playboy reveals its 2013 Cars of the Year

Thu, 20 Dec 2012

Vaunted men's magazine Playboy knows that its readers are nearly as interested in cars as they are in the female anatomy... sorry, we thought we could write that with a straight face. Anyway, the buff-book does occasionally fill some of its spreads with sexy metal, to accent all the rest of the sexiness.
To wit, the magazine has unveiled its feature on the 2013 Cars of the Year. Without giving us much in the way of criteria for the awards, nor a clear framing of the categories ("Responsible Ride" is a particularly challenging concept, especially when you consider that the Mazdaspeed3 was the winner), Playboy has nevertheless highlighted what we assume to be it's favorite 12 or 13 (depending on how you count) cars from the 2013 model year.
Headlining the class is the Porsche 911, which Playboy writers single out for having "remarkable electronic voodoo." BMW M5 is named "Slickest Sports Sedan" though the Cadillac ATS then follows on because "we couldn't resist giving the new Caddy a shout-out." The rest of the picks are pretty conventional (save, perhaps, the Honda Fit EV as "Ace Electric"), even if the categories and methodology are fairly wonky. Cruise through or gallery for a taste or check out the full list, here. The site is safe for work, and you can legitimately (this time) say that you were reading it for the articles.

Gemballa reveals new Porsche 991-based GT convertible

Sun, 16 Sep 2012

Gemballa went through the ringer last year, but rebounded with products that signal a complete turnaround. The latest is the recently-released Porsche 911 Carrera S with a Gemballa GT aerodynamics and technology package. Aero-wise, it includes carbon fiber additions beginning with a front bumper wearing the classic Gemballa air intake design and a lower, angrier splitter. New side skirts run from wheel to wheel, the final piece being a rear bumper in three sculpted horizontal sections featuring a rear diffuser tucked between six rectangular exhaust tips.
No engine mods have been made, but the technology part of the tune - springs that are 30 millimeters shorter yet still able to work with the PASM system - is claimed to make the car faster. Bringing things to a halt is a new Brembo brake system hiding behind 21-inch GForged wheels that are lighter than Porsche's standard 20-inchers.
The Gemballa GT aero kit runs €19,860 ($26,070 U.S.), which includes paint and installation if you happen to be in Germany, and we're assuming that includes the suspension modification, brakes and sport exhaust. The GForged wheels are another €9,895 ($12,989 U.S.) depending on your choice of tire. Check out the press release below for more info, and the photo gallery above for all the angles.
