The year 2005 ushered in a full platform change for the 911 Carrera, and an instant classic was born. The new model, dubbed the "997", featured an improved chassis, improved drivetrain components, and a completely revamped exterior, going back to more trditional styling. With 325 horsepower on tap, and a curb weight shy of 3100 pounds, this car is a dream to drive, and a nightmare for the competition. One drive and you will certainly understand why the 997 is the Carrera to have.

The Toy Barn is thrilled to offer this STUNNING 2005 911 Carrera coupe, finished in Seal Gray over gray leather. This car has a lot of character, and several reasons to consider purchasing:

History: This Carrera has only 34k miles, and has a clean Carfax history (as provided in the link below) showing no accidents or anything out of the ordinary. What it does show, however, was continual and punctual regular maintenance perfromed and kept up to date, having been serviced up through 32.5k miles at the Porsche store in Knoxville.

Condition: This is one of my favorites with this car. What can sometimes be labled as "just another gray Porsche" is wiped away with the 19" Carrera S wheels and red Porsche calipers, and the addition of the GT3 front bumper and chin spoiler. This gives the car an updated and much more aggresive look, and fits very well, with everything functioning as it should. The paint on the bumper is definitely quality and very nice, but in some angles and some lighting doesn't match perfectly. I still think it looks beautiful, and wouldn't stop me from owning and enjoying it. The exterior doesn't have any damage or finish issues; only light wear one can associate with a previously owned and well cared for Porsche. The 19" wheels are excellent, the Bridgestone Potenza tires are deep with plenty of tread remaining, and the car's exterior looks VERY nice; it's definitely a head turner. The gray leather interior is very nice as well, showing only light wear typical of an 8 year old 911, with excellent trim and carpet, etc.

Options: This is a very well equipped 911. It has Navigation, Sport suspension, Heated Seats, Red Calipers, 19" wheels, Colored crests, a Carbon fiber shift knob, and more. Ready for the driver, and ready for the enthusiast. It will be sold with 2 keys and all of the original books and manuals. Please call me with any questions you may have.

Paul Walker's daughter settles for $10m in crash lawsuit

Meadow Walker, daughter of the late Paul Walker, has agreed to a settlement with the estate of Roger Rodas worth $10.1 million over the death of her father. The basis of the settlement is that Rodas, who was driving the Porsche Carrera GT when it crashed, killing himself and Walker, was partly at fault for Walker's death. Police officials ruled that excessive speed was the main cause of the deaths of Rodas and Walker. According to TMZ, quoting attorney Jeff Milam, who is representing Meadow Walker, this sum is only a small fraction of the amount Paul Walker would have earned over his lifetime as an actor, which is almost certainly true. Walker was 40 at the time of his death, and was in the midst of a highly successful Hollywood career. A lawsuit was filed in September of 2015 by Walker's daughter against Porsche, alleging that the German automaker is also at fault for the deaths. Through her lawyer, Meadow says she "intends to hold the company responsible for producing a vehicle that was defective and caused Paul Walker's death." Spy shots of a lightly camouflaged 911 GTS Targa at the Nurburgring have us musing about what we might get from this upcoming Porsche. Eddie Sabatini reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Spy shots of a lightly camouflaged 911 GTS Targa have us musing about what we might get from this upcoming Porsche. The photos were grabbed at the Nurburgring and show a different exhaust system than is on the current car. Like the updated 991 Carrera and Carrera S, this GTS will get a 3-liter turbocharged engine in place of the current 3.8-liter naturally aspirated six-cylinder. And we expect it will make more than the 430 horsepower of the pre-facelift GTS engine. The shots also show off center-locking wheels, [00:00:30] which are likely to make production, and a blacked-out Targa roof bar. We'll have to wait and see if the dark roof bar is camo or an actual production option.
