911sc-sun Roof- Like New Condition on 2040-cars
Maumee, Ohio, United States
This car has received every update mechanically that a Porsche of this vintage should have. If you have been looking for a Porsche you are more than aware. Along with the normal updates it has new Turbo Tie Rods, Ball Joints Strut inserts, New Rear Shocks, New Half Shafts. New engine and trans mounts. A/C installed last year. Complete new interior including roof liner and carpeting. New dash board. Turbo valve covers, Cam chain tensioners, oil return tubes. This is just a partial list, I can email the rest if you are really interested. I obviously was not planning on selling this car but due to my wives health issues it just sits in the garage. The car has never seen snow, been tracked or auto crossed to my knowledge. I purchased the car from a friend and he only sold it because of health reasons. You can not drive this car with out people commenting on how beautiful it is. It also has a FAB Speed Exhaust with cat By-Pass and a K&N Air Filter. I am quite well aware you could by this vintage for less but to bring a car up to this level would cost considerably more than I am asking. This car use,s no oil and after parking you might find a quarter size oil spot on the floor. For the average Porsche of this vintage that is a rarity. I would suggest any purchaser acquire a PPI before considering any Porsche and am more than confident this car would come through with a strong recommendation. I am not really interested in delivering the car so the purchaser will have to make arraignments. I will attempt to answer all questions as soon as possible but my computer skills are limited.
This format will not accept the Vin # as it is a Euro car. It is WPOZZZ91ZCS102905. This a legaly titled car in the State of Ohio. EBAY claims the title can not have number one or zero in the title. Not sure where this comes from as it is incorrect obviously. Thanks For Looking, Tom |

Why you must buy an air-cooled Porsche 911 now
Fri, 14 Feb 2014"Because" might be a good response to our headline, but as a vintage (purists might call 'proper') Porsche 911 is hardly cheap, we suspect you'll need a better explanation than that. Enter Drive editor Mike Spinelli.
Spinelli sits down with Zac Moseley and Mick Prichinello from Classic Car Club Manhattan to first explain why the market for old, air-cooled 911s has gotten so hot over the past few years, and to discuss if it's a bubble that's about to burst. Following that, this video is really is just three guys sitting around talking about old Porsches for 35 minutes. Which, you know, we're pretty onboard with.
Scroll down and have a look at the latest episode of After/Drive, from Drive.
Porsche testing four-cylinder Boxster at the N?rburgring
Fri, 09 May 2014Porsche recently introduced a four-cylinder version of the new Macan for markets outside of North America, carrying Zuffenhausen's first four-pot since the 968 ended its production run the better part of two decades ago. But you can bet the compact crossover won't be the only Porsche to get the four banger before all's said and done. These spy shots, we're told, are evidence of just that.
Spotted undergoing testing at the Nürburgring (where else), this modified Boxster, our spy photographers tell us, sounds more like a four-cylinder engine than the flat six that's powered (in displacements ranging from 2.5 liters to 3.4) every version of the little roadster since its introduction in 1996, the year after the last four-cylinder Porsche ended production.
The test mule is also wearing modified wheel arches and aerodynamic aids under the bumpers, front and rear. Just what they're doing there we're not sure, but we'll probably find out sooner or later.
Jay Leno's Dodge Challenger raises $585k for USO in Scottsdale
Mon, Jan 19 2015Of all the metal moved in Scottsdale, AZ, this holiday weekend, the one you see here was hardly the most expensive. But it's noteworthy for another reason: despite being a relatively humble, second-hand 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8, raised an impressive $565,625. That's because, first of all, it belonged to Jay Leno, and secondly because the proceeds were going to the USO. Leno donated the modern muscle car from his collection to benefit our men and women in uniform, and was on hand to present the car on stage at the Gooding & Company auction, along with USO president J.D. Crouch II and former Army chief of staff General George W. Casey, Jr. After frenzied and patriotic bidding, the gavel ultimately dropped at $360,000, accompanied by over $200,000 in additional contributions, bringing the total amount donated to the USO to over half a million. Commendable though it was, of course the Challenger didn't garner the highest bids at the auction. A 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider sold for $7.7 million and a 1968 Ferrari 330 GTS fetched $2.4 million. A rare 1962 Ferrari 400 Superamerica Series I Coupe Aerodinamico sold for over $4,070,000 – which, according to Sports Car Market, is the most ever paid at auction for a 400 Superamerica. And a 1966 Porsche 906 Carrera 6 also sold for a record $1.98 million.
