You are looking at a like new 2012.5 (currently body style, the type 991, not the older type 997) Porsche 911 Carrera 7-speed coupe with Platinum Silver Metallic paint and Luxor Beige interior. It is in excellent condition with only 6,450 original miles, flawless paint and interior. There are no dings, dents or scratches in the bodywork and no chips, scratches, curb rash or pitting on the wheels. I am the original owner of the 911 and the car has always been stored in a heated garage when not being driven. The Porsche is nicely optioned with 20" Carrera S wheels, heated front seats, a SportDesign steering wheel, clear front side turn signal lenses, auto dimming mirrors, and Porsche tan carpet floor mats. Another nice option is the 4-year, 40,000 mile prepaid Porsche Scheduled Maintenance Plan which is fully transferrable and is associated with the car's VIN, so it automatically transfers with the car. All maintenance is up to date and the car has a current PA state inspection sticker. There are over two years remaining on the original 4-year, 50,000 mile factory warranty and the prepaid Porsche Scheduled Maintenance Plan. The car is 50-state emissions compliant, and can be titled and registered in California. I am willing to deliver the car to Porsche of Mechanicsburg (PA) for a pre-sale inspection and/or for shipment following the sale, at your expense. A clear PA Certificate of Title is in hand and will be delivered with the owner's manual, two original smart keys, original window sticker and service records. Porsche-Piech buy 10% stake in VW's holding company
Tue, 18 Jun 2013In August, 2009, as the scuttled merger of Porsche and Volkswagen had gone bad and Porsche was backed up against the ropes, Porsche Automobil Holding SE (PAHSE) relinquished a ten-percent stake in itself to Qatar Holdings as well as options it held on 17 percent of VW shares. The sale meant that, for the first time since the founding of the company 61 years before, an entity outside the Porsche and Piech families had a say in the running of PAHSE.
Buying that ten-percent stake back returns full ownership to the two families, the holding company's sole possession being ownership of 50.7 percent of VW's common shares. The price paid wasn't disclosed, but at market rates the purchase would be worth close to $1.25 billion. Qatar intends to hold onto the 17-percent stake it has in Volkswagen.
Porsche 918 Spyder pre-production version in all its almost-done glory
Sun, 18 Aug 2013Porsche continues the long tease of its upcoming 918 Spyder, with the latest instantiation here at the Pebble Beach Concours, with the car presented in pre-production form to the throngs on the golf course.
Just a few days ago Porsche dropped an image of the car on its official Twitter feed. True to that leak, this 918 looks damn near what we expect the full customer version to be when it is officially debuted in Frankfurt. The neon-green brake calipers are items new to this version of the 918, and seem to be an identical color to those found on the Panamera S E-Hybrid.
When it shows up as a drivable piece, expect the Porsche supercar, with its gasoline-electric drivetrain, to be pretty insane. Horsepower in excess of 800 ponies will be available with a toe-tap, while the price of entry is expected to come within shouting distance of $850,000. A good deal for Porsche to bring the thing to Pebble then, where buyers with that kind of cash are think on the ground (and most likely wearing sherbet-colored trousers).
Leno, Seinfeld and a Porsche 356/2 featured in latest CICGC

The NBC funnyman we've lately seen driving two guest Porsches in his eponymous garage this time takes the passenger seat in a 1949 Porsche 356/2, one of early all-aluminum, hand-built coupes - still in 100-percent original condition - built in Gmund, Austria and nicknamed "Gmunds."
The comedy veterans have known one another for 35 years, so the episode is rich with stories of The Good Old Days. Leno says it is also the first time he's ever had a cup of coffee, and for obvious comedic reasons they start with the civet-stained beans made famous in The Bucket List.
