We have here a one owner 2008 Porsche Carrera S with a factory aero kit, in beautiful Basalt Black Metallic paint.
I purchased this car new in 2008 and it has been kept in a heated/cooled/carpeted garage in sunny Florida. The
list of options is extensive (see picture of the window stick and certificate of authenticity), but the following
outlines some of the more interesting ones.
Full leather interior with full power/heated passenger and driver side seats, and embossed Porsche logo in the
headrest.
Sport chrono package.
Porsche PASM stability management system.
Bose stereo system with CD and Sirius XM satellite radio.
Navigation system.
Carbon fiber accent package with dash and console inserts, plus carbon fiber door sills with lighted Carrera s
logo.
Porsche factory aero kit with GT3 style spoiler.
Fabspeed carbon fiber cold air box for increased horsepower.
19" Turbo wheels with less than 5,000 miles on new rubber all around.
Stainless steel exhaust system with auto-tuning valves.
This car is essentially factory stock with the exception of the aero kit, which significantly improves handling at
high speeds, and the cold air box which pairs nicely with the tuned exhaust, for greater horsepower and throttle
response. This car has been maintained at the local Porsche shop for all service including oil changes. In
addition, the car came with an Auto Butler package, so it was professionally washed at the local Porsche shop, and
fully detailed twice per year at the Porsche shop. The only blemish on the car (other than a few signs of normal
road grit) is on the passenger rear wheel, as seen the the photos. To this day I don't know the origin of the
blemish but it has no impact on the wheel whatsoever.
This is a beautiful super car. The sticker shows a retail price in excess of $100,000 and with the addition of the
aero kit ($10,000) and the cold air box ($1,000), this car's value tops $111,000. I am asking less than half this
amount. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask questions.

Porsche wants a better 'connected car' [UPDATE]
Fri, Mar 20 2015UPDATE: In an earlier version of this story we mistakenly identified Joe Lawrence as the CEO of Porsche Cars North America; Lawrence is in fact the Chief Operating Officer, COO, of PCNA. The text has been changed to reflect this. Porsche is known for great engineering, but it's usually the type that leads to fantastic engines and sublime handling, rather than cutting-edge infotainment systems. The company wants to alter that balance in the future to put a greater emphasis on connectivity in its models. Porsche Cars North America COO Joe Lawrence outlined the brand's goals during a speech at the Bloomberg Innovation Forum in Atlanta, according to Automotive News. "Recognizing the phone is so ubiquitous in every sector, how do we integrate that into driving experience in a way that is safe and enjoyable?" he said. Lawrence suggested the company might be working with Google and Apple on future solutions. Even if Porsche is working on making more tech savvy models, don't expect the company to forget its roots. Brand boss Matthias Muller also broached connectivity during his recent speech at a conference and said the sports car business' customers didn't want "a smartphone on four wheels." He promised investments in research and development to come up with an answer. In the same speech, Muller strongly suggested fully electric Porsche models were on the way and also announced a seventh model line coming in the future. Lawrence reiterated the company's future, as well, in his address. "We will see further electrification of our product line," he said, according to Automotive News. Rumors of Porsche building a Tesla-fighter have been circulating as of late. The vehicle is possibly in the body of the smaller Panamera called the Pajun, and it could offer a 300-mile range with an electric motor at each axle kicking out a reported total of 600 horsepower. Malaise Era All-Stars
Fri, 17 May 2013A few weeks ago, we bid a fond happy 40th anniversary to the automotive dark ages of 1973-84 that have come to be known as "The Malaise Era" - the performance ice-age when 160 horsepower was a lot and a 0-60 time of under 10 seconds was remarkable. Like music in the 1980s, everything in automobiledom didn't suck, however. There were a few bright spots. Here are five of our favorites:

Jay Leno's Dodge Challenger raises $585k for USO in Scottsdale
Mon, Jan 19 2015Of all the metal moved in Scottsdale, AZ, this holiday weekend, the one you see here was hardly the most expensive. But it's noteworthy for another reason: despite being a relatively humble, second-hand 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8, raised an impressive $565,625. That's because, first of all, it belonged to Jay Leno, and secondly because the proceeds were going to the USO. Leno donated the modern muscle car from his collection to benefit our men and women in uniform, and was on hand to present the car on stage at the Gooding & Company auction, along with USO president J.D. Crouch II and former Army chief of staff General George W. Casey, Jr. After frenzied and patriotic bidding, the gavel ultimately dropped at $360,000, accompanied by over $200,000 in additional contributions, bringing the total amount donated to the USO to over half a million. Commendable though it was, of course the Challenger didn't garner the highest bids at the auction. A 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider sold for $7.7 million and a 1968 Ferrari 330 GTS fetched $2.4 million. A rare 1962 Ferrari 400 Superamerica Series I Coupe Aerodinamico sold for over $4,070,000 – which, according to Sports Car Market, is the most ever paid at auction for a 400 Superamerica. And a 1966 Porsche 906 Carrera 6 also sold for a record $1.98 million.
