2006 Porsche 911 C4s In Mint Condition Gt3 Aero Kit on 2040-cars

Year:2006 Mileage:58200
Location:

Decatur, Georgia, United States

Decatur, Georgia, United States

I am selling my meticulously maintained daily driver, a 2006 Porsche 997 C4S with 58,200 miles.  I have all the service records from 21k miles.  The car has all the right options: Sport Chrono, PASM, Adaptive Sport Seats, Full Leather, Heated Seats and much more.  This 911 is in pristine condition as evidenced by the pictures.

This car also has some tasteful upgrades:  an Aero kit (GT3 Front End and Rear Spoiler); $6000 stereo system, which includes a Kenwood Excelon DNX 940 head unit with features such as DVD player, Navigation, Bluetooth (voice and audio), and Rear backup Camera; Focal 3-way separates in front, 2-way separates in the rear, professionally made subwoofer and Amp rack with 2 Amps;  $2000 Passport 9500ci with laser shifting technology with 2 front and 1 rear mounted detectors; Interior LED lights ,SRP pedals, and much more to list.

This was a CPO car and I am a PCA member.  Like I said, I have a stack or scheduled maintenance receipts from Hennessey Porsche of Atlanta.  Recent service includes water pump Sept. 2013, front and rear brakes in past 6 months, and clutch at 49k miles.  I have never taken it through a car wash, instead, I hand wash it myself and use Autogeek products about every 4 months that include clay bar, swirl remover with a Portacable, a sealer then a wax.  I am very particular about my cars and I really have taken the upmost care of this one. It does have accident history, with very slight damage at low speeds, and I have the autocheck report and pre-repair pictures to verify.  I over saw the repairs myself and know that they were done right. This is a no story car, and it needs nothing.  Let me repeat it does not need anything. If you are a serious buyer then contact me for any additional information you desire.  You are welcome to have the car inspected at your expense.  No joy rides.

$500 payment due in 24hrs after auction completion, remainder of payment due in 7 days by certified bank funds.

1986 Porsche 959 Prototype at Barrett-Jackson sees gavel fall at $440,000 [UPDATE: w/video]

Sat, 19 Jan 2013

Fans of Porsche in America have longed for the chance to buy a 959 ever since the German automaker produced and sold it (well, sold it everywhere but the United States...) in the 1980s. Well, they just had their chance. The car you see above is a Porsche 959 prototype built in 1986, and only one other running prototype still exists.
The 959 prototype can't be driven on public roads, as it carries no such certification. Somehow, we doubt that matters all that much to the new buyer - this one is probably going to be sitting in a collection. When the gavel finally fell, bidding had reached $400,000, plus a 10-percent buyer's fee.
Check out our high-res image gallery above to see this prototype up close, and scroll down below to watch a video of it crossing the auction block and for its official auction description.

Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer

An Iconic Sports Car, Restored to Seduce
I have been strapped behind the iconic Momo Prototipo steering wheel for a little more than an hour, all windows down as I carve my way up a rugged canyon during an unusually warm Southern California evening, and I am overwhelmed with emotion. My heart is pounding out of my chest, my breathing is heavy and my palms are sweaty because I am completely absorbed by this wondrous machine.
After waiting patiently for nearly four years, I am finally behind the wheel of a classic Porsche 911 restored, modified and tuned by Singer Vehicle Design. The vehicle that surrounds me never rolled off an automaker's assembly line in its current configuration, yet its physical appearance is timeless, build quality breathtaking and driving dynamics peerless.

Watch the incredibly complicated operation of Porsche's new targa roof

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Despite Porsche having claimed the name, targa tops are nothing new. In addition to the semi-roofless version of the 911, plenty of cars in the past have used removable roof panels - the new Corvette Stingray has one (as have prior generations), and this type of open-air experience has been available on past vehicles like the Pontiac Solstice Coupe and Honda Civic del Sol.
But when Porsche took the top off its brand new 911 Targa here at the Detroit Auto Show, it was indeed cause for pause. Simply put, this is one of the most complicated and intricate electronic roof panel removal techniques we've ever seen, save perhaps, for the setup found on the Japanese-market Civic del Sol from the 1990s.
We won't spoil the video for you, but basically, rather than just the roof panel coming off, the entire rear glass area lifts away the body in order for the small section over the passenger compartment to slide back. This has to be incredibly expensive to repair once it inevitably breaks. And we highly doubt you'll be able to operate this mechanism at any speed.
