A nice, super clean car that I am selling for a computer challenged friend of mine.
Car is in Oceanside California, owner Summers in Southern Oregon and there's not much market there for a Porsche.
We put 4 new correct Michelin tires on the car less that 2,000 miles ago, so that will save you about 2 grand.
This is a great driver and has been treated as such, about 1,200 miles a month since new. So miles may be high at 124k for someone wanting a garage queen. This car does however, show owner love and care throughout.
We do not have the history of the car.
We do not have any receipts.
He has owned it for one year.
It was purchased from a private party at a car show in Pomona, California.
Very straight body with no damage and appears to be all original paint.
Leather seats and all interior is in excellent condition. No cracks, tears or damage. Some rim scuffs. (minor and will polish out if you desired to). I'll take rim pics. if wanted.
We have no reason to believe that the car needs anything but a new driver who likes to go fast, smoothly.
My friend bought a newer Carrera 4 Turbo Cabrio, so this one has to go.
You will NOT find this year and model Porsche anywhere in the U.S. for our reserve price, which is under 19 grand. I just looked 10-12-2013 ,EBay, Craig's List, Auto Trader and a lot of other sites. Nada.
I am glad to show it. You are welcome to have any Porsche tech check it out, at your expense.
I cooperate with your shipper and always take photos of the car as it is loaded on the transport.
I have shipped cars to Europe, Australia and the Orient.
It's been a fun ride for me as well. I'm over 6 feet tall and fit great in this car, but it's got to go.
Thanks for reading this! Tony

Supercars for the win | Autoblog Podcast #515
Fri, May 19 2017Some days at Autoblog are better than others. And in this episode, we talk about those days. Specifically, the days where we get to drive supercars. Mike Austin, Greg Migliore, and Alex Kierstein join up in this episode to talk about driving the McLaren 720S, Ford GT, and Porsche 911 GT3. We also drove some less-super, but still notable cars that we talk about at the top of the show. And as always, we play the game Spend My Money where we get to tell readers what we'd do if we were them. We had a lot of fun with this one, we hope you enjoy listening to it. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too. Porsche 991 vs. 930 Flatnose in 911 Turbo convertible faceoff
Tue, 15 Jul 2014The Porsche 911 Turbo has a legacy of being a tough car to drive. With a ton of power set right over the rear wheels, its reputation is to lose control as soon as the driver stops concentrating. However, this isn't quite so true anymore. The modern ones are tamed through technology with things like hydraulically controlled engine mounts, not to mention all-wheel drive. In its latest video, Autocar tries to decide whether 25 years of progress really makes the turbo a better vehicle.
It's summer, so what better version to compare than the 911 Turbo Cabriolet? In one corner, Autocar has the latest and greatest 2014 version pumping out 513 horsepower and 486 pound-feet of torque with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Its challenger is a 1989 911 flatnose convertible sporting 326 hp and 347 lb-ft of torque. It's a truly rare car in the UK with only eight of them remaining on the roads in that region.
Granted, this test isn't so much a battle as it is a comparison. There's no question that the modern 911 would beat the classic in practically every objective category. What the video aims to find out is whether the flatnose is better in subjective measurements like its "feel." Scroll down to watch these two droptop Porsches square off.
Aston Martin renames Vantage GT3 after Porsche throws hissy fit
Mon, Mar 23 2015Porsche has a long history of using the name "GT3" for its hardcore, naturally aspirated 911 models, and that means it's certainly not going to share it with the likes of Aston Martin. See, it seems the arrival of the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show didn't sit well with Stuttgart, which opted to lawyer up. According to Goodwood Road and Racing, attorneys from both sides of the Channel have been in discussion for months over the issue, with Porsche arguing it's been using the GT3 name since 1999, and that makes it theirs. Aston, though, argues that the FIA GT3 racing series makes the name fair game for road cars. Moreover, the Brits point out that the alphanumeric was in use well before Porsche got its mitts on it – GRR rightly points out the Lotus Esprit GT3 hit the streets three years before the 996 GT3. And while we're on the subject, Bentley has its own GT3, but we're guessing its status as one of Porsche's siblings means its immune to this kind of squabbling. Rather than getting into a knock-down, drag-out courtroom brawl with one of the Volkswagen Group's prized brands, though, Aston has taken the high road. The company will rechristen both the road-going Vantage GT3 and Vantage racer as the GT12. While Porsche is no stranger to aggressively protecting what it views as its closely held vehicle names, we have to admit, it seems like Aston actually has something of a case. Do you think the Brits were right to settle and change the Vantage's name, or should they have taken the fight to Porsche? Have your say in Comments.
