I have for Auction a super nice Porsche 911 Carrera. I recently bought this 911 from an Infiniti Dealer in Sarasota, where it was recently traded-in. I have the clear Florida Title, and the Carfax showing it was initially purchased in West Palm Beach, and the second owner was from Sarasota. No accident history, or other horror stories. The car has a great color combo, black over tan. The interior is remarkably clean throughout. Headliner is super nice, a kind of suede. The paint is very nice too, showing a minimal amount of minor chips, no scratches. Wheels are nice, showing minor scuff marks on one or two places. Overall very nice condition. The wheels alone were a $2660 extra, and the stainless steel exhaust system a further $750. MMR was $74,555 back in "01. I have a number of more recent receipts of a range of repairs and maintenance done to the car, nothing major. That being said, the 6 speed transmission shifts good, clutch feels good, windows work, moon roof works, air is ice cold. Leather is very nice, no defects, as I recently had to replace some leather at a local shop, great job. Factory stereo is nice, no failure of any pixels. Please feel free to call or e-mail with questions or concerns (727) 771 2900. Car is for sale locally, and may be withdrawn at any time. I placed a reserve on the car which I believe to be very fair. Airport pick-up is possible from Tampa.

Porsche announces works team for United Sportscar Championship
Tue, 24 Sep 2013Porsche is undoubtedly the most successful manufacturer in sportscar racing, and it's only upping its game. The German marque is launching its new LMP1 racer for Le Mans in pursuit of overall victory once again, and now that sportscar racing in North America is coming together under one banner in the United Sportscar Championship, Porsche has announced it is entering the fray with a works team here as well.
The new Porsche North America racing team will field two cars in the entire inaugural season of the Tudor United Sportscar Championship that's been formed out of the former Grand-Am and American Le Mans Series. The team will be based out of the Porsche Motorsport North America facility in Santa Ana, California, and will partner with three-time ALMS LMPC winners Core Autosport in getting a pair of the latest 911 RSR racecars to the front of the GT Le Mans class.
Drivers have yet to be announced, but are projected to be drawn out of Porsche's factory driver program, which includes such talents as Patrick Long, Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Neel Jani. Keep reading below for the official announcement.
This is why we love the Porsche 911 reimagined by Singer
Tue, 11 Nov 2014In the world of restomods, Singer Vehicle Designs is inarguably one of our absolute favorites. The company, founded by rocker Rob Dickinson, has made its name as an obsessive constructor of vintage, built-to-order Porsche 911s with modern internals and beautiful accouterments.
Xcar has put together a lengthy interview with Dickinson, covering the source of his fascination with the 911 and his passion for automotive design, before falling into his rock-and-roll days with his band Catherine Wheel. He also covers how he got into the world of modifying Porsches, rather than just restoring them. There's much, much more in the video, though, and we promise, you won't want to miss it.
Take a look.
Porsche Macan to debut at LA Auto Show
Wed, 29 May 2013Auto Express reports Porsche will unveil the upcoming Macan SUV at this year's LA Auto Show. Citing an unnamed "insider," AE says that the five-door will bow with engines, suspension and interior architecture that will help differentiate it from its Audi Q5 chassis mate. Big shocker there. We've been hearing the same line since we first caught word of the Macan back when it was still rolling around under the Cajun name. The report does shed some light on the model's pricing, however. That same insider says the Porsche Macan will carry a price tag of 36,000 pounds.
What does that mean for American buyers? Do some quick math based on current conversion rates, and average UK and US prices, and we come up with a sticker of roughly $42,000 here in the land of the free. That fits in line with the rest of the company's stable, with the larger Cayenne starting at $49,600.
Still, we'll wait for more concrete word before jumping behind the AE report wholeheartedly. The 2013 LA Auto Show gets going in late November.
