This is a great opportunity to get a rare limited edition 2000 porsche 996 millennium edition,#202 of 911 built, these were fully loaded c4 coupes with special paint, full leather interior,8 way power heated seats with lumbar, alccantara headliner, navigation, bose high end stereo with cd changer, wood accents etc. This car hit a guard rail and went into a ditch. The main damage was the radiators, condensors and fans and of course the front bumper, fenders and hood. The radiators, condensors, and fans have been replaced and an oem bumper sourced. The front tub has some bumps and bruises but the bumper bolted up and and aligned well. The right litronic headlight works and has minor scratches, the left one is broken but can be salvaged for the inner workings. It will need a 4 wheel alignment and obvious body and paint. The car runs excellent, shifts great ( recent clutch)no weird noises, everything works, goes down the road just fine. The lower right rocker panel has some dents as does the left rear fender.I was going to convert the front end into a 997 front end, but too many projects so this must go.It does have a nevada salvage title and the owner is responsible for making road worthy to what ever state or laws apply. Here in california it needs a brake and light inspection and a vin verification and then a new rebuilt title is issued. This is sold as is, no warrantees.THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! so bid to win, I reserve the right to end early because it is for sale locally, no buy it now , high bid wins this $90000 dollar when new porsche! Please ask questions and have great feedback, will not sell to 0 feedback ebayers!GOOD LUCK

Jay Leno puts carbon fiber wheels to the test on a Porsche 911 GT3 RS
Thu, 04 Sep 2014Jay Leno's Garage usually focuses on looking at cars new and old, speaking to their owners and then Jay taking a drive to see what he thinks. However, Leno throws his usual shtick to the curb this week to do a full product test of the carbon fiber wheels from a company called Carbon Revolution. If you're not interested in hearing about wheels for 18 minutes, don't worry. They get mounted on a Porsche and are tested back-to-back with stock wheels, and Leno takes the 911 for a track test, too.
While carbon-fiber wheels aren't exactly a new idea, Carbon Revolution's goal is to create a lightweight, one-piece product that can be mass produced. The company even claims that it already has a deal with an OEM automaker to offer them on a vehicle in a few years. The key to the technology is that it doesn't need an expensive autoclave to be made.
In the meantime, the company's carbon fiber wheels are available as an aftermarket option for about $15,000 a set, according to the video. They weigh in at about 15.5 pounds each and offer OEM-levels of stiffness, so they could cut some unsprung mass off of a performance car. Watch here as Jay and his mechanic Bernard lap Willow Springs and give their feedback about what they think of this cutting-edge technology.

Porsche planning something track-focused for Geneva [w/poll]
Thu, Feb 26 2015At the 2015 Geneva Motor Show next month, Porsche has confirmed that it will be showcasing two potentially exciting new models: One is the new Cayman GT4 we've already seen, but we don't know what the other will be just yet. All the German automaker is saying at the moment is that, "the second new model is another exceptional Porsche that sets new standards on the racetrack" and that "this vehicle confirms the sports car manufacturer's commitment to high performance sports cars that manage a very special link between everyday driving and motorsports." Given those two statements, we can probably rule out a crossover or sedan at one end of the spectrum or a purely competition-spec racer at the other. The likelihood is, then, that Porsche's surprise for Geneva will be the new 911 GT3 RS. But then it could be the Boxster-based convertible counterpart to the Cayman GT4 (whether dubbed Boxster GT4, Boxster Spyder or something else), or even a track-tuned version of the 918 Spyder to take on the McLaren P1 GTR and Ferrari FXX K. We'll just have to sit tight to find out, but you're welcome to read the press release below and tell us what you think Zuffenhausen has in store for us at the Swiss expo this year. Double world premiere at the Geneva International Motor Show 2015 Porsche shows two new high-performance cars for the first time Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG is celebrating the world premiere of two extreme sports cars at this year's Geneva International Motor Show. The new Cayman GT4 is the first high-performance sports car belonging to the GT family that is based on the mid-engine coupes. Clocking a lap time of seven minutes and 40 seconds on the North Loop of the Nurburgring, the new entry-level model makes a great debut. The second new model is another exceptional Porsche that sets new standards on the racetrack. The world premiere will take place during the Porsche press conference at the Palexpo Arena in Geneva at 11:30 (CET) on March 3, 2015. A live webcast will be available in German and English on: http://porsche.gomexlive.com/. This vehicle confirms the sports car manufacturer's commitment to high performance sports cars that manage to make a very special link between everyday driving and motorsports. These two premieres continue Porsche's tradition of presenting motorsport highlights at the spring car show on the shores of Lake Geneva. The 911 GT3, 918 Spyder and 919 Hybrid all celebrated their debuts in Geneva in recent years.
