I bought this car a few years ago to build a custom daily driver. All work was performed by my company 4 N Motorsports. My only reason for selling is I am ready to build another project. The only function not working on the car is the cruise control. Below is a list of the work and modifications to the vehicle: -All body damage repaired (door dings, scratches, etc) -Full Repaint factory color with custom two color painted stripe (silver main stripe with red accent) -Custom painted factory headlamp assemblies with 8K aftermarket HID (high and Lows) -New LED Taillights -New auto spoiler accordian boot -Repainted Factory Brake Calipers -Avante Garde 19" Staggered Hypermesh wheels with 235/35/19 FR tires and 285/30/19 RR Tires -Eibach 1" Lowering springs -New Front Struts -New control arms upper and lower, front and rear -New tie rod ends outer -New clutch (1500 miles since replacement) -LN Engineering IMS Update -New water pump -New serp belt -New spark plugs -Just serviced (Mobile 1 Synthetic) -Custom painted interior trim on doors and dash -New Leather on front seats with Shop Logo -Pioneer AVIC-940BT Nav,Bluetooth,DVD -Factory Bose highs and mids -Alpine Type R 8" Sub -JVC KS-AX3101D Amp -20% Window Tint -Renntech black billet shift knob Since i have used this car as my dailey driver there are a few rock chips in the front cover and wheels. Porsche recalls new 911 models over exhaust pipe issues
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Porsche, though the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, announced a voluntary recall on about 2,200 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 models built during the 2012 and 2013 model years. On cars equipped with the standard exhaust system it was found that the tailpipes could separate from the mufflers and become dangerous road debris; models that added the optional sport exhaust system are not included in this recall.
Affected vehicles were built between March and November of last year, but there have been no reports of the problem on any customer-owned vehicles. Porsche first noticed a cracked tailpipe weld on a test vehicle back in May, and since then has found similar problems on other internally owned vehicles, all with more than 25,000 miles on the clock. To fix the problem, dealers will be replacing the mufflers. Scroll down to read the official notice.
Harry Metcalfe shows off his GT2-inspired Porsche 993 Turbo
Sat, Nov 14 2015There have been many versions of the Porsche 911, and the GT2 is among the greats. The hardcore variant of the iconic sports car packs the twin turbochargers from the 911 Turbo, but strips out the creature comforts and all-wheel drive. The 993 was the first generation to get the GT2 treatment, and that's just what Harry Metcalfe appears to have here. Only it isn't actually a GT2. This member of Harry's Garage is a 993 911 Turbo made to look like a GT2. That means it still has the all-wheel drive system from the Turbo model. And it also means that Harry didn't have to pay anywhere near as much as you would for a factory GT2, even on the used market. The founding editor of Evo traded in his 930 – the first 911 to go Turbo – and got this one instead. It may not be as original as his immaculate old 930, but as you can see from the video above, that doesn't make it any less of a thrill to drive. If anything, just the opposite. Related Video:
Porsche Boxster/Cayman GTS, Macan, 911 Targa details leaked
Fri, 27 Sep 2013The folks over at Jalopnik have published some rather interesting images from what looks to be a presentation held inside Porsche's North American headquarters in Atlanta, GA. What these leaked photos reveal is pretty significant - details about several of the brand's upcoming launches, including GTS versions of the Boxster and Cayman, a new 911 Targa, and information about the Macan crossover that will debut at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show. Of course, none of this information has been officially verified, but it all looks and sounds pretty believable to us. So, let's dig in.
First up, Porsche will launch the Boxster and Cayman GTS models at next year's Beijing Motor Show in April. Upgrades for the GTS models will include a 15-horsepower bump, standard manual transmission (with optional dual-clutch PDK), standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and a slightly quicker 0-60 time. Jalopnik reports that these models will cost around $75,000.
We've spied the soon-to-be-revealed Porsche Macan (pictured right) on several occasions, and these slides suggest that the small crossover will have two different types of turbo power under its hood. The Macan S will use a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6, while the Macan Turbo will use a 3.6-liter unit. Seven-speed PDK transmissions are expected to be fitted to both, and this leaked information states that the new, small Porsche will cost $52,000 and $75,000 for the S and Turbo versions, respectively.
