We have a family friend who does door to door, insured shipping, and will do so at a discounted rate to facilitate. Let me know if you need a quote. The car deserves to be put on a truck and trailered to its next home if you are out of State. It is one of the nicest, original, and well preserved mileage 911 Convertibles you may see. The pictures tell most of the story...... and it is even more impressive in person. Priced fairly and comparatively with ones that have more miles.

I reserve the right to end the listing early for any reason, as it is also being listed on other resources. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me directly at: 305-302-4617Properly stored year round and only driven in ideal conditions.

1999 Porsche 911 Cabriolet w/ Hardtop- 6 speed - 27000 miles - all Dealer serviced at Porsche of Melbourne - Special ordered and rare Vesuvio metallic ( $800 ), hardtop option ( $2500 ), 18 turbo wheels ( $1190),  traction control ( $1215 ), and wind deflector ( $215 ) to the tune of $80500.00 when new. Everybody that knows this car says it still looks like it has been sitting in a Dealership for years. It is an awesome, non-smoking, 2 owner, that has been babied, always garaged, and barely seen rain. It is in outstanding, all original condition. Never modified in any way whatsoever. I have all of the original paperwork / window sticker, books / records, hardtop stand / cover, 3 orig. keys, OEM car cover, and front bra - all boxed - SEE PIC.  CAR NEEDS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Not your run of the mill 911 or color for that matter.

The Vesuvio metallic exterior is in immaculate condition, and has never had paint work. The moldings, handles, window glass, lettering, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in crisp condition. The turbo twist wheels are not discolored and Continental the tires have excellent tread. The Black soft top looks like new ( I did not take the hardtop off because you need 2 people around ). Never run through an automatic car wash and always hand washed / waxed are a great part as to why it still looks so fabulous. No rust, wear, or inclement weather exposed to the undercarriage.

On the inside, the Gray interior still looks, feels, and maintains that new car appeal. As you can see in the pics, the leather seats have always been covered, and the orig. floor mats have no wear. The door panels, carpeting, dash, center console, faceplates, etc. are unmarked. All of the interior buttons / switches ( power windows, door locks, cruise, and misc. switches ) work without issue. The stereo system plays perfect.

Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drives smoothly as a "well-oiled" machine should. Dealer service is up to date ( see pic ) - a/c, belts, hoses, fluids all changed / maintained at the proper intervals. The engine compartment / undercarriage are extra clean / dry, and it performs without hesitation. No corner has been cut or expense spared.

The next owner will have years of enjoyable and trouble free use, turning heads when you pull up or drive by.

Aston Martin renames Vantage GT3 after Porsche throws hissy fit

Mon, Mar 23 2015

Porsche has a long history of using the name "GT3" for its hardcore, naturally aspirated 911 models, and that means it's certainly not going to share it with the likes of Aston Martin. See, it seems the arrival of the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show didn't sit well with Stuttgart, which opted to lawyer up. According to Goodwood Road and Racing, attorneys from both sides of the Channel have been in discussion for months over the issue, with Porsche arguing it's been using the GT3 name since 1999, and that makes it theirs. Aston, though, argues that the FIA GT3 racing series makes the name fair game for road cars. Moreover, the Brits point out that the alphanumeric was in use well before Porsche got its mitts on it – GRR rightly points out the Lotus Esprit GT3 hit the streets three years before the 996 GT3. And while we're on the subject, Bentley has its own GT3, but we're guessing its status as one of Porsche's siblings means its immune to this kind of squabbling. Rather than getting into a knock-down, drag-out courtroom brawl with one of the Volkswagen Group's prized brands, though, Aston has taken the high road. The company will rechristen both the road-going Vantage GT3 and Vantage racer as the GT12. While Porsche is no stranger to aggressively protecting what it views as its closely held vehicle names, we have to admit, it seems like Aston actually has something of a case. Do you think the Brits were right to settle and change the Vantage's name, or should they have taken the fight to Porsche? Have your say in Comments.

Leno steals Porsche 918 from The Quail for latest Garage episode

Sat, 31 Aug 2013

Just because he's a famous celebrity doesn't mean Jay Leno got to take it easy at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance earlier this month. Having already spent some time with the gorgeous Cadillac Elmiraj Concept and Ed Welburn for a recent episode of Jay Leno's Garage, the late night talk show host also got to put a few miles on a prototype version of the Porsche 918 Spyder.
Like a usual episode of JLG, Leno first goes over the details of the car with Frank Walliser, head of the 918 Spyder's development, before taking it out for spin. Check out the full episode, which is posted below, to hear what Walliser has to say about the car. More importantly, though, crank up your computer's volume and let the car's high-revving engine and amazing exhaust note do plenty of talking for itself.

Consumer Reports selling its road-tested roadsters [w/video]

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Here's a chance to acquire a celebrity-owned vehicles, and this time at a discount instead of a premium. So the celebrity in this case is Consumer Reports, that magazine that could be equally adored and abhored by car enthusiasts. CR buys all of its test vehicles and usually finds willing second owners within its own ranks, but its opening its small used-car lot to the public. On the forecourt are four roadsters: an automatic 2012 Audi TT 2.0 TFSI Quattro S-Tronic with 6,600 miles for $36,500, a manual 2012 BMW Z4 sDrive28i with 8,400 miles for $45,000, a manual 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK250 for $39,500 and a manual 2013 Porsche Boxster with 7,000 miles for $48,000.
Those numbers mean a savings of $9,000 to $10,000 before haggling - each car is listed with an "Asking price" so there could be some wiggle room if you show up with pockets full of dough and eyes full of serious intent. Since the money CR earns from the sales go back into the magazine's budget to buy more test cars, however, it probably won't take any oddball trades, so you can forget about getting any purchasing help from that track-day AMC Javelin project on blocks in the back yard.
The vehicles have been taken care of and spiffed up for sale; buyers will take delivery at the CR test track in East Haddam, Connecticut and get a tour of the facilities. While you're there they'll even take you on a lap around the track so you can feel how your car handles when driven by one of its testers. They will probably not help you with advice on which toaster and dehumidifier to buy - you'll still need to get a subscription for that. Have a look at the video below to see a day in the life of a CR test car.
