We are posting this vehicle again, due to the fact that the buyer was unable to come up with the funds.
You are purchasing an extremely RARE One Owner 1998 C4S 993 Porsche. This vehicle is in perfect condition that has
been impeccably maintained. The car has been garaged it's entire life.C4S's were more prevalent in the 1996 and
1997 models, making any 1998 very rare. The car has been maintained it's entire life by Bill Brewster Automotive in
San Clemente (who is also helping with the sale of the car). All Oil change services done on schedule, all minor
services performed. Recently had the 60k Mile service done, using all factory Porsche OEM parts. Vehicle has never
been in an accident and has been pampered it's entire life. The wheels are in excellent condition with no road/curb
rash. The paint is absolutely flawless with the most beautiful Ocean Metallic Blue (Midnight Blue). The vehicle has
all of the original dealer/factory stickers. The vehicle has been a California car it's entire life. Car has never
been tracked, or had any lowering racing modifications done. This baby is bone stock and original. Vehicle comes
with complete tool kit. All hood shocks are brand new. Seats operate flawlessly and are in great condition. The
interior is in excellent condition, with the speaker grilles intact. The foor mats are original, however this car
comes with a brand new set of lloyd mats that we were waiting to give to the new owner. The radio and all gauges
function properly. This car was taken care of and never abused. Probably one of the most beautiful Porsche's that I
have ever seen. We hate to sell it, but we are moving and cannot take the car. I want to be very clear on this
specific C4S. This is NOT some car that a dealership took in on trade and shined up. This car is a 1 owner car,
sold by the owner, that was constantly kept in a state to show. We see other cars on here, that have been obviously
lowered with aftermarket wings installed. This is not that Porsche, this is the one that remained stock and was
treated like family. This car comes with Service Manuals that are stamped at every interval, every service invoice,
the original factory window sticker, the original radio code card, with all the original booklets and info. This
C4S is the real deal that everybody has been waiting for.

1974 Porsche 914 EV conversion still looks good
Thu, Jan 23 2014Looking through the pages of the EV Album is a great way to learn about the breadth and depth of the electric vehicle community. Branching well beyond the three dozen or so electric vehicles that are currently sold by major automakers in the US, EV Album showcases lots of DIY conversions of all types. A 1995 Fiat Cinquecento? Check. A 1992 Kewet Eljet 2? No problem. The site's old-fashioned looks (it was started in 1997) show just how long people have been passionate about their EVs. Many of the cars are throwbacks to a previous time and we found a prime example of that, a converted 1974 Porsche 914 (EV Album page here) this week. Now powered by a Prestolite MTC4001 Series Wound DC motor and some flooded nickel-cadmium batteries, the 914 has a top speed of 80 miles per hour and a range of 35 miles. But only "if you are taking it easy," of course. The motor has a peak output of 60 horsepower and 25 hp continuous. Converted over 600 hours (!) to electric power at a cost of $10,000, it is now owned by Charlie Garlow of Maryland. The car is on display at the Washington Auto Show this week and serves as a great reminder of what most EV drivers used to have to do to drive emissions free. Chris Harris gets filthy in a WRC-ready Porsche 911 RGT
Thu, Jan 15 2015Last time we rode with Chris Harris we were shotgun in the tan leather seat of his used-yet-immaculate Ferrari FF. This time we're strapped into a black racing bucket of a filthy Porsche 911 rally car, one that led Harris to effuse, "I don't think I've driven a more exciting car this year, hypercars included." The thrills come courtesy of a 997-series Cup Car that's been reworked by Tuthill Porsche to run in the RGT-class rally series that will piggyback on five World Rally Championship and European Rally Championship races this year. It's not quite the Rothmans Dakar monster, but the RGT series gives privateers an affordable way into rallying with cars that look different and are different from one another. This one kept its 3.8-liter, 444-horsepower 997 Cup engine, but the 39-milllimeter restrictor drops that to about 350 hp. Beyond that are a new rollcage, gear ratios, suspension, fuel tank, underfloor protection and just about everything else. Said the man who built it, it cost "a lot, and it's still costing." But Harris says even though you "have to have your wits about you," it's a hoot to drive. And this is one of the few times you'll hear the phrase "What a tool!" used as a compliment. Check it out in the video above. News Source: Chris Harris on Cars via YouTube Motorsports Porsche Coupe Off-Road Vehicles Racing Vehicles Performance Videos fia rally WRC chris harris porsche 997
Porsche revisits the 911's dirty side with rally history film
Fri, 03 Jan 2014It might not be a coincidence that there are rumors of Porsche revealing a safari version of the 911 at April's Beijing Motor Show, just as the Dakar Rally is about to begin. Adding fuel to the dusty desert fire is a just-released official video of Jeff Zwart driving the Porsche 953 that Jacky Ickx drove to victory in the 1984 edition of the race.
In the video, the seven-time Pikes Peak International Hill Climb winner talks about how he grew up with the 911; it wasn't only the car he learned to drive in, it was his choice of racecar no matter whether the course was tarmac or the dirty stuff.
You can decide for yourself if these recent events are mere coincidence while you enjoy the 953's exhaust note in the video below. If you've got the time to see the 953 during its race-conquering drive and find out what the ersatz Paris-Dakar Rally used to be, we've also included a broadcast of that 1984 race below as well. Fast-forward to 19:44 to see the Porsches cross the open dessert and 29:09 to watch one of them tackle the dunes.
