You are looking at a 1993 Porsche Carrera 2 Cabriolet finished in black, with a brand new black top and cashmere leather interior.This is a no reserve auction on a 1993 with less than 89k miles on it! About 2 years ago, I purchased this car as the result of a life long dream to purchase my dad a Porsche 911 convertible. Well, life changes and he no longer wants to have a manual transmission. The only reason I don't keep this for myself, is that after I gave this to my dad, I found my dream 911 - a 1991 965 Turbo, so I am keeping that and selling this to replace ti with a Tiptronic.
Before I gave the car to my dad, I had it at the mechanic to go through the entire car to make sure everything was up to spec so my dad would have no issues. Items addressed include the following:
- Replaced Convertible Canvas Top
- Tune up - plugs, wires, caps, rotors
- Valve Adjustment, Valve Cover Gaskets Replaced
- Flushed brake fluid with DOT4 and replaced all rubber lines with OEM lines

From what I can tell about this car from the previous owner, he purchased it and drove it in California before relocating to Raleigh, NC.This explains the lack of rust damage in the lower windshield corners as many of the 964 911's had. Overall, this is a clean car, and is ready for the new owner to jump in, put down the top and take off. Please ask as many questions ahead of time as possible. Edit - Now that I have seen the AutoCheck, I see where it shows a odometer discrepancy. I remember when I went to DMV, the seller had checked the not actual mileage box on the title because he drove it to meet me at the notary and added miles to it after we had a bill of sale with the mileage filled out. I explained this to the DMV that the odometer worked and the mileage was correct, so I thought it was a non-issue. I will call them and see if I can do anything to get this changed.

Volkswagen taps Porsche chief for board
Mon, Feb 23 2015Matthias Mueller was promoted to the top position at Porsche in 2010 after a successful stint of developing model lines during his 36 years with the company, mainly at Audi. Having shown the same prowess while overseeing Porsche for the past five years, German outlet Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reports that Mueller will be promoted to the management board of the Volkswagen Group, according to a leaked copy of an agenda for the meeting. It's said that a new spot is being created for him, one that will put him in charge of "overseeing cooperation" among Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, and Porsche. While other group executives are known to hold positions on the board and with brands, or across brands, it isn't clear yet whether Mueller will keep his spot at the CEO of Porsche after the promotion. One thing that is certain is the 61-year-old Mueller doesn't see himself in line for Volkswagen Group CEO Martin Winterkorn's job in 2016, having told FAZ this month, "It's no solution to put a 63-year-old at the head of Volkswagen."
