Up for sale is 1992 Porsche Carrera 2 911/964 convertible. Very rare amazon green metallic with tan leather interior. The car has 155k actual miles. The Porsche comes with tiptronic transmission and air cooled engine. The transmission shifts like it should shift; engine is strong and very reliable. I have service history going back to 1998 and service book with couple stamps (92-98). The paint outside is in good condition it has rock chips and some scratches-micro scratches. The back bumper and the right side there is some scratches on the bumper due to back out from the garage (nothing major check the pictures for details.) The convertible top is fairly new about two years ago installed and it's working properly going up and down without any problems. The front windshield on the left upper side there is a small rock chip but it not cracking. All of the power windows are working. Only the driver side seat is power and the passenger seat is manual. The Porsche has upgrade system with 6 CD stereo. The air-conditioning is working and its blowing cold same as the heater it's in working order. On the right side quarter panel there is some touches up paint check that photo for details. The engine drips some oil, the tires are fairly new 90 % good. Rims are in good shape only the passage side has some scratches’. The Porsche comes with owner’s manuals service book, tool kit, spare tire and two keys and No air pump. I didn’t owner this car for long time, I’m not into tiptronic transmission. I had described the Porsche best of my knowledge, please ask questions or check the photos. Keep in the back of your mind this is a 22 years old car. The car is sold as is without any warranty. My reserve is reasonable please place a bid on the car if you're interested I will not end the auction sooner. On Nov-11-13 at 09:34:43 PST, seller added the following information: You are welcome to do pre-purchase inspection before the auction ends, please no pre-purchase after the auction. |

Porsche Exclusive showcases custom-order 911 Turbo Cabrio
Sun, 06 Apr 2014Porsche is one of the most profitable automakers in the business. In fact, it's said to make about $23,000 on each car it sells, thanks in no small part to an options list that can send the sticker price accelerating quicker than one of its own sports cars. But there are always those for whom even the extensive option list won't be enough, and for just such customers, there is Porsche Exclusive.
The division in Zuffenhausen is tasked with creating even more individualized examples of Porsche vehicles, and it recently did up this 911 Turbo Cabriolet - which, at $160,700, is already one of the most expensive Porsches you can order this side of a 918 Spyder: more than any Boxster, Cayman, Macan or Cayenne, any Panamera other than a Turbo S or Executive - not to mention any other 911 short of a Turbo S.
This particular demo vehicle features a Slate Grey paint job and red interior decked out in more leather than an S&M dungeon - which, come to think of it, would probably be less financially painful than ordering up this car from Porsche Exclusive.
Lamborghini could be sold or spun off from the Volkswagen Group
Sat, Oct 12 2019Volkswagen is reportedly considering a sale or stock listing for its high-end Lamborghini brand. The German automaker is looking to fold the Italian supercar brand into a separate legal entity, reports Bloomberg, which cites "people familiar with the matter" who don't want to be identified "because the deliberations are confidential and no decisions have been made." Any of this sound familiar? The goal of spinning off Lamborghini would be to stockpile more cash and other resources for VW's massive planned push into electric vehicles. Back in March, reports circulated that Volkswagen's "Vision 2030" corporate plan might include plans to focus on the brand's core brands — VW, Audi and Porsche. That means the futures of fringe players like Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti, motorcycle brand Ducati and design firm Italdesign (and note this isn't a comprehensive list of brand's under the expansive VW Group umbrella) are up in the air. VW, according to the report, is targeting a market value of $220 billion, which is a big jump from the brand's current $89 billion valuation. Bloomberg pegged Lamborghini's valuation at around $11 billion back in August, buoyed by sales and profits generated by the introduction of the Urus sport utility vehicle. On the flip side, Lamborghini is currently grappling with how best to update its supercar lineup in the face of ever-increasing emissions regulations.
Porsche 911 GT3 named Performance Car of the Year by Road & Track
Thu, 13 Nov 2014The Porsche 911 GT3 is a very, very good performance car. Yes, we know this is like saying fire is hot and a shovel to the head hurts. What's different about this proclamation, then? Well, we bring up the 911 GT3's inherent goodness because our friends at Road & Track have named it their 2015 performance car of the year.
This is, our joking aside, a big accomplishment for the 911 GT3, due largely to the field of cars it beat out. There were many equally track-focused wonders in attendance, including the Ferrari 458 Speciale, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and Dodge Viper SRT TA, as well as more capable everyday vehicles, like the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe, BMW M3 and Ford Mustang GT.
But it was the 475-horsepower, rear-engined track star that R&T fell for, with editor-in-chief Larry Webster calling out the Porsche's ridiculous, howling, 9,000-rpm redline, while other editors cited its phenomenal handling character.
