Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States
Call Jeff at 616-881-2429 No Reserve!!! This
two owner vehicle was sold new in Vienna, VA where it stayed in the hands of
the original family until 1997 when it was purchased by a gentleman in Maryland
where it was stored and used sparingly.
Car received routine Maintaince and was cared for. Car received
the 30k and 60k service as well as a recent service for belts, fluids and cam
tensioner lines. Car shows very nice in it's factory Grand Prix white exterior and Burgundy leather interior. Vehicle also
was ordered with the following factory features; Cruise control, locking
differential, Hi-Fi Stereo with Amplifier and extra speakers on back shelf,
velour carpet in luggage compartment and Forged Grand Prix white wheels.
Vehicle comes with keys, books, service records, tools and spare tire. Car remains in excellent shape and appears to be all original paint with proper VIN tags to prove no body panels have been replaced. Targa roll hoop was repainted in 2008 along with all new rubber seals and rubber door seals. Upgraded 9’s on the rear wheels gives this Targa a bold stance and better handling. Updated stereo was added along with a few extra speakers that sound very impressive. Leather seats are in very nice shape and represent the miles on the car. Carpet retains its original state and shows and looks very nice. All gauges function properly and car performs nicely on the road. Other than the A/C needing a recharge this car is ready for the open road and can be enjoyed without any significant service or repairs. AutoCheck and Carfax both show that in 1995 the DMV reported NAM. We have no idea behind the story on this but the car currently shows as a 100K mile car should. Current Maryland Title shows 74,965 Miles and states Actual when last owner bought the car. We are a License and Bonded dealer in Michigan. $198 Doc fee will be in addition to the selling price. In Michigan any car over 10 years of age is sold as miles Exempt. |

Porsche rolls out new 919 Hybrid at racing gala
Mon, 16 Dec 2013That Porsche is returning to Le Mans next year with a top-tier LMP1 entry is no news - we've known that for some time. We've even seen pictures of the car in question undergoing testing at various racetracks across Europe, been told who'll be driving it and given some basic parameters of what will make it go. We just haven't known what to call it, but now we do.
In detailing its full endurance racing program for next year at its Night of Champions in Weissach, Porsche has revealed that its new LMP1 racecar will be called the 919 Hybrid. So, something like the 918 Spyder, only one faster. With a four-cylinder engine and a pair of electric motors, the 919 Hybrid will be taking on the top class at Le Mans next year, with a compelling roster of drivers on the docket: along with Mark Webber, Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Neel Jani, Porsche has assigned its works driver Marc Lieb and F1 test driver Brendon Hartley to the effort. But that's not all Porsche has in store.
The factory is also supporting teams that will campaign the 911 RSR in the FIA World Endurance Championship as well as the United SportsCar Championship here in the US, taking Porsche off the pit wall and right in the race seat for next year as part of a comprehensive new racing program, details of which you can read in the press release below.
Man arrested for stealing part of Paul Walker Porsche wreck
Fri, 06 Dec 2013Humans are odd creatures. Some of us collect things associated with bad events, particularly when it comes to cars. Your author, for example, has the grille of his wrecked 2004 Mini Cooper S hanging on the wall. As a more extreme example, an 18-year-old Californian is in trouble with the LA police, but not for taking an item from his own car accident. Instead, he has been arrested for stealing from the wreck of the Porsche Carrera GT that killed actor Paul Walker and racer Roger Rodas.
And it wasn't a small piece, either. It was the Carrera GT's carbon-fiber roof panel. Making matters worse is word that the theft happened while the tow truck that was hauling the wrecked Porsche was sitting in traffic. According to the LA Sheriff's Department report, "A witness saw a male exit a vehicle that was following the tow truck. The male grabbed a piece of the wrecked Porsche off the tow truck bed." Besides the eyewitnesses, it didn't help that images of the roof panel were later posted on Instagram.
The man, Jameson Witty, was later arrested at his home, where police also found the roof panel. The driver of the car Witty was in when he took the roof panel, meanwhile, is planning on surrendering to the police, according to CNN. It remains unclear if the district attorney's office will charge the two, although if it does, they'll be facing felony grand theft and tampering with evidence.
Automakers want to stop the EPA's fuel economy rules change, and why that's a shortsighted move
Tue, Dec 6 2016With a Trump Administration looming, the EPA moved quickly after the election to propose finalizing future fuel economy rules last week. The auto industry doesn't like that (surprise), and has started making moves to stop the EPA. Ford CEO Mark Fields said he wanted to lobby Trump to lower the standards, and now the Auto Alliance, a manufacturer group, is saying it will join the fight against cleaner cars. The Alliance represents 12 automakers: BMW, Fiat Chrysler, Ford, GM, Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Porsche, Toyota, VW, and Volvo. Gloria Bergquist, a spokesperson for the Alliance, told Automotive News that the "EPA's sudden and controversial move to propose auto regulations eight months early - even after Congress warned agencies about taking such steps while political appointees were packing their bags - calls out for congressional action to pause this rulemaking until a thoughtful policy review can occur." The EPA was going to consider public comments through April 2017, but then said it would move the deadline to the end of December. That means that it can finalize the rules before President Obama leaves office. The director of public affairs for the Consumer Federation of America, Jack Gillis, said on a conference call with reporters last week when the EPA originally announced its decision that it is unlikely that President Trump will be able to roll back these changes. Gillis also said on the same call that any attempt by the automakers to prevent these changes would be history repeating itself. "These are the same companies that fought airbags, and now promoting the fact that every car has multiple airbags," he said. "These are the same companies that fought the crash-test program, and now are promoting the crash-test ratings published by the government. So, it's clear that they're misperceiving the needs of the American consumer." There are more reasons the Allliance's pushback is flawed. Carol Lee Rawn, the transportation program director for Ceres, said on that call that the automotive industry is a global one, and many automakers are moving to global platforms to help them meet strict fuel economy rules around the world.
