documented three owner California car. Car is totally original: body panels, paint, glass, all trim, carpet,
leather. Gorgeous, freshly serviced, no stories car. Needs absolutely nothing!
Well optioned per Porsche Certificate of Authenticity with cruise control, raised steering wheel hub, and more PLUS
original Blaupunkt cassette stereo currently being refurbished that will be reinstalled in the car prior to
delivery. Over the course of the car's history polished fuchs wheels, correct Carrera graphics, and correct OEM
911 Carrera tail have been added to accent the sporting nature of the Grand Prix White with Navy Blue leather color
combination. Original unblemished rear deck lid included with sale of the car.
Exterior: Grand Prix White paint color loved by Porsche enthusiasts in excellent original condition. This car has
absolutely no dings or dents in the paint or body panels. All trim, lenses, glass, and moldings are original and
as new. Targa top is near perfect. Wheels in excellent condition. Brand new OEM headlights at a cost of $1,200.
Undercarriage cleaned for concourse showing. This car has been loved since new and it shows top to bottom. The
car garners many comments when out and about.
Interior: Navy leather seats, door panels, carpets trimmed with navy blue steering wheel, door tops and dash. All
leather and vinyl in original beautiful condition. No tears or stains just clean, supple and fresh interior
appointments. Most cars of this vintage suffer from faded segments of their interior...this car is close to new.
Dash and all trim free of warping or cracking. All switch gear works as it should.
Mechanical: The car just underwent a service in June of 2015 where anything needed was tended to. Car performs
flawlessly and is in excellent mechanical condition. No signs of leaks or weeping in the engine bay or
transmission. Excellent service history and most records are with the car. Tires have about 3/4 tread use left on
them.
Additional: Certificate of Authenticity, Owner's Manuals, Service Records, Spare Tire, Targa Top Cover, and Tool
Kit are all with car. Tire compressor was misplaced at some point (easy to source if desired).
A wonderful air cooled G50 transmission 911 that presents itself beautifully. Low miles...but not so low it'll
stop you from experiencing air cooled nirvana from time to time on perfect weather days.

Porsche gives Nick Murray exactly what he deserved [w/video]
Sat, 19 Apr 2014The tale of Nick Murray and his lemon Porsche 911 appears to have come to a satisfactory end. As noted in the original story about Murray, he and Porsche Cars North America met and came to a resolution. However, we didn't know exactly what that meant, until now.
Murray has created a new video explaining that PCNA offered to buy back the car at full price or give him an exact replacement for it. This was exactly what he was asking for. Murray remains pro-Porsche in the new video. "I am definitely considering reordering a Porsche 911," he says.
Porsche also posted a message on its Facebook page that clarified the situation. "We at Porsche have always sought excellence in all that we do. We know you expect it of us. And when we don't meet that standard, we make every effort to improve," said a portion of the note.
Porsche 918 Spyder with Weissach package does 0-62 mph in 2.6 seconds
Mon, 18 Nov 2013Porsche marketers are having a field day with the 918 Spyder after some last-minute tuning improved the car's performance. They now say that it's so fast it's already beaten itself. Let us explain: Using a Weissach package-equipped 918 as an example (which reduces the plug-in hybrid supercar's weight through the deletion of some interior items, more generous use of carbon fiber and magnesium wheels), the car's previous official 0-62 miles-per-hour time of 2.8 seconds has been cut to 2.6. Additionally, 0-124 mph takes 7.2 seconds and 0-186 mph is dispatched in 19.9 seconds, times that were reduced by half a second and 2.1 seconds, respectively.
In all-electric mode, a non-Weissach pack 918 does 0-62 mph in 6.2 seconds (with the package, 6.1 seconds), down from 6.9 seconds. Efficiency is also improved thanks to the final tuning. The New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) rating of a Weissach pack-equipped car equates to 94 miles per gallon, up three mpg compared to before. That's pretty good for a car with 887 horsepower!
Check out the press release below for more details on how Porsche's final tuning measures improved its flagship supercar.
What's the deal with comedians and their cars?
Mon, May 22 2017'Round about the time in his life when it should happen for all of us, Jerry Seinfeld's ship came in with a force that almost split the dock. He'd been doing pretty well with his observational style ("There's a cereal now that's just cookies. Have you seen this? Cookies for breakfast. It's called Cookie Crisp. Cookies for breakfast! They oughta just call it 'To Hell With Everything!'"). But he showed no signs of setting the world on fire until he got cast in a show that was either about – depending on the level of comedy geek you ask – the average New Yorker, the very worst people in the world, or nothing. Suddenly Jerry Seinfeld was pretty much the center of the comedy universe. And while his comedy was at once both brilliantly innovative and rooted in the mundane, his next move was a predictable grab at something exotic – he went out and bought his dream car. A rather nice 911, actually. As almost everyone knows, it didn't stop there, and the man put together one of the most enviable collections of iconic Porsches we're likely to see. So what's the connection, if there is one, between cars and comedy? As far as Jerry Seinfeld (the man) is concerned, he's probably not the same guy as the Jerry on Seinfeld (the show) although it's hard to say for sure; his public persona is almost unnervingly well managed. But cars and comedy were the constants in his life then, and, well, just look at what the guy does now; Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is a cultural constant, and we're certainly seeing Seinfeld the man in that one, and cars are obviously still central to his life. And it's been that way with a lot of very, very good comedy guys. Cars seem to round out their lives, to become the yin to their comedy yang. Ernie Kovacs might not have invented visual gags or surreal humor, but he got them both to kill on television in the 1950s, so he's a comedy hero. He died behind the wheel of his beloved Corvair wagon, so he's absolutely some kind of car-guy hero as well. Bill Cosby, the hottest name in comedy for a good long while, had Ferraris, one of two fire-breathing supercharged big-block Cobras (pictured below), and a BMW 2002tii – none of which either contributed to or in any way make up for the profoundly sociopathic creature he turned out to be, but it's still a data point. The Smothers Brothers, who defied the networks and the norms by getting blatantly political before that sort of thing was cool, went sports car racing.
