1986 Black Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe 2-door 3.2l 113163 Miles Great Condition on 2040-cars
Knox, Indiana, United States
This car is in terrific condition for a 1986. I believe I am the third owner and have driven it only in the summer on nice sunny days, and in the winter it was always put on jacks and stored under a cover. There are no major mechanical problems with this car that I am aware of and it is ready to drive and enjoy. The AC needs to be charged and this is typical for the older 911's. I believe it is the original paint and only has a couple of very minor spots that can use some attention. NO BODY OR SURFACE RUST The interior is close to perfect with two tiny spots on the carpet that have a stain. The stereo is after factory and it rocks!! (I do still have the original head)The tires have hardly any wear and were put on a few years back along with a new clutch. The color combination and black and gold rims most definitely set this car apart and it is simply an awesome looking vehicle. I have maintenance records from as long as I have owned it and even a few from before. I believe this vehicle was owned by true Porsche lovers from day one and taken care of and respected like a Porsche should. This car was featured as a special edition of Johnny Lightning matchbox cars and I have one in the package to include with the car (see pics as well) I am selling this car in an effort to purchase a newer 911 and simply don't have the room in my garage to keep it. If you are looking for a true classic/antique 911 you have found it. I am open to any questions or concerns but no B.S. please. This car would have to be picked up in Northwest Indiana and paid for with cash, or guaranteed funds through ebay.

Ferraris, Porsches and planes star at McCall’s Motorworks Revival
Thu, Aug 17 2017MONTEREY, Calif. – McCall's Motorworks Revival, sometimes called The Jet Party, kicked off vintage car week here as enthusiasts streamed into the region for days of car shows, official automaker events and hob-knobbing leading up to Sunday's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Held at the Monterey Jet Center, the revival featured an array of exotic and classic cars blended in with planes, racecars, motorcycles and luxury items like jewelry. This year the eclectic lineup of cars included vintage Ferraris and Porsches, a raised 1964 Chevy Impala, a classic Toyota Land Cruiser and a Cobra. The 1960s Ford GT40 racecar sat near the modern Ford GT, while Camilo Pardo, the designer of the in-between generation (2004-06), held court nearby. Iconic planes like the B25, P51 and an ancient biplane were intermingled with the flashy cars. Show-goers tipped drinks, tossed back heavy hors d'oeuvres and desserts, ogled the seemingly random collection of amazing machines and prepared for days of celebrating the automobile on the Monterey Peninsula. The revival is in its 26th year and is put on by McCall Events, whose owner Gordon McCall is a class judge at the concours and the cofounder another Monterey car week staple, the Quail. The revival also collects donations for a California police charity. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Ferrari 458 Speciale vs Porsche 911 GT3 shows what Chris Harris does best
Thu, Nov 27 2014After a brief trip behind a pay wall, British auto journalist Chris Harris is back posting videos for free online, and shorts like this one are the perfect example of why his return is so welcome. Showing up at the damp Anglesey Circuit on the Welsh coast with the Ferrari 458 Speciale and Porsche 911 GT3, Harris ostensibly aims to find the better model. However, the final result really succeeds in showcasing the fun to be had behind the wheels of both supercars, particularly when initiating huge slides around the track. As Harris presents it, the vehicles get through the circuit in somewhat different ways The Ferrari is brash and "feels alive," as he puts it as it screams around the track. Alternatively, the Porsche is a bit more restrained, while still being able to show some emotion. In the end, it comes down to trying to get a controlled lap around Anglesey from this duo, but it's pretty clear that the times don't tell the whole story. If you're in the mood to watch two of the world's premiere supercars wag their tails in the wet, then this video cannot be missed.
Porsche's baby Panamera delayed until 2019 or later
Tue, 15 Jul 2014If you're enticed by the idea of a Porsche sedan but find the Panamera to be too big, your hopes may have been raised by the development of the so-called Pajun. But don't get those hopes up too much, because the latest word coming in from the Old World has it that the Panamera Junior has been delayed.
The Pajun was (and theoretically still is, despite tardiness) a project to apply to the Panamera the same winning formula that Porsche used to transmute the Cayenne into the smaller Macan. Its size would be closer to the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class than the larger Panamera, and employ an array of six-cylinder engines.
The smaller five-door was set to be the cornerstone of Porsche Product Strategy 2018, a plan that included several new models to be launched within the next four years. However, reports now indicate that the Volkswagen Group is counting on Porsche to help bolster its profits and is not keen on investing in new products at this time, pushing the Pajun and other projects back until 2019 at the earliest. Although much of the strategy remains undisclosed, it is believed to include (or have included) a sub-Boxster sports car and a supercar to slot in between the 911 and the 918 Spyder. There was also talk of a shooting brake version of the Panamera based on the Sport Turismo concept pictured above. What will become of those projects, however, remains to be seen.
