1984 - Porsche 911 on 2040-cars
Clarksville, Pennsylvania, United States
1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Cab, 69k original miles, custom built slantnose on an accident free and rust free southern car. Aftermarket 1 piece fiberglass front fenders and bumper/splitter. Extra Wide (RWB style) 993 Turbo S rear quarters, 993 door handles, interior, door panels, power seats, manual top, 18" 3-piece Speedlines with good tread left. Southern car until 2011 when I brought it to PA. Has covered only 2,000 miles in 3 years of ownership. Babied and lots of fun. Needs nothing, new front wheel bearings installed over the summer, other than that everything's mechanically sound. Custom Alpine Stereo, Chip and Fabspeed exhaust round out the upgrades. Please call with any questions. Leaks a dime size drop of oil every month, common on these air cooled 911's. No issues, could drive this across the country if you wanted.

CEO says Volkswagen's buying spree is over
Mon, 03 Sep 2012
After adding Italian motorcycle icon Ducati to its stable and spending $5.6 billion on the rest of Porsche, Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn says he's done shopping for a while.
"We have enough to do at the moment in taking our twelve brands to where we want to be," Winterkorn tells German newspaper Handelsblatt.
2015 Porsche Cayenne GTS proves performance is relative
Thu, Nov 20 2014The Turbo may be the most powerful model in the Cayenne range, but the GTS is arguably the enthusiast's choice. (In so far as a 4,500-pound crossover can be considered an "enthusiast's choice," anyway.) And now, after refreshing the rest of the Cayenne lineup, Porsche has revealed the new Cayenne GTS, alongside its new 911 GTS stablemate, here at the LA Auto Show. Like the new Cayenne S, the new GTS drops the previous version's atmospheric V8 for a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6, but ups the output to 440 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque to propel Zuffenhausen's portliest to 62 in a scant 5.2 seconds. Alongside the power upgrade, the GTS gets a lowered air suspension and sportier exhaust, the beefier brakes from the Cayenne Turbo and an upgraded aero kit to help with the whole barn-door-profile thing. Just don't expect all that extra kit and the prestige of a Porsche badge on your crossover to come cheap, with prices starting at $95,500 (plus $995 destination).
Porsche's high-tech 'mirror' turns every car into a Macan
Wed, Dec 17 2014Porsche calls it the "Magic Mirror," but it's less a reflective device and more 12 high-def screens that track drivers pulling into the valet area at a mall in Los Angeles. As they pass the screens in their cars, they get to see what they'd look like pulling up in a Macan, Porsche's newest and smallest crossover. It could be considered the experiential evolution of a prior campaign that let people imagine how a Porsche would look in their driveways, an idea that was taken even further by a dealer in Toronto a few years later. Check out the video to see how it was done and how it was received.
