I have been blessed with a new family member, so it is now time to sell my Porsche to someone who can love it as much as I have.

This Porsche has the rare and beautiful color combination of Silver (Pewter) on Red. The exterior is in excellent condition without rust. The interior is gorgeous with normal wear but no tears. The targa top is in excellent condition without tears or leaks. The car was fully detailed by a professional service this spring.

The car is mechanically sound and drives brilliantly.  Major service was performed less than 5000 miles ago and the oil was changed this spring. New front tires, rear with > 50% tread.  It does not leak oil at all.  The title is clear.  The AC does not take a charge.  The obvious cosmetic flaws are a scratch on the passenger door, mild abrasion to right rear underpanel, and worn front seats.  I replaced the front hood when a truck with a trailer hitch put a small dent in it.  Hence the hood looks flawless.  It has had the timing belt tensioner upgrade and the pop-off valve upgrade.  Clutch was replaced at 15k ago.  The front tires are new, the rear with >50% tread.  The car was serviced at Stuttgart Northeast of Danvers MA for most of its life, and at Marque Motors in Portland OR  when I lived there from 2002-2005, and then Automotive Engineering in Lexington MA for the last 8 years.  It has never been driven in the winter and has been garaged every night of its life, even during the summer.  I have documentation of all service back to the original owner.

Porsche spotted testing next-gen Panamera in the snow

Thu, Jan 22 2015

It's winter testing season in northern Sweden, and the latest spy shots our paparazzi on the ground have brought us is the upcoming Porsche Panamera testing in the cold and snow. The upcoming new four-door Porsche, spied wearing only minimal camouflage, appears to have a more elegant and sloping roofline than the existing model. Other details like the lights, mirrors and grille openings look fairly consistent with what we've been seeing on Porsche's other models as they've trickled out. Based on the new MSB platform, the new Panamera is set to share its underpinnings with the next Bentley Continental and possibly an Audi variant as well – though the prospect of a Lamborghini version to follow the Estoque concept seems to be off the table. The new platform will, however, make the new Panamera lighter than the current model. A new range of V6 and V8 engines are expected to provide motivation, driving the rear wheels or all four, along with the available e-hybrid system. Porsche's first four-door sedan was introduced in 2009 and underwent a facelift in 2013, so the all-new second-generation model should arrive sometime later this year or next as a 2017 model. This new model could provide the impetus for Porsche to put the Sport Turismo shooting brake version into production as well, and maybe – just maybe – a two-door coupe and possible convertible versions to follow in the footsteps of the 928.

Parents of terminally ill child sue after son dies following make-a-wish-style ride

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

Some stories are so sad and depressing, they make you want to go back to bed and pull the covers over your head. This is one such story. 14-year-old Raphael Wittman was suffering from an unspecified form of terminal cancer when he was invited by the children's cancer charity Kinder Krebs Hilfe to a charity drive organized by Porsche Forum Austria. During the drive, the Porsche Boxster Wittman was riding in was involved in a head-on collision. Both of his legs were broken and he bit off his tongue in the wreck. He died seven weeks later, in a Vienna hospital. Now, his father is suing the charity, claiming that the accident robbed his son of the will to live.
"The accident set off a chain of events starting with the doctors putting him on new medication for the cancer he had. He was always a fighter, but suddenly he was saying that he was not going to fight any more," Franz Wittman told Austria's Kurier, according to The Guardian. "We would have had a wonderful last time together [on vacation] but it never happened because of the accident."
Father and son were originally planning to go to Tenerife to spend time together, although those plans were cancelled following the accident.

Porsche planning customer driving center at Le Mans

Fri, 29 Nov 2013

Porsche seems to be on a campaign to build driving centers for its customers to allow them to experience the capabilities of their cars on track. It has one under way in Los Angeles, another in development at its North American headquarters in Atlanta, and a British center set up at the Silverstone circuit. Now the latest reports indicate that Porsche is planning yet another driving center at Le Mans.
The new facility is earmarked to be built at the Circuit de la Sarthe right by the start/finish line, incorporating the Porsche Curves that bridge the Arnage corner and the Ford Chicanes on the West side of the famous track.
Porsche is reportedly still seeking approval from the Automobile Club de l'Ouest that manages the circuit, and once given the green light, would still take some time to complete. But the idea of driving a 911 flat out on the legendary track is likely to make more than a few mouths water, particularly as the German automaker prepares its full-on assault of the famous endurance race next year.
