Well over $50,000 invested over the past 1 1/2 years from the previous owner whos quest was to have a car of the quality of a new car all while retaining the old feel. Previous owner is the owner of the dealerships family member who included our dealership's hand in all the extensive upgrades. All service history and records included (VERY EXTENSIVE and can't be e mailed/faxed easily). Here is the chance to own a vehicle previously owned by “Mr Fussy” himself who cared more about the finished product than the cost that associated itself with.
In an effort to NOT write a short story or a cliff noted novel please be advised I am more than happy to discuss this car over the phone with anyone so as to completely answer any questions one may have pertaining to condition. I am never bothered with this type of questioning so again please feel free! Please ask for Doug Blizzard, I am the owner and the most knowledgeable of this particular car. I can be reached at (503) 238 5510 at my office or (503) 784 2822 on my cell phone, or lastly doug@blizzardmotors.com.
I have checked this car for damage and have found none. All the fender openings still have a ridge of undercoating that lines the wheel arch. Inside the bonnet you can easily see the shock towers haven’t been altered and still have the original sealant around the welds along with the correct factory overspray in the bonnet itself that hides behind the carpet kit.
As to flaws of this vehicle, this can be easily summarized in but a few sentences. I have personally done an extensive visual inspection to the exterior of this vehicle and have found exactly 2 rock chips and some small chips at the trailing edge of the drivers door (all these can easily be touched up in a matter of seconds). At one time the windshield had a slight leak, included with the vehicle sale is a new windshield gasket if you care to replace it. These are the only things found on this car that could be construed as glaringly obvious. Any person viewing this vehicle will be impressed in every aspect everywhere they look!
Now for the legal stuff!! Let me please make myself very clear, this is an auction to purchase, not an advertisement to market! I feel the reserve on this vehicle is realistic as I have dealt in Porsches of this vintage for almost 20 years now. The reserve WILL NOT be revealed,……….that’s why they call it an auction! Any bid taken will be a bid to buy with no exception. The car is available for pre inspection at my place of business in Portland Oregon. If any prospective purchaser wants to have the car pre inspected please feel free to do so. I am more than happy to get the car to any service facility you wish and can even recommend some Porsche only shops here in town. Inspections will need to be done BEFORE the end of the auction without exception. If you are in fact the winning bidder, a deposit of $1,000 will need to be made within three (3) days of close of the auction. This deposit will be without refund. Final payment will need to be made within seven (7) days of close of the auction. I don’t own a transport company, therefore any transportation estimates are purely estimates if given by me or my dealership personnel. Transportation will be the financial responsibility of the purchaser. Payment of both the deposit and final payment is to be made in U.S. currency. I accept cashier’s checks or cash only. If you are financing this purchase, please have your financing in place prior to purchase with our notification of your intentions. I do reserve the right to close the auction early due to local purchase as this car is for retail sale here at our dealership. With this being said, enjoy the bidding and good luck to all.

All Porsche 911s to get turbos in 2015?
Sun, 19 Oct 2014Currently, Porsche builds two turbocharged 911s - the Turbo and the Turbo S (and their cabriolet counterparts). The rest of the 911 range, meanwhile, is motivated by either 3.4- or 3.8-liter flat-sixes of varying outputs. This clear separation could be set to change in the very near future, though, as rumors continue to swirl that Porsche's rear-engined range could switch exclusively to turbocharged power.
This time, it's Car projecting that the 911 range will go turbocharged as part of a mid-cycle refresh, with the base Carrera's 3.4-liter dropping to 2.9 liters and adding an iron lung, bumping the entry level 911 up to 400 horsepower. Yes, a 400-horsepower, entry level 911. The Carrera S, meanwhile, will retain its 3.8-liter engine, but will also benefit from turbocharging, increasing output to 530 horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque. So basically, it sounds like the current, 520-hp 911 Turbo will become the next Carrera S.
What does that mean for Porsche's traditional high-performance models? Well, it's a safe bet that the Turbo, Turbo S and eventual GT2 will be producing seriously huge power figures. Based on pure speculation, we wouldn't be shocked to see a 600-hp Turbo, with the S and GT2 increasing output markedly from there.
Are you the next Porsche 911 GT3 RS or GT2?
Thu, 17 Apr 2014Porsche typically keeps to a suitably fast schedule when it comes to rolling out increasingly hard-core performance versions of the 911. After the 997 Carrera debuted in 2004, the GT3 version followed in 2006, and by the end of the 2007, Porsche had rolled out both the GT3 RS and GT2 versions. Then the facelifted 997.5 came out in 2008 and it was back to the start: the GT3 came in 2009, the GT3 RS and GT2 RS in 2010, and the GT3 RS 4.0 in 2011. But things have slowed down some with the latest 991 generation.
The new Carrera came in 2011 and the GT3 followed in 2012. By recent history's example, we should have at least two more hardcore models by now, but we don't. Maybe the engineers in Zuffenhausen have had their hands full fixing the spontaneous-combustion issues with the existing GT3, or maybe their attentions have been focused elsewhere altogether. But if these spy shots are anything to go by, it seems like they're back on the job.
Now we don't know if this prototype foreshadows a new GT3 RS or a GT2, but it sure looks more hard-core than the existing GT3 that many purists have derided as too soft, what with its automatic transmission and four-wheel steering.
Seinfeld takes Seth Meyers out in the perfect Porsche
Sat, 13 Jul 2013The latest episode of Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee features Seth Meyers of Saturday Night Live fame riding shotgun in what is a very special Porsche from host Jerry Seinfeld's collection: a 1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7. Seinfeld chose the "no-nonsense" sports car because he thought it fit his guest's personality (Meyers thinks motorcycles "are like the cigarette of transportation"), but we enjoy the chance to see one of these rare, über-valuable Porsches being driven on city streets - and in the rain, no less! What we don't like seeing is the Carrera RS being parallel parked behind a pick-up truck, though, fortunately, it seems that Seinfeld was able to avoid any front-end damage to the comparatively fragile Porsche.
Once at the coffee shop, the two comedians have a candid conversation about Meyers' time with SNL, from his early days on the show when he didn't think he was good enough to be a cast member to some of the high points in his career, such as SNL's "Really!?" segment that he performed in and how he became a writer for the show.
After coffee, when they're back in the car and Seinfeld opens up the throttle of the lightweight RS 2.7, he manages to eke out a big grin from Meyers - or maybe it was a grimace at the thought of driving in the rain on old tires. Whatever the case, be sure to watch the video below (and stay tuned until the end for a surprise).
