1976 Porsche 911 Targa. Rare Aluminum Pkg. Rust Free. 92k Original Miles. on 2040-cars
Stony Point, New York, United States
Up for sale. My 1976 Porsche 911 Targa. It has a factory Aluminum look option. Very rare.
Very solid car with no rust. Always kept indoors from day one. Oil changed every spring.I purchased this car from a close friend a few years back and have enjoyed driving her during the summer with the roof off. The car run and drives great. Service history that was performed less than 2000 miles ago includes: New axles Tires Spark plug wires Zimmerman front and rear rotors Brake pads Brake hoses All brake hardware replaced Brake fluid flush Points Clutch pedal spring Shifter bushings (shifts nice and tight) Clutch pedal bushing kit Brake master cylinder Clutch clevis pin Clutch cable kit oil lines Tale light lens The Porsche has had a repaint years before i purchased it and looks great. Not a show car but very presentable. There is no visible rust but there are a couple of dings and dents and a scratch on the hood. The targa top could use a refinishing. The interior is in amazing condition. No dash cracks or signs or wear at all. The drivers seat has wear but no rips. The drivers side door is missing the compartment flap and the drivers side window operates but does not close the last 3" or so. The undercarriage has absolutely no rust or soft spots. Overall this is a great car and great investment as we all know how fast they are appreciating. Especially the early models with lots of chrome. Please contact me with any questions or to come and take a look. Email for a link with over 78 pics of the car. Thanks for looking. Porsche 918 Spyder pre-production version in all its almost-done glory
Sun, 18 Aug 2013Porsche continues the long tease of its upcoming 918 Spyder, with the latest instantiation here at the Pebble Beach Concours, with the car presented in pre-production form to the throngs on the golf course.
Just a few days ago Porsche dropped an image of the car on its official Twitter feed. True to that leak, this 918 looks damn near what we expect the full customer version to be when it is officially debuted in Frankfurt. The neon-green brake calipers are items new to this version of the 918, and seem to be an identical color to those found on the Panamera S E-Hybrid.
When it shows up as a drivable piece, expect the Porsche supercar, with its gasoline-electric drivetrain, to be pretty insane. Horsepower in excess of 800 ponies will be available with a toe-tap, while the price of entry is expected to come within shouting distance of $850,000. A good deal for Porsche to bring the thing to Pebble then, where buyers with that kind of cash are think on the ground (and most likely wearing sherbet-colored trousers).
Watch onboard video of the Porsche 918 Spyder's record 'Ring lap
Tue, 10 Sep 2013"Pics or it didn't happen!" You could almost hear the Internet shouting this when news started to trickle in about a sub-seven-minute Nürburgring lap by the new Porsche 918 Spyder. Well, after an official press release, which we ran earlier today, we have your "pics." Moving pics, to be more exact. Porsche has released on-board footage of the 6:57 lap.
The video, which runs about eight-and-a-half minutes, and shows the 918 from inside the car on a flying lap of the German track. Perhaps what's remarkable is just how undramatic it all looks. Sure, there's some sawing at the wheel from test driver Marc Lieb (one of three testers, including legendary rally king Walter Röhrl), but he makes wrangling the Martini-liveried 918 look kind of easy.
Take a look down below for the full, on-board video, and then click over and read our initial write-up from earlier this morning and take a glance at the more stylized video that Porsche originally posted.
Porsche digitally dissects its 918 Spyder for your viewing pleasure
Wed, 02 Oct 2013At this point, you'd think we'd know all there is to know about the 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder - except what it's like to drive - but Porsche has released a new video giving us a more in-depth look at its new plug-in hypercar all the same. The animated video gives us numerous cutaway looks at the 918 Spyder while giving a visual demonstration of the car's four hybrid driving modes.
Though nowhere near as exciting as watching the 918 blast around the Nürburgring in record time, this new video is nonetheless both interesting and informative. Scroll down to watch the video yourself, and be sure to check out our live gallery of the production version of the car along with a stock gallery.
