This is a wonderful 1973.5 Porsche 911T CIS coupe in beautiful light yellow and dark brown interior. The car is #’s matching. It currently shows 24k miles, but it’s probably 124k or 224k miles. Was a CA car most its life. In 2003 it moved to TX where it stayed here until it moved to Georgia briefly before I bought it. The car is factory optioned with original steel S spoiler, S instruments (has wrong tach but correct T tach will be installed in the car), S suspension (alloy calipers, front and rear sway bars), S trim, and rare black headliner. The interior is very presentable and clean. The driver’s seat was reupholstered but the rest of the seats are still in original vinyl in excellent condition. The map pockets are missing. The original black headliner is in beautiful shape. The sunvisors have become soft and puffy. The paint is beautiful and very presentable. It definitely has flaws such as chips throughout and some slight dings/dents/touchups. Hard to see in pics but I’ve included some close ups to show this. Most the chips are on the front hood. The biggest dent is located in the center of the S spoiler. Some areas have original paint that is poking through. The jambs are still original paint. Overall I rate the paint to be an 8/10. No rust, solid underneath. Has the undercoating throughout the bottom. Tires are old and needs replacing. Mechanically the car drives wonderful. All lights work properly. Wipers are good. Radio doesn’t turn on. Heater works good. The engine idles perfect and has tremendous power. Great oil pressure. She runs like a scalded cat. The cold start needs to be looked at in the near future. It can be cranky starting on cold mornings, but after running for a minute or two, the idle is good. I never had an issue until it started getting cold here in the last few months. In the summer and fall I didn’t have any problems at all. Tons of paperwork. The car has a 2 inch stack of paperwork that dates back to 1984. Jack, spare wheel, and carpet are included. Again, lots of paperwork included with the car. A car like this with great options, colors, and documentation will always be desirable and hold the most value. And you just can’t beat light yellow (117). Please feel free to ask any questions.

Another naked Porsche 911 GT3 RS caught in Stuttgart parking garage

Tue, Jan 6 2015

With its reveal not expected until the Geneva Motor Show in April, we have to wonder why there'd be a rode-hard-put-away-wet 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS sitting out in the open, completely uncovered. It's one thing to be caught out on the street or in triplicate at a Swedish gas station, but it's another thing to be on what looks like daily driving duty – there's a child's seat in the passenger's throne. Instagram user Johan9ff snagged it, and in response to a query in German as to how, he answered in German (per Google Translate) that he found it in a parking garage in a fitness center in the Stuttgart suburb of Killesberg. Based on its muddy front lip and bug-spattered paint job, the coupe has been naked out on the street and traveling quickly. Out of its camouflage it looks just like we've been led to expect based on the patent photos and the recent winter spy shots, but this time we get an up-close view of the vents over the front wheels. We have one word to say about them: filthy. And if you're wondering about those turbo-like vents on the rear haunches, no, this isn't a GT2 – Porsche has said there won't be a GT2, the current race-certified GT3 RSR has those vents (occasionally found on the previous version as well), and the GT3 RS has already been leaked in scale-model form. This is it. Based on comments left on Porsche forums, production will be limited by the number of orders – the new engine won't meet European regulations coming into force, so it won't be manufactured after this year. Deliveries are said to start at the beginning of summer; those who bought the 918 Spyder will get first dibs, and you can be certain there won't be enough of these to go around. Speaking of that engine, it's said to be good for somewhere between 510 to 525 horsepower, a PDK transmission getting power to staggered wheels, 20-inchers in front, 21-inchers in the back. Johan9ff has slowly been posting Instagram photos of the beast, we're hoping he got at least one of the interior. Those seats looks mega. Bring on Geneva. Road & Track names its 2013 Performance Car of the Year

Thu, 14 Nov 2013

Road & Track recently staged its first annual Performance Car of the Year test, pitting 13 new and updated performance cars against each other on track, then graduating the top six to a road test before picking a winner. Additionally, the magazine staff picked the best automobiles of the year in eight categories.
But first, let's cover the PCotY segment. Here's the list of cars brought to the comparison test: Audi R8 V10 Plus; BMW 435i; BMW M6 Competition Package; Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51; Ferrari F12 Berlinetta; Ford Fiesta ST; Jaguar F-Type V8 S; Jaguar XFR-S; Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model Wagon; Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series; Mini John Cooper Works GP; Nissan GT-R Track Edition; and Porsche Cayman S.
To find out the results of the comparison, head over to Road & Track's website or check the press release below, where you'll also find the magazine's top-rated vehicles in eight categories. Want more? Head over to the 2013 PCotY hub. But before you do that, take a stab at guessing the winner of PCotY (we'll give you one hint: it isn't a Porsche).

Porsche 911 GT3 wows the crowds in Geneva

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Porsche has a long and storied history of taking its range-topping 911 sportscar racing, with an enviable record of achievements in tow. The latest machine with which the automaker will take to the track can be seen above: the fifth-generation 2014 911 GT3.
With 475 horsepower strumming through the 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, this is the pinnacle of naturally aspirated performance from Porsche. It can go from 0 to 60 in just 3.3 seconds, hit a top speed of 195 miles per hour and has lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in less than seven and a half minutes.
A dual-clutch PDK transmission (no standard manual gearbox will be offered) with shorter gearing than lesser 911 models sends power to the rear wheels. Providing forward motion isn't the only thing those rear wheels will be doing - Porsche says the 2014 911 GT3 is fitted with the manufacturer's first active rear-wheel steering.
