1971 Porsche 911T. 68K miles. Originally from Georgia. No rust on body or floor pan.IROC/RSR fiberglass bumpers. Newer silver paint. Color is very deep and glossy. Sort of a pearlescent shade. Only paint imperfection is 2 small areas above back bumper on each side that has a rough texture. Nothing major and you have to look for it to notice it. All steel 930 flares and front end. Original 2.2 flat 6 rebuilt. Webers with K&N's. Runs good. 5 speed 901 transaxle.New fuel pump. 4 brand new wheels.Brand new Sumitomo tires:275-40-17 in back and 255-45-17 up front.Brand new gas struts in back. Car has factory AC and I will include the condenser which is off the engine lid. Here is what it needs and the price is low to reflect it: Car needs a left rear seatback(has 2 right side ones installed) and needs side interior panels installed permanently( I have them). Needs top door trim & window switches. It needs a top. You can buy a new fiberglass one or one that needs resealed for about $300 on Ebay.I would recommend towing it for real long distance buyers because of the lack of roof only.I drive it 40 miles round trip to work twice a month. Has aftermarket belts in it that dont have much adjustment. Some of the gauges are still unhooked after engine rebuild. Has 70 lbs oil pressure at idle on mechanical gauge. Dash top, seats & steering wheel in good shape.Clean and clear title in my name. A 1971 911 can run as much as $50k right now and this one just needs minor interior sprucing. Low miles and draws a crowd eveywhere I go in it. I have taken it to car shows a few times and I always get swamped with compliments. Very sweet cruiser with that sound that only comes from an aircooled 911. Only selling to purchase another 911.Buy one now while you can! I will help with shipping either in US or abroad but its buyer's responsibility to pay for it and arrange. I can hold car in climate controlled garage until buyer picks it up.Car wont leave until funds are verified. I will accept a certified check from buyer's bank or wire transfer. Please ask any questions through Ebay or jandktanderson@gmail.com

Lamborghini could be sold or spun off from the Volkswagen Group
Sat, Oct 12 2019Volkswagen is reportedly considering a sale or stock listing for its high-end Lamborghini brand. The German automaker is looking to fold the Italian supercar brand into a separate legal entity, reports Bloomberg, which cites "people familiar with the matter" who don't want to be identified "because the deliberations are confidential and no decisions have been made." Any of this sound familiar? The goal of spinning off Lamborghini would be to stockpile more cash and other resources for VW's massive planned push into electric vehicles. Back in March, reports circulated that Volkswagen's "Vision 2030" corporate plan might include plans to focus on the brand's core brands — VW, Audi and Porsche. That means the futures of fringe players like Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti, motorcycle brand Ducati and design firm Italdesign (and note this isn't a comprehensive list of brand's under the expansive VW Group umbrella) are up in the air. VW, according to the report, is targeting a market value of $220 billion, which is a big jump from the brand's current $89 billion valuation. Bloomberg pegged Lamborghini's valuation at around $11 billion back in August, buoyed by sales and profits generated by the introduction of the Urus sport utility vehicle. On the flip side, Lamborghini is currently grappling with how best to update its supercar lineup in the face of ever-increasing emissions regulations.
2013 Porsche 911 RSR makes official debut
Mon, 01 Apr 2013Porsche is ready to go racing in 2013, showing off a new 911 RSR today that is scheduled to compete in several endurance events this year. Based on the current 991 911, the new RSR will compete in the 2013 season of the World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It will not, however, make an appearance in a North American racing series this year.
The 2013 version of the racecar has increased in wheelbase by some four inches, features a new wishbone front suspension in place of the last-generation's McPherson strut setup and boasts a new, lightweight six-speed racing gearbox. The engine, meanwhile, is an "optimized" version of last year's car, a 460-horsepower 4.0-liter boxer six-cylinder. Extensive use of carbon fiber and polycarbonate windows help the RSR shed weight, and Porsche has also balanced the weight more evenly with a lower center of gravity.
Porsche has thoughtfully dedicated some space to celebrate the 911's 50th Anniversary, with the number 50 clearly visible in the top-down view of the RSR, as well as along the doors. Scroll down to read the full Porsche press release, below.
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class leads this month's list of discounts
Mon, Jul 19 2021Like last month, the biggest discounts car buyers will find on new vehicles are all applied to expensive luxury sedans. Unlike last month when there were two, there isn't a single Rolls-Royce to be found anywhere in the top five. Sorry, one-percenters. But just because the pinnacle of European luxury isn't represented doesn't mean there aren't big discounts to be found on lovely luxury sedans. In fact, this month's list is led by the 2020 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, a technological wonder that coddles its driver and passengers with all the bells and whistles the German brand has to offer. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is offered in many shapes and sizes with several powertrain options. That means there will be a huge variance in prices across the model range, but on average, 2020 S-Class buyers are seeing $11,803 lopped off the car's $109,447 sticker price, leaving an average transaction price of $97,644. That's a savings of nearly 11%. It's worth noting that there's a new S-Class for 2021, but the 2020 edition is still a lovely machine. Up next is the Porsche Taycan, sitting in second place just like it did last month. Buyers are seeing average sticker prices of $125,736 but are paying $113,938. That's a savings of $11,798 — or about 9.4% — off the price on the window sticker. As was the case last month, we're not sure how many of the Taycan's buyers will be able to claim tax rebates due to the Taycan's status as an electric vehicle, but that could potentially represent a further cut off the car's sticker. Rounding out the top three for the month of July is the Maserati Ghibli. With an average discount of $10,161 that represents a whopping 14.3% of the car's sticker price, this Italian luxury sedan actually leads the list of vehicle discounts when ranked by percentage. And if you're a Maserati fan but the Ghibli isn't your cup of espresso, the Levante crossover and larger Quattroporte sedan are also seeing very large discounts.
