Porsche 911T Coupe, red with black, originally silver. 107,000 miles. The body
is straight but it has a lot of rust. The floors are original but there are
rust holes on the structure in spots such as the longitudinals, trunk floor and
jacking points as you can see in the pictures. The original
interior is all there but off course is showing its age and has cracks in the
typical places. The engine
does not turn over due to the fact the car was sitting for a long time. Rolls
and steers fine for transportation purposes. It is all
there, nothing seems to be missing. Needs a total restoration. Any
questions welcome. Please visit

to make arrangements for worldwide shipping.) |

The mid-engine Porsche backstory
Thu, 09 Oct 2014As an automaker's identity evolves over years, its signature becomes defined by any number of factors - heritage (Mercedes-Benz), image (Lamborghini), or market share (Toyota). In the case of Porsche, it was an engineering quirk that forged the German company's most enduring character trait.
Porsche would not have survived - let alone, thrived - in today's saturated landscape had it not been for the 911, and that slope-tailed sports car wouldn't have sprung to life without its predecessor, the 356. While phenomenal success of those rear-engine icons built the company, forays into the mid-engine configuration have played a significant part in establishing the brand's identity.

40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax
Thu, 24 Jul 2014
The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
