1968 Porsche 911 Base 2.4 on 2040-cars
Port Washington, New York, United States
For sale porsche 1968 911 T. Here is the story: purchased in 1989 by the racecar driver who did everything on the engine on this car till 2003 then he get old decided not to drive much and I bought it in 2012, I enjoyed the car for a year, now I am putting it for sale. From 1989 to 2003 I have all records of whatever he had done to the car. He wrote down every date what he did, replacing parts. Basically he complete rebuild the engine, full rebuilt on carburetors. He also wrote down the cost of every part he had bought. He did the work himself. From August/89 to March/2003, he spent $14720.69. Engine runs but I started the car two months ago and once car warmed up, I saw engine oil coming out from near oil cooler. I parked car in garage. Rear passenger side floor board needs to be replace. Interior looks very good, seats are in very good condition. I bought brand new German carpet for $1085. I did not install it because rear floor board needs to be replaced as you can see in pictures. I have original ruber mats for this car that you can see in pictures. Car has leather steering wheel. No original radio. Front suspension pan is good, no rust. Rocker panels are good, you can see the jack holes in picture. Targa top is good. I have clean title in hand. Previous owner installed rear flares SC. This car is not a matching number car but this is one of the most fun car to driver. Included are aftermarket side mirrors. Please I'm requesting if you have no funds available please do not bit. Again very little work bring this car to very good condition this time I auction only for five days so please make sure you have money available this is the final time I will not listed again thank you for looking at my auction

Another cool projection vid, this time with a Porsche 911
Fri, 28 Dec 2012Porsche has become the latest automaker to take advantage of clever projection technology. The automaker worked up a quick presentation for the 2013 911 Carrera 4S to show off a bit of "motionless driving." The display tracks the sports car from production to back-road caning and city-center cruising, displaying a variety of exterior color choices and wheel options without resorting to a two-dimensional video.
This isn't the first time we've seen an automaker use its new product as a projection screen. Subaru, Hyundai, Lamborghini and others have all done the same, and the trick never fails to be visually interesting.
As you may recall, we got to play with the 2013 911 Carrera 4S back in November and found the machine to be a better daily driver than its rear-wheel drive counterpart. You can check out the projection video below.
Porsche's high-tech 'mirror' turns every car into a Macan
Wed, Dec 17 2014Porsche calls it the "Magic Mirror," but it's less a reflective device and more 12 high-def screens that track drivers pulling into the valet area at a mall in Los Angeles. As they pass the screens in their cars, they get to see what they'd look like pulling up in a Macan, Porsche's newest and smallest crossover. It could be considered the experiential evolution of a prior campaign that let people imagine how a Porsche would look in their driveways, an idea that was taken even further by a dealer in Toronto a few years later. Check out the video to see how it was done and how it was received.
2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet spotted testing in the nude
Tue, 16 Jul 2013The Porsche 911 wouldn't be the Porsche 911 unless there were twenty-something different models to choose from (note: we are not complaining), and the latest one was just spied by our trusty photographers out on Germany's Nürburgring. Feast your eyes on the 911 Turbo Cabriolet - the droptop version of the new Turbo wonder that debuted in May - looking all sorts of stealth in its black-on-black-on-black prototype scheme.
Mechanically, the 911 Turbo Cab should be identical to the fixed-roof version, meaning a twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six engine will live in the car's rump, putting out something like 520 horsepower. Of course, there's also the hotter Turbo S version of the coupe, and we expect that to get the droptop treatment, as well, with 560 horsepower on tap. The added weight of the folding top and additional structural supports will likely make for slightly slower 0-60 times for both cars, though considering the base Turbo will hit 60 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds, "slower" is a very relative term indeed. All that force will run to the ground via all-wheel drive, managed by Porsche's seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission.
The wide stance of the 911 Turbo Coupe carries over to the Cabriolet, no doubt fitted with the same (standard) 20-inch wheels. Inside, the usual luxury amenities will be on hand, along with nearly endless customization options.
