I am a licensed auto dealer in Idaho and am listing this beautiful 2003 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet for a friend. She is the second owner of this car and it is truly gorgeous. This transaction will be facilitated by me for her. Please direct any and all questions through Ebay and provide your contact information. This vehicle is not in our dealer inventory and is secured in seller's garage.
This car was purchased by the seller in January of 2006 as a Certified Pre-Owned Porsche through a very reputable Porsche dealer. The car only had 5,792 miles on it and very few miles since. Here are a few specs for the car:
3.6 Liter Engine with 320hp, RWD, Manual Transmission, Carrara White Color, Black Leather Interior, 18" Carrera Wheels, Leather Shift Knob & Brake Handle, Stainless Steel/Chrome Package, Bose High End Sound Package, Driver Lumbar Support, Heated Seats, Passenger Lumbar Support, Porsche Crest in the Headrest, Power Seats, Remote 6 Disc Changer and more!
This car is in near mint condition with just the following notes: There is a slight, I mean slight ding in the driver's rear quarter panel about an inch long near the wheel lip. This will not photograph and is undetectable unless you catch the light and angle of view just right. There is no paint damage, just a slight crease or line that would be easy to fix via paintless dent repair. The majority of people wouldn't even see it but I believe in describing vehicles as accurately as possible to promote a happy experience on Ebay.
On the passenger side rear bumper area not really in view there is a small red mark in the paint as seen in the photograph. This should actually be easily removed with a solvent as it appears to be a small paint transfer. On the rear bumper next to the license plate there is a small indent from another car that bumped into the bumper and left a small mark as seen in the photo.
One wheel shows minor curb rash and other wheels are in great condition with hardly any wear. The tires are all original and in good condition for the age and mileage. The rest of the vehicle is in near mint condition with average wear and tear for a 12k mile well-loved Carrera that has been garage kept and only driven in the nicest of weather. The Boise area is a dry climate so there are no signs of any rust. One picky note on the passenger window is when you open the door the glass barely drags on the edge of the top so the window or top needs to be adjusted ever so slightly.
I have tried to accurately describe this vehicle as best as possible and have high resolution photos available. Please email me through Ebay and I will gladly send you specific photos of any areas in question. I am only assisting in the sale to help a friend so there will be no dealer fees. Idaho residents will have to pay sales tax at the time of delivery and out of state buyers will have to pay any and all taxes at their local DMV. The title is clean and clear in our possession and will be transferred to the new owner only when vehicle has been paid in full by wire transfer, cashier's check or cash in person.
Within 24 hours of winning the auction, the buyer will send a $1,000.00 non-refundable deposit via PayPal. This amount will be credited towards the total cost of the vehicle but will be forfeited if the buyer is unable to complete the transaction for any reason.
I have 100% positive feedback as a seller of high quality, rare vehicles and am known for honest and fair dealings here on Ebay. We ask that the buyer be honest and reliable in return.
Thank you for your interest. Please, serious bidders only!!!

Can a Corvette really be compared to a 911 with options costing more than the Chevy?
Wed, 29 Jan 2014In this latest video from Drive, Chris Harris asks straight away, "Can you still compare a base Corvette to a Porsche Carerra?" That's an particularly interesting question in this film, as the 911 in question is a 400-horsepower Carrera S model that's been fitted with $60,000 in options. Base price of a Corvette Stingray? $51,995. Harris' tester features an automatic and some other goodies that push it right up to that $60,000 range. So yes, the options on the Porsche cost as much as this entire 460-hp Chevrolet.
Harris stresses that this isn't a full review, but he does exercise both cars in a more composed manner before reverting to his traditionally exuberant driving style. The impressions are, as always, spot on, with Harris favoring the pointy nature and V8 power of the Stingray, while enjoying the gearbox (Porsche's exceptional PDK transmission) and just about everything else on the 911.
Take a look below for the latest video from Drive, and let us know if you agree with Mr. Harris' views on these two sports cars.
Porsche calls in The Committee for Boxster and Cayman GTS
Thu, 20 Mar 2014Porsche is set to offer up the very first GTS variants of its more affordable Boxster convertibles and Cayman coupes. This is very good news for enthusiasts. Aside from our original post announcing the hotted up models, though, Porsche hasn't given us much to go on.
And you know what? This video isn't much of help either. It's called The Committee, and we're guessing it's meant to highlight the lengths that Porsche went to in designing what are essentially sportier trim levels for its two most affordable entries. Still, it's a stylized and entertaining video with a few entertaining driving scenes scattered throughout, and it gives just a small glimpse of Porsche's view of the vaunted GTS badge.

700 horsepower Porsche GT2 RS is the wildest 911 ever
Fri, Jun 30 2017The Porsche 911 comes in a variety of flavors, each filling a certain taste for a certain customer. Sitting atop the range is the new 911 GT2 RS. In previous generations, the GT2 had a bit of a reputation as a widowmaker, a 911 with massive power that could snap and bite with the slightest agitation. Porsche says the new model has been civilized, but with 700 horsepower going to the rear wheels, we're sure it's going to be as mad as ever. Power comes from a highly massaged version of the 3.8-liter flat-six from the 911 Turbo S. The rear-mounted engine makes an outrageous 700 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. Like we previously reported, the new car will use water injection to help keep things cool. The only transmission is Porsche's PDK. While enthusiasts may lament the loss of the manual, the RS models have always been about performance above all else. Simply put, the PDK is the better performance option. All that power translates to a 0-60 mph time of 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph. The engine makes 80 more horsepower than the previous model. That makes it the most powerful road-going 911 ever built. In fact, the 887 horsepower 918 Spyder is the only road-going Porsche that makes more power. The fact that Porsche trusts all of that power to go to the rear is both thrilling and terrifying at the same time. In order to manage traction, the GT2 RS gets a number of upgrades. Rear-wheel steering has become commonplace in the 911 lineup, so it's no surprise to see it here. Sticky tires with 265/35 ZR 20 section rubber at the front and 325/30 ZR 21 section rubber at the rear keep things planted. That comically large rear wing adds downforce, adding to stability. The car gets standard carbon ceramic brakes. While some people prefer traditional rotors for the street, like the PDK, this is all about performance. A number of intakes and outlets complement the rear wing and maximize aerodynamic efficiency. It's a bit of a surprise that with all the focus on downforce, the GT2 RS still manages to top out at 211 mph. The hood, front wings, wheel housing vents, door mirrors, side air intakes, parts of the rear end, and a number of interior components are all made from carbon fiber. The roof has been made of magnesium. If you want to drop any pretense of civility and comfort in the pursuit of speed, Porsche is offering a Weissach package that shaves off another 40 pounds from the already impressive wet weight of 3,241.
