Hello All,  Here is a fantastic 1965 Porsche 356C up for auction. This stunning car has been restored top to bottom and shows very well, with no stones left unturned. The previous owner restored the car starting in 2003 and finished around 2007, and with my purchase of the car i was given a stack of receipts totaling around 50,000, but that is not nearly all of them, just what was found. It was estimated that around 80k was spent on the car and it shows.     Akers in seattle rebuilt the engine and tranny, and they both perform as they should. A couple pumps of the gas peddle and she fires right up. Engine sounds great and pulls hard. Receipts were lost for engine and tranny but akers in Seattle is who rebuilt them. Tranny shifts fantastic and the clutch has a nice feel to it. I do not have a heritage certificate with the car, but it is believed to be all matching numbers as it came from the factory. Body was built in 64 and so was the engine as per serial numbers, and previous owner stated that they are original to the car.     Interior is in beautiful condition with only minimal wear. All gauges and lights work as they should. Original radio was changed to a newer (old look) radio and it works great, plays cd, am/fm, tape etc. Original radio and speakers are included. There is a small blemish on the driver seat, i believe on the piping from getting in and out, very small and not extremely noticeable.     The body on the car is extremely straight and all the gaps are amazing. Paint shines beautifully. Doors shut nicely, as do the hood and trunk lids. No rust whatsoever. When driving the car, she is super smooth and tight. No rattles or strange noises and soaks up bumps nicely. She pulls with plenty of power and inspires you to go just a bit faster.     All in all, the car is in beautiful shape and is an award winner. But she is a used car and is not in concours shape. As far as imperfections go, there is some minor pitting on the wheels, and on the chrome door frames. Nothing major but could be redone to bring it closer to a 100 point car, the drivers seat has a small wear mark on a part of pipping. The muffler is not correct, (Akers can supply a correct muffler for 450.00). And she has general wear from being driven. This an exceptionally nice car needing nothing to be driven and shown. Please look at the pictures as there is a ton of them and they paint a pretty good picture. Please ask any and all questions as im sure i forgot stuff. Feel free to call me if you are serious about the car at 425-802-8682. Thanks for looking serial #220075 engine#715470 photo 3561_zpsc9573316.jpg photo 3562_zps85a37d49.jpg photo 3563_zps5d5acabe.jpg photo 3564_zps29933670.jpg photo 3565_zpsce7f7af8.jpg photo 3566_zps183ae39e.jpg photo 3567_zps7bf1a0fa.jpg photo 3568_zpsce20c755.jpg photo 3569_zpsbefc053f.jpg photo 35610_zpsb1d100cd.jpg photo 35611_zps978bc124.jpg photo 35612_zps3a42fb30.jpg photo 35613_zps0b7d2046.jpg photo 35614_zps42d3f35c.jpg photo 35615_zps1aa95f66.jpg photo 35616_zps42e8ba61.jpg photo 35617_zps847ae75c.jpg photo 35618_zps6ca54fd7.jpg photo 35619_zps4ae7d556.jpg photo 35620_zps996ff903.jpg photo 35621_zps347552d2.jpg photo 35622_zpsa80ae8e3.jpg photo 35623_zps16105f2b.jpg photo 35624_zps20288f12.jpg photo 35625_zpse7763590.jpg photo 35626_zps0f757205.jpg photo 35627_zps929df545.jpg photo 35628_zpsb3eed71f.jpg photo 35629_zpsbfda6640.jpg photo 35630_zpsf1e23a68.jpg photo 35631_zps582e0a73.jpg photo 35632_zps32588a07.jpg photo 35633_zpsbe769f25.jpg photo 35634_zps243191d5.jpg photo 35635_zps03763b53.jpg photo 35636_zps87755b74.jpg photo 35637_zps7ad69985.jpg photo 35638_zps7720cdec.jpg photo 35639_zpsc822cd60.jpg photo 35640_zps3cb79cc0.jpg photo 35641_zps2c0ba5f4.jpg photo 35642_zpsf7725c06.jpg photo 35643_zps3fee969b.jpg photo 35644_zps6a01e7aa.jpg photo 35645_zpsc39b4f53.jpg photo 35646_zpsebc47558.jpg photo 35647_zpsdfae7d36.jpg photo 35648_zps24036695.jpg photo 35649_zpsc7b04758.jpg photo 35650_zps75f95686.jpg photo 35651_zps75b52cd9.jpg photo 35652_zps34dd0e0f.jpg photo 35653_zps7a6c5c85.jpg photo 35654_zps25f547a9.jpg photo 35655_zps89829583.jpg photo 35656_zpsfad3b993.jpg photo 35657_zps9e012525.jpg photo 35658_zps07bea841.jpg photo 35659_zps5f20acd4.jpg photo 35660_zps78adc692.jpg photo 35661_zpse3c7efe2.jpg photo 35662_zps8d0a490b.jpg photo 35663_zpsdd2e2bd7.jpg photo 35664_zpsd57634d9.jpg photo 35665_zpsc31657c3.jpg photo 35666_zpsf8053b5a.jpg photo 35667_zps55483c66.jpg photo 35668_zpsb6faa3dd.jpg photo 35669_zpsac47d3cc.jpg photo 35670_zps5150a9d8.jpg photo 35671_zpsa4fb8609.jpg photo 35672_zpsb43f3e0d.jpg photo 35673_zpsfb425b8c.jpg photo 35674_zps13cde99a.jpg photo 35675_zps4e6027b7.jpg photo 35676_zps070d3365.jpg photo 35677_zps9fb2bdb4.jpg photo 35679_zps7952effb.jpg photo 35680_zpsa8b7fbea.jpg photo 35681_zps17f0db41.jpg photo 35682_zps23235737.jpg photo 35683_zpse7c15df5.jpg photo 35684_zps3c000cc6.jpg photo 35685_zpsd947139d.jpg photo 35686_zps507b2468.jpg photo 35687_zps5d688dec.jpg photo 35688_zps850be0d7.jpg photo 35689_zpsfc2f5a3a.jpg photo 35690_zps6cff1947.jpg photo 35691_zps8d5185fd.jpg photo 35692_zps4506a5e1.jpg photo 35693_zps5c615aa0.jpg photo 35694_zps79cd693d.jpg photo 35695_zpsbdf53c92.jpg photo 35696_zps6eddd4ae.jpg photo 35697_zps7664bf2f.jpg photo 35698_zps7338a6f8.jpg photo 35699_zps3eecd8c1.jpg photo 356100_zpsa7383704.jpg photo 356101_zps61f7641b.jpg photo 356102_zps225cf717.jpg photo 356103_zps50544932.jpg photo 356104_zps99b37a53.jpg photo 356105_zps1e7c3141.jpg photo IMG_1413_zpsba386d4f.jpg photo IMG_1427_zps45ec0b92.jpg

Porsche would have entered F1 if Audi had blocked its Le Mans program

Thu, 13 Mar 2014

Go back a few years and you may have heard rumors of Porsche heading into Formula One. That never came to pass - or at least, it hasn't yet - but that doesn't mean that it wasn't close to happening. That's how committed to returning to top-level motorsport competition Porsche has become recently.
Autosport reports that just as Porsche was merging fully into the Volkswagen Group, Zuffenhausen was weighing its options for a factory racing program. Le Mans was its favorite, which makes sense, as it remains far and away the most successful constructor in the history of the famous endurance race. But the strategists at Porsche were worried that its new corporate overlords at Volkswagen wouldn't support two LMP1 programs and would favor Audi, which has positively dominated the modern era of endurance racing, coming second only to Porsche in the number of Le Mans victories it has scored to date.
Porsche's Plan B was reportedly to head into Formula One, although it isn't clear if the German automaker was intent on starting its own team, buying an existing one or merely providing engines to other teams. Porsche fielded its own cars in F1 in the late 1950s and early 60s, and returned as an engine supplier with TAG to power McLaren in the 1980s, powering Niki Lauda and Alain Prost to the World Championship in 1984 and 1985.

Porsche CEO hints at Macan GTS, expects brand sales growth to 200K+

Tue, 11 Feb 2014

Porsche is expecting big things from its little Macan, with CEO Matthias Mueller announcing that not only is a sportier GTS model being considered, but that the CUV will almost certainly help push Porsche beyond its 200,000-unit-per-year sales goal three years earlier than expected.
"We're transferring the genes of the Porsche brand into a new market segment," Mueller said during a speech to kick off Macan production, according to Automotive News Europe. Macan demand should push the brand past 200,000 sales, Mueller said, confirming what we reported back in August. And if Porsche really has a hit on its hands, it is able to boost production of the sporty crossover beyond its initial capacity of 50,000 units, according to the brand's CEO.
Provided that the Macan is the success Porsche hopes it will be, Mueller hinted that the range could expand beyond the initial Macan S and Macan Turbo. "GTS versions have a tradition at Porsche," Mueller said. "We haven't made a final decision yet regarding the Macan, but I'm sure it makes a lot of sense."
