This 1959 Porsche 356A/1600 Reutter Cabriolet has undergone a just completed concours level restoration with the help of the nation’s top Porsche experts and restorers, resulting in one of the most unique and desirable Porsche 356 Cabriolets in existence. Prior to its uncompromising restoration, this 1959 Porsche 356A/1600 Reutter Cabriolet had been in the care of the same family since 1974. They were excellent stewards of such a wholly unique piece of Porsche motoring history, and can be credited with caring for its absolutely solid and uncorrupted platform; without which this incredible restoration would have not had such original and immaculate beginnings. This 1959 Porsche 356A/1600 Reutter Cabriolet is finished in an incredibly rare and desirable combination of colors and interior materials, making it possibly the only one of its kind. The numbers matching engine, transmission, wheels, colors, and interior materials are all factory correct and beyond reproach. To obtain the precisely correct hues, the factory Ivory and Ruby Red colors were mixed with help from John Wilhoit of Wilhoit Restorations; the same experts who worked their paint magic on Jerry Seinfeld’s Porsche 908. Tax, Title and License: Missouri residents are responsible for applicable sales tax in your county as well as title and licensing fees. If you live outside of Missouri, you are responsible for applicable tax, title and licensing fees in your area.

Bentley and Porsche are two of the jewels in Volkswagen Group's luxury brand crown, but in Florida they also have a very tenuous connection with crime. With his multiple face and neck tattoos, including a Bentley logo right between his eyes, Derek Denesevich (pictured above) has been charged with the surprising crime of alleged identity theft. He recently surrendered to a Florida court, and could face seven years in prison, if convicted. You might wonder where Porsche fits into this. According to the Sun Sentinel, Denesevich's accomplice was one Porscha Kyles, who worked for the Broward Clerk of Courts. She allegedly used her access to driver's license records to steal information and sell it to Denesevich. He is then accused of filing fraudulent income taxes to recoup the refund checks. According to the Sentinel, Kyles has already pleaded guilty to conspiracy and identity theft and was sentenced to three years and one day in prison. FRANKFURT, Germany — German automaker Volkswagen said its global sales fell 15.2% during 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but showed significant recovery toward the end of the year. The company more than tripled its sales of battery-only vehicles. Global sales for all of Volkswagen's brands amounted to 9.3 million vehicles. The fourth quarter showed a smaller decline of 5.7% and within that quarter the month of December was still further improved, showing a shortfall of only 3.2% from the same period the year before. Volkswagen said Wednesday that sales fell the most in Western Europe, by 21.6%, while China, the company's largest single market, was down 9.1% Sales of battery-only cars jumped 214% to 231,600 from 73,700 across all the company's brands. The company's electric sales leaders included the Volkswagen ID.3 compact, with 56,500, the Audi E-Tron SUV with 47,300, and the high-end Porsche Taycan with 20,000. Volkswagen said that its sales fell by less than the overall market, meaning it had slightly expanded its market share. “The COVID-19 pandemic made 2020 an extremely challenging year,” said group sales chief Christian Dahlheim. “The Volkswagen Group performed well in this environment and strengthened its market position." Volkswagen Group's brands include Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, SEAT, and Skoda as sell as truck makers MAN and Scania.
Each year, the Vienna International Motor Symposium showcases some of the up-and-coming technologies automakers are engineering for the use in passenger cars, and Volkswagen AG CEO Martin Winterkorn revealed some big developments VW is working on for its future products. Winterkorn discussed a multi-faceted approach that VW is looking to reduce its fleet fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. Some of the bigger news he discussed included a "high-performance" diesel engine that will produce 134 horsepower per liter and a 10-speed DSG automatic transmission. While no specific applications were mentioned, we can only hope this is for the Audi R4 we keep hearing about. Another topic he touched on that caused us to perk up our ears was had to do with VW's plug-in hybrid technology. While we know the PHEV versions of the Audi A3 and Porsche Panamera are on the way, Winterkorn also said that these two models will be followed up by Golf, Passat, Audi A6 and Porsche Cayenne plug-in models.
