This turn-key 356 Vintage Speedster Replica re-creations is among the finest available, built in 2008 and finished to mimic and original 356 -- minus the six-figure price tag. This example is finished in Aquamarine Blue over a Tan colored interior. This 356's Tan interior features matching 356 Speedster floor mats, a wood Nardi Steering Wheel, VDO Instrumentation, hand brake and lap belts. Outside, it features Porsche crested "Super" hub caps, authentic badging, head lamp grilles and front and rear bumper guards. All of our Speedster re-creations feature a reinforced fiberglass body, safety glass windows, soft top, full lighting and a VW chassis. The Front Hood belts, Tan Colored as well, have also been added. Powering this 356 is the larger of two available engines, a dual-carbureted 1915cc air-cooled H4 engine. Porsche goes karting in its Cayman GTS
Sun, 03 Aug 2014Think Mini is the king of Go-Kart Handling[TM]? Well, you might be mistaken, as Porsche proves here it's fully capable of delivering a driving experience that'd fit in quite nicely on a go-kart track.
Using a new and very red Cayman GTS, the Stuttgart-based manufacturer invades a kart track in northern Italy and sets the mid-engined sports car loose to slip, slide and zip its way around the circuit. As far as videos for Sunday evening go, this one ticks all the boxes.

Ward's Automotive Ten Best Engines of 2014 dominated by diesels, turbos
Thu, 12 Dec 2013With the Car and Driver Ten Best decided, the North American Car and Truck of the Year finalists announced and Cadillac, Ram and Subaru chalking up wins with Motor Trend, it's fair to say that the automotive awards season is in full swing. The next set of trophies to be handed out will be from Ward's Automotive, which has announced the winners of its 2014 10 Best Engines.
The latest contest was marked by the widespread emergence of diesel power and the continued success of turbocharged engines. There was even an electric motor on this year's list. In fact, only three of the ten winners were naturally aspirated and only two winners returned from last year.
"We weren't looking to throw the bums out, as they might say about an election. We were just really impressed with the flood of new powertrains," said Ward's Automotive Editor-in-Chief Drew Winter. Those new powertrains include the 83-kilowatt electric motor from the Fiat 500e, the 1.0-liter, EcoBoost three-cylinder from the Ford Fiesta and the 2.0-liter turbodiesel from the Chevrolet Cruze.
