Hi we are selling our 2004 Pontiac Sunfire SE, it is a 4 cylinder, pretty zippy but an excellent gas saver, this was the top of the line model back in 2004, this car has 120K miles on it but runs as if it had only 20K, you will not find anything wrong with it mechanically, and it has a smooth transmission as well, it was very well taken care of by us and the previous owner, this car was the previous owner's baby, the car drives fantastic and does not need anything at all, it has not been in any accidents but the body has a few dents in it due to someone kicking the side of the car in a parking lot, and the 2 plastic door covers are off the car, both have 2 broken clips which I'm told can be fixed very easily, I have saved all the clips and stuff, please make sure you look at all the pictures below to see the dents on the drivers side, if you can fix the dents or they dont bother you, you will have an excellent car which has no mechanical issues, we drove it with the dents for the last 2 years and it has not bothered us.

We are in Irvine CA and you must come see the car before bidding, NO SHIPPING, we dont drive the car very much anymore as we bought another, I recently put 4 brand new tires, new front brake pads, new rotors, and flushed the brake fluid with synthetic fluid, also did the 4 wheel alignment so the car drives perfectly straight.

And its had its oil change, and we just did a complete inspection and the car does not need anything at all, the air filter was not too bad, but I have bought a new one which will be put on it today, you really wont have any problems with this car for a long time, just do the scheduled oil change and stuff, we've had this car for 3 years and other than scheduled maintenance the only thing we had to do was to replace the drivers side power window motor because it was stopping and not going up and down as fast as it should.

Also I put on a $40 set of Neofoam windshield wipers on this car a few months ago, they curve to the windshield and work excellent and are designed to last a few years in the sun.

This car is an SE model and has the nice GM alloy wheels, here are its other features;

Automatic 4-Cyl, 2.2 Liter

Air Conditioning, (Works great)

Power Windows, (we Recently put on a new drivers side power window motor)

Power Door Locks

Cruise Control

Power Steering

Tilt Wheel

AM/FM Stereo

CD (Single Disc)

We have the clear title in hand and also have listed the car locally so I reserve the right to remove this listing if it sells, so come see it soon, it is a very reliable car which feels very nice to drive and saves a lot of money on gas, we have to sell it now, so please call us soon at 949-385-3008.

Porsche Syberia RS rally car is what you make when you need a Hummer that's fast

Fri, Apr 24 2020

Some history: The Porsche 911's first-ever race was the 1965 Monte Carlo rally, entered because Porsche's PR man at the time wanted to show how much the future icon could do. A year later, Porsche began selling an optional rally kit for the 911 that included Recaro seats, a roll bar, and adjustable Koni dampers. Porsche produced factory rally racers until the early 1970s, winning Monte Carlo three times in a row before letting privateers carry the torch so the factory could focus on campaigning in the East Africa Safari. After years of painful lessons, when Porsche took its brand-new 1978 911 SC to the safari, the 3.0-liter flat-six coupe was hours away from winning the race before damaging the suspension, demoting the car to second place. Porsche fans wanted their own replicas, and finding the new 911 to be an affordable option, the SC — built from 1978 to 1983 — went from denoting "Super Carrera" to "Safari Car."   Porsche took a big step up in with the 953 rally car. Built to win the 1984 Paris-Dakar, which it did, the 953 introduced the four-wheel-drive system Porsche would evolve for the 959 in 1985 and the 964-series 911 in 1989, as well as the now-unforgettable 911-based Rothmans livery. All of this is what's fueling today's 911 Safari Car revival around the world. Almost all of today's builds start with the so-called G Model 911s, produced from 1973 to 1989, usually focusing on the SC and the Carrera that ran from 1984 until 1989.  Fast forward to 2007 when a mysterious crew organized the TransSyberia Rally, a "sports-touring" event that stretched 4,500 miles from Moscow to the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar. Of the 34 vehicles that entered, 25 were Porsche's purpose-built Cayenne S Transsyberia Edition.  Put this all in a pot and you have the beginnings of the car that brings us here, the Syberia RS. It's said that a German fellow by the name of Kai Burkhard wanted to buy a Humvee, but the low top speed, around 50 miles per hour, put him off. So instead, he imported a 1986 911 "in collector condition" from Japan with the idea of rebuilding it to provide almost all the off-road fun he could have had in the H1. Burkhard tapped the Tailor Made department at German suspension designer H&R, and the two set to work creating a build like the 953 Dakar winner.  This content is hosted by a third party. The last Pontiac Fiero sold for $90,000 at auction

Thu, Dec 3 2020

On August 16, 1988 the last Pontiac Fiero, a red GT model, rolled off the assembly line at GM's Pontiac Assembly plant located in Pontiac, Michigan. It wasn't just the final Fiero, but the final car to be built at that site. The car was raffled off to one of 1,400 plant employees that would soon have to find jobs elsewhere. Whoever that employee was, they remained faithful to the Fiero and kept it in mint condition for 32 years. Last month, it was finally time to move on. It crossed the block at GAA Auctions in Greensboro, North Carolina where it sold for an astounding $90,000. According to the auction house, that's a new world record. The price no doubt reflected the car's place in history as the last example of GM's 1980s mid-engined sports car. However, it was also showroom-new, with just 582 miles clocked on its 2.8-liter V6. 1988 models were also fitted with an upgraded, Lotus-esque suspension produced for just that one year. In addition, this car, serial number 226402, came with its original build sheet, photos from the assembly line, and a collection of news articles and books. It still wore its pre-delivery plastic on the interior and was fully loaded with automatic transmission. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. The car's custodian for the past 32 years must be pleased. Bidding started at $25,000 but soon rocketed past the $65,000 reserve. You can see the action starting at the 2:50:13 mark in the video above. The Fiero was symbolic of the 1980s and stood out from the standard GM passenger car fare for its mid-engine layout and plastic body panels. In an era when GM often rebadged cars with minimal differences, the Fiero rode on its own unique chassis. It was positioned as one of the defining products for Pontiac, GM's "excitement" brand, but actual performance never quite lived up to its striking looks.  Nevertheless, it garnered a cult following. It's often the basis for (questionable) custom builds mimicking more exotic models like Ferraris and Lamborghinis, thanks to a steel space-frame design that allows body panels to be easily removed. Thankfully, this significant example escaped such a fate and will live on as a reminder of an interesting chapter of automotive history.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
