Welcome to our listing for this "Very Clean" and extremely FUN to drive 2006 Pontiac Solstice! This amazing convertible has only 38,172 miles (miles may increase slightly as I am currently driving the car) and is certainly going to be a collectible car!
This is the perfect time of year to be driving a convertible, nice sunny days in the 70's and 80's. What a great color combination with the "High Gloss" black exterior finish and the black canvas top, complimented by the dark gray leather interior. The 18" polished 5-spoke aluminum wheels really make the Solstice stand out! You will be amazed and delighted at the handling of this car! It corners quickly and smoothly. Pontiac has always been aggressive with their styling and performance and the Solstice shows that. You will get lots of looks and compliments with this car! Pontiac had their thinking caps on perfectly when they designed and built the Solstice. This Solstice features a snappy 2.4 Litre engine coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. Comfort features include Leather Interior, Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power assist Disc Brakes, Power Windows, Power Mirrors, Power Door Locks with Keyless Entry, AM-FM-CD, and 18" Polished Aluninum Alloy Wheels! This Solstice drives out perfectly and will be the most fun you can have in a car at this price point! I have driven lot's of sports cars in my 30 years of selling cars, and this one is one of the most fun I have ever had especially when you consider the low cost! The paint is in good condition with only a few scratches underneath the front bumper (might have rubbed against a curb) that can hardly be seen and some minor rock chips on the lowers which again can hardly be seen. The top is in perfect condition and the interior is excellent as well. All of the features of the Solstice are working properly and the tires are in great shape.
Here is a chance to have a fun, collectible car without spending a lot of cash! Priced LOW at only $12,995 it won't last long. This car is kept inside so call Danny at CARSTORE 308-380-1040 for an appointment to see your next ride! Carstore is located in Grand Island Nebraska. Check my feedback and you will see that my descriptions are accurate and I am fair to deal with. We will work with any shipper to get your Solstice to you quickly. Junkyard Gem: 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP
Tue, Jun 19 2018For General Motors, the W platform just kept giving and giving and giving for decade after decade, serving as the basis of Buick Regals, Oldsmobile Intrigues, Chevrolet Monte Carlos, and many, many more models. The final and most powerful Pontiac W-Body, the sixth-generation Grand Prix GTP, rolled off assembly lines for the 1997 through 2003 model years. Here's one in a Northern California self-service wrecking yard. GM bolted the supercharged 3800 V6 into vast numbers of cars during this era, providing a deep reservoir of cheap blowers for unwise high-boost projects. 240 front-tire-charring horses, complete with a Roots-type blower scream from the Eaton supercharger under the hood. I see plenty of blown 3800s during my junkyard travels, from the Bonneville SSEi to the Oldsmobile LSS. Depressingly, GM stopped putting manual transmissions in the Grand Prix during the 1993 model year, so '01 GTP owners had to take the four-speed slushbox. This one came close to the magic 200,000-mile mark, but fell 25,000 short. The interior took a beating during its life, ending its time on the road with shredded upholstery and dirty panels. Seven-band graphic equalizers were all the rage during the 1980s, but GM kept the tradition alive into our current century. This content is hosted by a third party. Enter now to win this impeccably restored 1969 Pontiac GTO
Wed, Feb 16 2022Autoblog may receive a share from purchases made via links on this page. Pricing and availability are subject to change. No donation or payment necessary to enter or win this sweepstakes. See official rules on Omaze. Normally when we post about Omaze, it is about some kind of incredible car sweepstakes. Today, well, to be honest, it is more of the same, but in the case of this tastefully done 1969 Pontiac GTO, we don’t even care if you head over to the sweepstakes page to enter, just do it for the photos. ThatÂ’s right. As a self-described automotive photography snob myself, I have to say that the photos of this GTO are far and away the best IÂ’ve ever seen on Omaze. And while youÂ’re over there, might as well enter the drawing. Who doesnÂ’t want that lean, green, muscle machine in their driveway? IÂ’m more of a fastback Mustang guy, and even I was drooling over that GTO. Win a Restored 1969 Pontiac GTO - Enter at Omaze Here are the specs of the restored 1969 Pontiac GTO in question, according to Omaze: Maximum Seating: 5 Engine: 461 ci fuel-injected V8 Transmission: Tremec TKO600 5-speed manual Drivetrain: RWD Exterior Color: Verdero Green Interior Color: Black Maximum Horsepower: 575 hp Maximum Torque: 620 lb-ft Approximate Retail Value: $100,000 Cash Alt: $75,000 Special Features: Butler Performance-built EFI 461, Fast EFI v2.1, 3.73 Gears with Eaton Posi Traction, Wilwood 6-piston brakes with hydroboost, Ridetech Coilovers and muscle bars, Chassis Works billet drop spindles, staggered 18” Budnik billet wheels, Budnik steering wheel IÂ’m not the only one on the Autoblog staff who thinks this restoration is worthy of a little praise. News Editor Joel Stocksdale picked it above all the other current Omaze offerings for our holiday staff picks post. HereÂ’s what he had to say: “There are an awful lot of ways to build a restomod. And a lot of those ways can be boring or tasteless. This one is neither. This is a seriously classy Pontiac GTO. Under the hood is a 461 cu. in. V8 from Butler Performance that's based on an actual Pontiac V8, not just another Chevy engine. The whole thing is subtle with a low-key metallic green and clean gray wheels. There isn't any overly flashy chrome or decals. And the interior is the same with just an upgraded steering wheel, shifter and pedals in an otherwise stock cabin. Oh, and it has a manual.
Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
