1967 Pontiac Lemans - No Reserve on 2040-cars
Yreka, California, United States
!!NO RESERVE!! Pontiac Lemans (1967) Here is your chance to own a real muscle car, a 1967 Pontiac Lemans that can be transformed into a GTO clone. This car has been sitting for 8 years awaiting restoration. prior to this the car was a running and driving car. Unfortunetly the owner has since passed away and I bought this car from the family. The car appears to be complete and in great condition. The family assures me this car has never been in an accident and has a straight body frame. The car has been re-painted once. The interior is still intact, no big rips or tears. The engine and transmission we believe them to be a 400 cubic inch V8 engine and 350 three speed automatic transmission. The car does come with another set of over-sized wheels and tires. There are two small spots of rust, one in the trunk and another in the rear quarter panel (see pictures) . Overall a very straight solid car to start with. Would make a great start to clone into a GTO. has correct original bucket seats. Car is currently located in storage in Northern Ca. city of Yreka. I have someone that will meet your shipper or you to load the car. 500 non refundable deposit due within 24 hrs via paypal. No exceptions. Please ask all questions before you bid and review all pictures. You are bidding to buy! not for the right to come have a look! So be SURE you are going to buy and pay as agreed before you bid. Please have all funds in place before you bid. Ask your wife or whoever else wears the pants in the family for permission before bidding. Measure your garage ect. Cashiers Check only. NO money orders. I want us both to have a smooth transaction with no BS :) Now that we have all that out of the way. Goodluck and happy bidding! |

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.
GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems
Mon, 30 Jun 2014General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile
Sun, 29 Apr 2012Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.
If you like what you see, this machine is up for bid in Richfield, Minnesota with two days left on the auctions. So far, bidding as whipped up to $60,000 with the reserve not met. Head over to eBay Motors to have a look.
