San Bernardino, California, United States

All matching numbers on vehicle with original 326 motor and tranny plus comes with original GM Production Stamp Plate glued to service manual (this is how they did it back in the day) Car has been sanded to metal, primered and ready for final block sanding and paint.  I have the right to remove listing at anytime for i also have it selling locally.  if you have any questions call me at (Nine 0 Nine) 264 4734 and i will try to answer your questions.  Review photos carefully, engine has not been cranked over since 1978 and not driven since.  Pink in Hand registration current until July 2014 California Car, (with new White License Plates, plus (1) original Black and Yellow Plate for rear if you wish to get original re-assignment plate. I have 99% of chrome plus new (5) piece GTO emblems, & NEW Front Hood for GTO.  I have most of glass packed in bubble wrap except front windshied which is cracked.  I do not offer shipping and vehicle must be picked up and towed so make proper arrangements.  I have not listed the front hood in photos because it is on order and should be here Mid week.  These vehicles are in demand and require pacience and time to restore, and can be done usually by One's Self (so forget those auto restorer places for all they want to do is steal your money!)  Once on the road the rewards are unsurpassed with pride and people will just gauk and awe at the sight of this vehicle for their are not too many of these on the road.  The 1967 pontiac's and are not cheap to buy especially with all this documentation i have in hand, especially when it comes to resale value for it all boils down to the "Paperwork and History".  Getting back to restoration:  When you do the Interior DO NOT take the whole vehicle in! What to do is: 1. Remove the seats and deliver them to the upholstery shop because they will charge labor to remove PLUS once they see the vehicle "Dollar Signs will Pop in Their Eyes"  You can buy the Complete Carpet Kit online for about $130 with shipping included all at factory specs.  2. Door Panels just need new Cardbord and can be done yourself, plus you can find the pattern imprint online at a fraction of the cost rather then having an upholstery guy making them (remember the $$$ sign look in their eyes)  Engine may start, but these are very simple engines that anyone can rebuilt all with a little basice mechanic know how.  3. Once vehicle is wet sanded and final blocked is done "take it to Macco or some chain auto paint center" that will cost you no more than $500 (unless you want some outrageously done custom color" Remember if you restore this car to Factory (white color) it was only a Basic White to Begin with.  As long as you have removed all the chrome yourself (including doorhandles) the car will look beautiful.  I had a friend of mine with a 63 impala who took it to Macco and they did a beautiful job except for (1) fender that had a run, and they ended up repainting "with no questions asked" for they stand by their warranty 100% Awesome Place!  Go ahead and save big money and do most of the work yourself at the fraction of the cost.  Anyways deposit of $500.00 must be made 24 hours after auctions ends no exceptions.  thank you, harvey.

NHTSA investigating 550k Pontiac G6 models, 320k Honda Odysseys

Mon, 10 Jun 2013

According to two separate reports in The Detroit News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching investigations into 550,000 Pontiac G6 (pictured above) and 320,000 Honda Odyssey (pictured right) models. The G6 models are all from the 2005 to 2007 model years, while the Odyssey minivans are from the 2003 and 2004 model years. The two NHTSA probes are not related.
In the case of the G6, this is an upgrade to an original investigation that started in February after NHTSA received "hundreds of reports" that the brake lights on these cars may malfunction. According to The Detroit News, the lights may come on when the brake pedal is not depressed, and likewise, the brake lights may not illuminate when the pedal has been pushed. General Motors was able to provide NHTSA with a significant number of warranty claims, including 1,100 reports that could potentially relate to this problem, one of which indicates a vehicle crash.
For Honda, the NHTSA probe concerns airbags that may deploy unexpectedly. The government agency received six complaints from 2003-04 Odyssey owners saying that the front airbags suddenly went off without a crash. The Detroit News reports that three of the six owners sustained injuries from these incidents. Additionally, NHTSA has received 41 complaints from owners saying the vehicle's airbag warning light had illuminated.

BMX rider flips for wrecked Detroit football stadium

Fri, Jun 12 2015

Detroit is littered with derelict ruins. Abandoned automotive assembly plants, sure – but also former sports venues, like Tiger Stadium in Corktown, Roesink Stadium in Hamtramck, and the Silverdome in Pontiac. BMX rider Tyler Fernengel remembers going to see the Lions and Pistons play at the Silverdome in his youth, and competed there in Supercross as a boy. The stadium hasn't been used in years, but now, with his career just picking up, Tyler has returned to film this video – riding through its halls, jumping its stairwells and flipping over its grandstands and field. It's a fitting tribute to a once-great venue of suburban Michigan. Check out the footage in this latest clip from Red Bull. Remember when Pontiac made a Trans Am Kammback grocery getter?

Thu, Nov 8 2018

Despite muscle cars having strong reputations as some of the most impractical cars one can buy, they've occasionally had one of the most useful and practical features a car can sport: a hatchback. In the 1980s, General Motors' Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird had one, and it added respectable utility to the sports cars. But the people at GM thought they could make the F-Body cars even more useful. So, after a few clay-model experiments, Pontiac built three examples of an extended-roof 1985 Pontiac Trans Am Kammback concept. Spotted by GM Authority, one of these Trans Am Kammbacks (although "shooting brake" seems like the more apt descriptor) is going on the block at the Mecum Kissimmee auction in early January 2019. Reportedly only three of these prototypes/experiments/test mules were built to driveable specs, and this example, VIN No. EX4796, has additional history that might make it the ultimate example. According to Mecum, the show car, which has made appearances at numerous auto shows, also spent some time at the race track — just not as a participant. It was used as a pace car for PPG and IMSA racing and temporarily had a light bar and "two-way communications equipment." Following its pace duty, and after GM stopped the project from going any further, it was put into Pontiac Engineering's private collection for 13 years. Famous Michigan car collector and Pontiac dealership owner John McMullen then bought the car. He eventually sent it to Pontiac specialist Scott Tiemann for a full restoration to the gorgeous condition it is in today. As seen in the photos, the Trans Am features white paint over a gray leather interior. It houses a 5.0-liter V8 under the hood and has a five-speed manual transmission. The wild concept is rare enough to be super cool, but we can't help but think of an infinitely more practical, more modern, more powerful, and arguably more interesting car we'd rather have. Manual Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon in Black Diamond anybody? Or, if you don't care about the extra doors, perhaps the Callaway's Corvette AeroWagen is more applicable. Either way, we're in full support of any shooting brakes we can find. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
