1967 Pontiac Le Mans, 70k, Muscle Car, Hot Rod, Gto Clone 1966 on 2040-cars
Pueblo, Colorado, United States
This is a 1967 Le Mans in good condition. Odometer reads just over 70K and judging by the condition of the car I believe it is correct. Car runs and drives good. Its a very cool driver and would be an excellent candidate for restoration or for a GTO clone. I have a very reasonable reserve on this car so bid to win! Drive Train It has the original 326ci engine. It has a 4bbl intake with Edelbrock carb. The original intake, air cleaner, and 2bbl come with the car. Engine runs good. It was an A/C car but the compressor is missing. All the lines are still there though, and I have a compressor bracket to go with the car. Transmission is the original 2 speed power glide that has been rebuilt. Trans shifts good, passing gear downshifts like it should. Dual exhaust is in good shape. Car does not have any major leaks of any kind and has not leaked on my drive yet. Wheels and tires are excellent. Body Body is in good shape. Had a repaint many moons ago. Paint is no good and will never come back, but car still looks cool on the road. Has a few dings but no major dents or damage. There is some body work in the rear quarters, but it is strait and the body filler is not cracking or falling out. I am not sure how much work was done there, but the rest of the car is pretty rust free so I cant imagine there was a lot of rust in the rear quarters. Trunk floor has some surface rust, but it is not scaly and should be easy to take car of. Passenger compartment floors are good. The top has some blemishes on the drivers side and will need replaced eventually. Interior Interior is in very nice original condition. Seats and door panels are original and in great shape with no holes or tears. Seats and door panels do need a good scrubbing. Carpet is not too bad, headliner is complete but sagging in the rear, dash pad is cracked. Gauges, wipers, lights work fine. Stereo is an aftermarket deck that looks original with a Rockford Fosgate 300W amp and a 6 disc changer in the trunk. Stereo sounds great. The original radio comes with the car. Call 719-557-1755 with questions. I would like a 500.00 deposit at the end of the auction and full payment within 2 days of auction close. Below is a link to more pics.

BMX rider flips for wrecked Detroit football stadium
Fri, Jun 12 2015Detroit is littered with derelict ruins. Abandoned automotive assembly plants, sure – but also former sports venues, like Tiger Stadium in Corktown, Roesink Stadium in Hamtramck, and the Silverdome in Pontiac. BMX rider Tyler Fernengel remembers going to see the Lions and Pistons play at the Silverdome in his youth, and competed there in Supercross as a boy. The stadium hasn't been used in years, but now, with his career just picking up, Tyler has returned to film this video – riding through its halls, jumping its stairwells and flipping over its grandstands and field. It's a fitting tribute to a once-great venue of suburban Michigan. Check out the footage in this latest clip from Red Bull. Junkyard Gem: 1991 Pontiac 6000 LE
Sat, Dec 2 2017Sibling to the Chevrolet Celebrity and Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, the Pontiac 6000 sold pretty well during the early-to-middle 1980s, but had been relegated to the dealership bargain bin and fleet-car cul-de-sac by the time of Operation Desert Shield. Here's a final-year-of-manufacture 6000 LE that I photographed in an Arizona self-service wrecking yard. This car was sold new in Arizona, and it will be crushed in the same state, 26 years later. The LE was the cheapest trim level for the 6000 in 1991, but the original purchaser of this car sprang for a few options. For example, instead of the utterly miserable 2.5-liter Iron Duke four-cylinder, this car packs the 3.1-liter V6. That meant 140 horsepower instead of 110, plus an engine note more like a vacuum cleaner sucking up a spaghetti spill than an ailing blender chewing on walnuts. AM, FM, and cassette. Not only that, but the auto-reverse feature meant that your mixtape cassette wouldn't stop right in the middle of your favorite Roxette tune. This content is hosted by a third party. Even the wretched Daewoo-built Pontiac LeMans gets more screen time than the forgotten 6000 in this 1991 TV ad featuring the voice of Captain Picard. Porsche Sports Car Together Fest is a labor of many Porsche loves
Sat, Sep 17 2022Over Labor Day Weekend, Porsche held its second annual Sports Car Together Fest (SCTF) at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We happened to be nearby, so we swung by to check out an event we’d never heard of until a few weeks before. Reading about it on Porsche's U.S. web site made us think it would be something like Rennsport Reunion for the Midwest. Turns out SCTF is just as much of a different kind of fun. The fest Tom MooreÂ’s the man behind Dark Horse Motorsports, the motorsport consultant for Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) PR. "People love Rennsport Reunion, but thatÂ’s every three to four years," he explained. “We wanted to gather people on those off years, and we didn't want to just do a mini Rennsport, because thatÂ’s its own thing. WeÂ’ve maintained the motorsport history at Rennsport. Here [at SCTF], we're doing the current look at what Porsche racing is for." In this case, that means gathering what Moore called "our Porsche motorsport pyramid." ThatÂ’s the range of enthusiast drivers from novice to hotshoes trying to get to top-tier endurance racing, "[starting] with the progression from Porsche Club of America track days up to the top of the ladder of one-make racing in North America," the Carrera Cup North America, a series made up of nothing but the latest 500-horsepower 911 GT3 Cup cars. The three days of racing action allowed almost any kind of Porsche owner interested in clipping apexes to compete around an Indianapolis Motor Speedway layout tweaked with an infield section. This year, that included ex-NASCAR star Jeff Gordon, coming out of retirement to reunite with his longtime NASCAR crew chief Ray Evernham for the top-class Cup races. Evernham told us Gordon hasnÂ’t raced in five years and he hasnÂ’t been a crew chief in 22. On very short practice, Gordon finished in 14th in the Pro Class in the first Carrera Cup race of the weekend driving the #24 Hendrick Performance Group Porsche, and 11th in the second race. Afterward, he said, "I made a pass on the white flag lap. That made my whole weekend Â… I must say that yesterday, I thought ‘man, I am getting beat out hereÂ’ and I donÂ’t like that. If I am going to be in an environment like this, I want to be competitive. But today turned the corner for me. So, I hope I get to do another one day." When we strolled the paddock after the event, exposed sheet metal proved "Rubbing is racing" is a thing in the Carrera Cup as well as NASCAR.
