This Grand Prix was purchased off the original owner. I had plans to do some bodywork and paint it, but some other priorities came up. Must sell...!! Looking for cash, so lets talk..!! Car is complete with original numbers matching. 400 motor, automatic. Drive it the way it is, or do some bodywork and paint it. Either way, it's a wonderful piece of Pontiac history. 75 mph down the freeway she's straight as an arrow. It's pretty reliable as I've driven the car almost daily and I'm not afraid of it at all. I put a set of 20's on BUT THEY DO NOT GO WITH THE CAR!!! THE FACTORY SET OF PONTIAC WHEELS WITH GOOD TIRES IN GREAT CONDITION COME WITH THIS CAR!!!! Does not smoke and runs, drives and stops great. Has factory air, even the factory am/fm flip over radio that still works. Also has factory trunk popper in the center console that still works. The floors and trunk pans are solid, and the trunk has a spare. Carburetor was just freshly rebuilt. The car is no Gem, but it's a 1970 and there getting harder and harder to find in this non-molested condition. The drivers side quarter needs some metal work, the whole car needs paint, but could be bad-ass. Car has 83000 miles. The interior is complete except for the drivers door panel is missing and the headliner could use some attention. The car runs and drives great and everything works as it should. The vehicle is also listed on Craigslist, Youngstown, OH, so if you're interested, even in the slightest, call..!!..cuz it will surely be gone soon..!! ...you can call or text me (Mike) @330.301.8711... Had it posted before but removed it to make another ad and set a lower reserve. Happy Bidding!!

Jay Leno tries out a 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge that looks factory fresh
Tue, Jan 31 2017The latest machine to show up on Jay Leno's Garage is arguably the most iconic Pontiac GTO, the 1970 Judge. The example here is a radically red model and features all of the nifty Judge features, such as the mega-size rear wing, hood-mounted tachometer, and ram air hood scoop. The latter of which had a panel in the hood that would open up at full throttle to let in all that cool air from outside. The car is owned by the Wade Kawasaki, president of Coker Tires, a company that specializes in reproducing classic tires. Not surprisingly, his GTO features a set of the company's Firestone Wide Oval tires. That particular tire would have come with the car originally, but these new versions are built like modern radial tires, rather than the slippery bias-ply originals. The tires are indicative of how Kawasaki restored the rest of his Judge. Everything has been taken back to factory-spec. It has a stock, 400-cubic inch V8 that makes a supposedly underrated 366 horsepower, and it's complete with the chrome valve covers and foam intake seal. The tires are accompanied by exact replica GTO Judge wheels. The car even has the true, original interior. Somehow, the upholstery, dash, and other interior components survived in excellent condition. Check out the video above for more details on this flashy muscle car, as well as some reminiscing about the "good ol' days," and some history on the origins of the car's name. Related Video:
NHTSA investigating 550k Pontiac G6 models, 320k Honda Odysseys
Mon, 10 Jun 2013According to two separate reports in The Detroit News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching investigations into 550,000 Pontiac G6 (pictured above) and 320,000 Honda Odyssey (pictured right) models. The G6 models are all from the 2005 to 2007 model years, while the Odyssey minivans are from the 2003 and 2004 model years. The two NHTSA probes are not related.
In the case of the G6, this is an upgrade to an original investigation that started in February after NHTSA received "hundreds of reports" that the brake lights on these cars may malfunction. According to The Detroit News, the lights may come on when the brake pedal is not depressed, and likewise, the brake lights may not illuminate when the pedal has been pushed. General Motors was able to provide NHTSA with a significant number of warranty claims, including 1,100 reports that could potentially relate to this problem, one of which indicates a vehicle crash.
For Honda, the NHTSA probe concerns airbags that may deploy unexpectedly. The government agency received six complaints from 2003-04 Odyssey owners saying that the front airbags suddenly went off without a crash. The Detroit News reports that three of the six owners sustained injuries from these incidents. Additionally, NHTSA has received 41 complaints from owners saying the vehicle's airbag warning light had illuminated.
Rumormill: DeLorean Motor Company considering rescuing Pontiac Solstice?
Wed, 07 Oct 2009 DeLorean Motor Company Pontiac Solstice renderings - Click above for high-res image gallery
General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.
