Here's a fine 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix Supercharged GTP model with the Competition Group Package in a stunning Graystone Metallic exterior and a Dark Pewter Leather interior and a rare hard to find one with only 29,600 original miles, it runs and drives flawlessly. I obtained this vehicle from the original owner, a 62 yr old woman, who purchased it new at Darby South GMC Pontiac Buik, a local dealership right here in Venice Fl. and always had it serviced there too utilizing Mobil 1 synthetic oil, this is a garage sleeper that never even has left little Venice Florida. This vehicle has the Competition Group Package which includes; P225/55/17" speed rated BF Goodrich tires and I just installed its first set of brand new P225/55/17" speed rated BF Goodrich G force Sport Comp 2 Ultra performance tires to replace the originals, the Competition Group Package also includes 17" factory polished aluminum machine finish wheels, Magnasteer II, Stabilitrak sport, Traction control, 3.29 axle ratio, 4speed automatic transmission or if you prefer 4spd manual sport mode with tap shift (paddle shiftters on steering wheel), trip computer, Heads up display & Red brake calipers, this Grand Prix is also equipped with the Widetrack Handling System, it's an incredible driving machine, very stabil, safe and fast, great gas mileage too.
Please mouse over and or enlarge all the pictures and examine the origonal $31,145.00 window sticker you can find in one of the pictures and read through what this car is equipped with, it is just way to much for me to list. Comes with all the origonal like new manuals & 2 sets of keys/fobs. This car runs & drives just like new and it looks pretty darn new too however it is 8yrs old and the exterior has 1 small parking lot ding up by drivers door handle (did not break paint and it won't show up in a picture) and it has some light minor scratches that are hardly visable and that would never show up in any pictures, the interior is almost like new too showing only very minor signs of any wear at all, the engine compartment looks new, the trunk looks new and even the undercarriage of the car still looks new too. Just a note, the power sunroof has two functions, it automatically flips up for venting with a touch of a button or slides completly open, it also has a sliding shade with venting slots so you can keep the sun out while in its flip up mode or keep it completly closed for no sun entry, also the rear seats fold down independently so it expands the length of the cargo space in trunk, the stereo system is a piece of art, its a premium am-fm-cd player and it loads 6 cd's in dash along with a factory 245 watt built in trunk amp with a 9 speaker monsoon system and it kicks. Just recently spent $1,600.00 and had installed the new set of tires as mentioned above and the best lifetime transferable LLumar Formula 1 non metallic LEGAL in Florida tint on the windows, a new K&N washable reuseable high flow air filter and also a brand new DynoMax cat back performance exhaust system with new large Stainless steel tips, all joints are welded and painted on this exhaust sytem, and also just had a oil & filter change using synthetic motor oil and it had the supercharger oil changed too. Please, take the time to view the window sticker in last picture enlarged so to absoarb all the features and options this vehicle has, it is impresssive.
A $100.00 deposit is required at end of auction and balance via bank wire or cash accepted at my bank when closing the deal here in Venice, otherwise any checks must clear bank before releasing vehicle. I have a clean clear Florida title in my name for this vehicle.

Junkyard Gem: 1988 Pontiac 6000 LE Safari Wagon
Wed, May 27 2020The Detroit station wagon was fast losing sales to minivans and trucks as the decade of the 1980s progressed, but Pontiac shoppers still had plenty of choices as late as the 1988 model year. A visit to a Pontiac dealership in 1988 would have presented you with three sizes of wagon, from the little Sunbird through the midsize 6000 and up to the mighty Parisienne-based Safari. Today's Junkyard Gem is a luxed-up 6000 LE, complete with "wood" paneling, found in a car graveyard in Fargo, North Dakota. Confusingly, the "Safari" name in 1988 was used by Pontiac to designate both a specific model — the wagon version of the Parisienne/Bonneville— and as the traditional Pontiac designation for a station wagon. That meant that the wagon we're looking at now was a Safari but not the Safari in the 1988 Pontiac universe. The 6000 lived on the GM A-Body platform, as the Pontiac-badged version of the Chevrolet Celebrity. Production ran from the 1982 through 1991 model years, with the A-Body Buick Century surviving all the way through 1996. The LE trim level came between the base 6000 and the gloriously complex 6000 STE (which wasn't available in wagon form, sadly). I visited this yard in Fargo after judging at the Minneapolis 500 24 Hours of Lemons in Brainerd, Minnesota, last fall. Up to that point, I had visited 47 of the Lower 48 United States, with just North Dakota remaining, so I made a point of doing a Fargo detour in order to check that state off my list. I'm pleased that I found such a good example of the 1982-1996 GM A-Body in this yard, because the most famous of all the A-Bodies is the 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera driven to Brainerd by the inept Fargo-based kidnappers in the film "Fargo." This Minnesota-plated 6000 had some rust, but just negligible levels by Upper Midwestern standards on a 31-year-old car. The interior looked very good, with the original owner's manual still inside. The 6000 LE boasted "redesigned contoured seats and London/Empress fabric," which sounds pretty swanky. Something less swanky lives under the hood: an Iron Duke 2.5-liter pushrod four-cylinder engine, known as the Tech 4 by 1988. The Iron Duke was, at heart, one cylinder bank of the not-quite-renowned Pontiac 301-cubic-inch V8; while fairly rugged, the Duke ran rough (typical of large-displacement straight-four engines) and made just 98 horsepower in this application. Pontiac offered a couple of optional V6s in the 6000 in 1988, but no Quad 4.
GM repairing 40,500 Pontiac Vibes as part of Toyota airbag recall
Wed, 09 Apr 2014General Motors has confirmed to Autoblog that the Pontiac Vibe is included in Toyota's just-announced recall action. The Vibe and the Toyota Matrix share a large number of parts, including the affected cable to the airbag.
"About 40,500 Pontiac Vibes from the 2009-2010 model years are included in the Toyota recall. Toyota designed and engineered the Vibe for Pontiac. GM will service customers with these vehicles when Toyota makes the parts available," said GM recall spokesperson Alan Adler to Autoblog in an email.
The recall covers 1.3 million Toyota units in the US, including 2009-2010 Corolla, Matrix and Tacoma, the 2008-2010 Highlander, the 2006-2008 Rav4 and 2006-2010 Yaris, plus the addition of the 2009-2010 Vibe. The models all have their airbag module attached via a spiral electrical cable. The connections on this cable can be damaged when turning the steering wheel. Once broken, the airbag deactivates and the airbag warning light comes on. Toyota has an improved part, but it's still making preparations to begin repairs. It will begin notifying owners soon.
Junkyard Gem: 2004 Pontiac Vibe GT
Fri, Jun 26 2020The New United Motor Manufacturing plant in Fremont, California, built Toyota-derived machinery — badged as Toyotas, Chevrolets, Geos, and Pontiacs— from 1984 through 2010, and some of the very last vehicles that left the assembly line were Pontiac Vibes. The Vibe, sibling to the Toyota Matrix, mostly served as a ho-hum transportation appliance and/or fleet car, but a factory-hot-rod GT version could be purchased. Today's Junkyard Gem is one of those rare GTs, complete with the nearly unheard-of six-speed manual transmission, found in a self-service yard in northeastern Colorado. The regular Vibe had 123 or 130 horsepower, depending on the number of driven wheels, but the Vibe GT got the same 1.8-liter 2ZZ engine that went into the Celica GT-S. 180 horsepower, which was enough to make the 2,800-pound Vibe GT keep up with the 3,108-pound/215-horse Chrysler PT Cruiser Turbo that year. Sadly, no race series pitting Vibe GTs against PT Cruiser Turbos and Chevy HHR SSs on road courses ever materializedÂ… but it's not too late. The Vibe GT has something you couldn't get in a PT Cruiser or Chevy HHR, though: a six-speed manual transmission as standard equipment. In fact, the six-speed was the only transmission offered in the early Vibe GTs (an automatic became an option later on). You'll find plenty of three-pedal econoboxes from this era, because they were significantly cheaper than their slushbox-equipped counterparts, but the Vibe GT had plenty of competition from sportier-looking cars with manual transmissions in 2004. Not many were sold. This car is covered with nasty dents from golf-ball-sized hail (all too common in High Plains Colorado), so it may have been an insurance total that nobody wanted at auction. Sold in Wyoming, will be crushed in an adjacent state. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Fuel for the soul. Toyota had right-hand-drive Matrixes brought over to Japan from Canada, but a NUMMI-built version of the Vibe could be purchased there for a few years as well. This was the Voltz, and its advertising seems notably frantic even by the standards of Japanese car commercials.
