For Sale 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP 4 Door Sedan, 303 Horsepower 5.3 liter V8 with displacement on demand, which means the engine will shut down certain cylinders to conserve fuel during town or slow city driving conditions. It is an automatic transmission with the option of putting it in to manual mode and drive using steering wheel mounted tap shifters rather than a manual gear shifter. The list of options on these cars is really impressive. Heads up display allows driver to see speed, direction of travel and radio station displayed on windshield so that you don't take your eyes off the road. The car has navigation, OnStar,  Radio Controls and cruise control buttons on the steering wheel. Power seat on drivers side, Both front seats are heated. Dual front airbags. 18 inch Alcoa forged wheels. Traction Control. The list of options is almost to much to list. This car is extremely comfortable to drive and very fun.

This Car started in the Sparks Nevada And Reno Nevada area and ended up in Lancaster California. It has spent its life in dry desert climate. and has zero rust or corrosion issues. Most of these cars that have been listed on Ebay in recent months have been located in the Midwest area of the U.S. (AKA Rust Belt) Most of these cars have more than likely been exposed to harsh winters, rainy spring and summers and plenty of gravel roads. Most of these states use harsh corrosive salts and sands on the roads to melt ice and snow and are very hard on paint and metal components. I lived in Iowa for 24 years and seen the damage that these conditions cause. Why not save the hassle and buy a car that is as good as new structurally. This car has a clean carfax and is very clean in and out. There are a few light scratches on the paint on the doors and a small scratched area on rear bumper cover looks like damage from taking luggage out of the trunk. But for a 7 year old car the condition is good. I recently put all 4 new tires Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS pole position tires on the car They have less than 5000 miles on them. All 4 wheels were professionally polished and re clear coated at the same time the tires went on. There was one factory recall performed on the car to replace a faulty or poorly designed power steering hose. The car will pass California Smog. If you are an out of state buyer and need a shipping quote let me know what your zip code is. I have a shipping broker that I use that comes in hundreds of dollars cheaper than the shipping quotes from ebay. I would also be willing to pick you up at a local airport if you choose to fly in and  drive back. I am in north Los Angeles county, the nearest major airports are LAX, Burbank or Ontario. I am available for test drives almost any time if you are interested in stopping by to check it out in person let me know. Good luck.

Win a car while supporting a charity this holiday season

Thu, Dec 9 2021

Autoblog may receive a share from purchases made via links on this page. Pricing and availability are subject to change. No donation or payment necessary to enter or win this sweepstakes. See official rules on Omaze.  The leaves have fallen, there is a crispness to the air and there have already been multiple forecasts of snow, which can only mean one thing: We're coming up on Christmas. While you've been busy thinking about what kind of gifts you're going to give your loved ones, we here at Autoblog have been deciding which dream car we'd like to see in our driveway on Christmas morning. A car for Christmas does seem a bit extreme and expensive, but thanks to these Omaze sweepstakes, it doesn't have to break the bank. Here are the current sweepstakes we'd like to win this holiday season. Win a DeLorean DMC-12 - Enter at Omaze James Riswick, West Coast Editor: Let me be clear, the DeLorean is a pretty terrible car. Its speedometer doesn't even go up to the fabled 88 mph. Seriously, look at the pictures: tops out at 85. Also, who services a DeLorean? And how much would it cost to maintain one? $AlloftheMoney or just $MostoftheMoney? So owning it could be a total headache, but at least by winning one through Omaze, you'd be relieved of the financial burden of buying one in the first place. You'd also get the chance to own one of the most iconic cars of all time, one that transcends car enthusiasm and is instantly recognizable by everyone as the "Back to the Future" car. Plus, "everyone" doesn't know that the DeLorean was actually a pretty terrible car. So, I already own James Bond's car from 1995, why not Doc Brown's from 1985? Win a 2021 Bentley Bentayga V8 - Enter at Omaze Eddie Sabatini, Production Manager: Why am I choosing a +$200K Bentley SUV? Because even if I could afford one I'd never be able to wrap my head around spending money on one. So why not try to win one by donating what I can afford to a good cause? I first saw the Bentley Bentayga up close and personal at the Frankfurt Motor Show (I forget which year but I'll never forget this SUV). And although it looks like the Bentayga Omaze is offering up doesn't have the opulent tailgate setup I fell in love with when I saw it in Frankfurt, I'd still enter to win. Win a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280SL Pagoda - Enter at Omaze Byron Hurd, Editor: Few automotive marketing efforts stick out in my head more than the Mercedes-Benz holiday spots and magazine placements.

How to turn a Pontiac Fiero into a trackday car

Fri, 17 Oct 2014

Imagine hitting the track in a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports coupe that's affordable and has pretty good parts availability. It might sound like a pipe dream, but it's actually quite possible, if you're willing to think a little outside the box. The Pontiac Fiero is out there just waiting for a little work to turn it into a competent racing machine.
Think about it for a second. Of course, we would all like to be snaking through the curves in something exotic, but what happens when you crash or something breaks? The bills are going to mount up quickly. However, if you ball up a Fiero at the track, as long as you're not hurt, then it's not a huge tragedy.
That's basically the story of Steven Snyder in a new video from Drive starring Matt Farah. Snyder wanted to go to the track cheaply and ended up with an awesome little Fiero with a huge wing and a claimed 220 horsepower at the wheels thanks to a V6 from a Chevrolet Lumina. Check out the video to see how this pint-size Pontiac performs.

Fiero-based Zimmer Quicksilver was objectively terrible, but we'd totally drive it

Wed, Jan 19 2022

Now here's something you don't see everyday. It's listed in our classified ads as a 1986 Pontiac Fiero, but as you can see, that description is a bit misleading. In fact, it's a Zimmer Quicksilver, which was indeed built atop the guts of a mid-engine Fiero coupe but was heavily modified by the Zimmer Motorcars Corporation at a facility in Pompano Beach, Florida. And the one you see here actually seems to be a pretty decent deal for a highly unusual car. We're not sure what was a more popular starting point for kit and custom cars in the 1980s and 1990s, but it would have to be either the Fiero or the vintage air-cooled Volkswagen Beetle. Fiero-based machines usually mimicked the design direction of any number of highly desirable Italian stallions, most commonly, we'd guess, the Lamborghini Countach. The Quicksilver is an altogether different animal, with over a foot of extra wheelbase added in front of the A-pillar to make for a dramatic, long and low silhouette that somehow still only has barely enough room for two passengers in its leather- and wood-lined interior. A stock 2.8-liter V6 engine from General Motors is mated to a three-speed automatic transmission that sends 140 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels. Period road tests found the 0-60 run took a little over 10 seconds, which is terrible today but wasn't all that bad for the mid '80s. Best we can tell, only around 170 Quicksilvers were made between 1984 and 1988, which are, not coincidentally, the same years that Pontiac produced the Fiero. The 1986 Zimmer Quicksilver you see here is priced at $18,495 and shows well under 30,000 miles on the odometer. There aren't a lot of Zimmer Quicksilvers currently for sale for us to compare, but the ones we did find that had sold within the last few years suggest a little under $20,000 is a reasonable asking price. It could be a fun and offbeat addition to the garage, and if nothing else, you're not likely to see another one at your local car show. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party.
