2003 Pontiac Grand Prix Gt Sedan 4-door 3.8l on 2040-cars
Ashland, Massachusetts, United States
The Vehicle..........2003 Pontiac Grand Prix GT sedan in dark blue with a
black leather interior. This Grand Prix GT is in GOOD CONDITION and RUNS BEAUTIFULLY. It has a completely CLEAN CARFAX report. Features include Front-Wheel-Drive, fuel efficient 3.8 liter engine,
automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, air conditioning, power
windows, power door locks, power mirrors, cruise control, tilt
steering wheel, delay wipers, am-fm-cd stereo, power sliding glass
sunroof, chrome alloy wheels, and much more. We encourage all local bidders
to see, inspect, and test drive this car prior to bidding. It is parked
indoors at the Car Vault at 20 Whitney St. in Holliston, MA. It's Condition..........GOOD! The engine runs smoothly with no skips, noises, or vibrations. All other mechanical
systems seem to function properly. There are no warning lights on the dash and
the air conditioning blows cold. The interior is about average. There are no badly
worn, torn, or stained areas on the seats, carpets, or headliner. The seats are
comfortable and supportive. All other interior panels look great. The body is
better than average. There are no big dents, or serious scratches
anywhere. The paint appears original and has an outstanding shine. The front
bumper was resprayed by the former owner to cover up paint cracks in the
plastic (see photo). Driving this Grand Prix GT is a solid and stable experience with a
powerful engine, comfortable interior and great stereo. There are no
shakes, rattles, or vibrations, and the handling is everything you would
expect. I do NOT represent this Grand Prix to be in “like new” condition, or
anything close to that, but I would describe it as CLEAN, SAFE, and COMFORTABLE. Things
you should know..........I try hard to accurately describe all of our vehicles.
Most are trade-ins to local new car dealers. We have not owned or driven these
vehicles as daily transportation. The description is the result of a short test
drive over varied road surfaces and a visual inspection while the vehicle is
parked. I am not a mechanic and I do not guarantee that my description of
problems (if any) is accurate or complete, but I try very hard to be thorough
and honest, and my reputation reflects that effort. Please remember that these
are used vehicles and you should expect a normal amount of wear for the year
and mileage, but any serious known defects would be noted above. Local
bidders are encouraged to see, drive, and inspect this vehicle prior to bidding.
The
Details..........Please
leave a $200 deposit at the end of the auction through ebay checkout and

notarized paperwork or special forms, please let me know before you arrive. The vehicle is being sold AS-IS, with no

Massachusetts does NOT offer temp plates. If you plan to drive the truck home,
you will need to bring your own license plates. Please call Marty at 508-944-4914 to set up a time to inspect the car. Don't wait until the last day. That never works. |

Lutz says Washington killed Pontiac, next G6 was to be ATS derivative
Tue, 29 Oct 2013How many people think Buick or GMC should have gotten the axe instead of Pontiac? You can't see it, but I'm raising my hand. Autoweek reports that former Vice Chairman of GM, Bob Lutz, has indicated that things didn't have to end up the way they did.
"The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.'"
In a talk given at the Petersen Automotive Museum for the Inside the MotoMan Studio series, Lutz says "The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.' So, it goes. And when the guy who is handing you the check for $53 billion says, 'I don't want Pontiac, drop Pontiac or you don't get the money,' it doesn't take you very long to make up your mind." Lutz even added that the next-generation Pontiac G6 would have benefitted from the rear-wheel-drive platform of the Cadillac ATS. How awesome would that have been?
NHTSA investigating 550k Pontiac G6 models, 320k Honda Odysseys
Mon, 10 Jun 2013According to two separate reports in The Detroit News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching investigations into 550,000 Pontiac G6 (pictured above) and 320,000 Honda Odyssey (pictured right) models. The G6 models are all from the 2005 to 2007 model years, while the Odyssey minivans are from the 2003 and 2004 model years. The two NHTSA probes are not related.
In the case of the G6, this is an upgrade to an original investigation that started in February after NHTSA received "hundreds of reports" that the brake lights on these cars may malfunction. According to The Detroit News, the lights may come on when the brake pedal is not depressed, and likewise, the brake lights may not illuminate when the pedal has been pushed. General Motors was able to provide NHTSA with a significant number of warranty claims, including 1,100 reports that could potentially relate to this problem, one of which indicates a vehicle crash.
For Honda, the NHTSA probe concerns airbags that may deploy unexpectedly. The government agency received six complaints from 2003-04 Odyssey owners saying that the front airbags suddenly went off without a crash. The Detroit News reports that three of the six owners sustained injuries from these incidents. Additionally, NHTSA has received 41 complaints from owners saying the vehicle's airbag warning light had illuminated.
Porsche Sports Car Together Fest is a labor of many Porsche loves
Sat, Sep 17 2022Over Labor Day Weekend, Porsche held its second annual Sports Car Together Fest (SCTF) at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We happened to be nearby, so we swung by to check out an event we’d never heard of until a few weeks before. Reading about it on Porsche's U.S. web site made us think it would be something like Rennsport Reunion for the Midwest. Turns out SCTF is just as much of a different kind of fun. The fest Tom MooreÂ’s the man behind Dark Horse Motorsports, the motorsport consultant for Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) PR. "People love Rennsport Reunion, but thatÂ’s every three to four years," he explained. “We wanted to gather people on those off years, and we didn't want to just do a mini Rennsport, because thatÂ’s its own thing. WeÂ’ve maintained the motorsport history at Rennsport. Here [at SCTF], we're doing the current look at what Porsche racing is for." In this case, that means gathering what Moore called "our Porsche motorsport pyramid." ThatÂ’s the range of enthusiast drivers from novice to hotshoes trying to get to top-tier endurance racing, "[starting] with the progression from Porsche Club of America track days up to the top of the ladder of one-make racing in North America," the Carrera Cup North America, a series made up of nothing but the latest 500-horsepower 911 GT3 Cup cars. The three days of racing action allowed almost any kind of Porsche owner interested in clipping apexes to compete around an Indianapolis Motor Speedway layout tweaked with an infield section. This year, that included ex-NASCAR star Jeff Gordon, coming out of retirement to reunite with his longtime NASCAR crew chief Ray Evernham for the top-class Cup races. Evernham told us Gordon hasnÂ’t raced in five years and he hasnÂ’t been a crew chief in 22. On very short practice, Gordon finished in 14th in the Pro Class in the first Carrera Cup race of the weekend driving the #24 Hendrick Performance Group Porsche, and 11th in the second race. Afterward, he said, "I made a pass on the white flag lap. That made my whole weekend Â… I must say that yesterday, I thought ‘man, I am getting beat out hereÂ’ and I donÂ’t like that. If I am going to be in an environment like this, I want to be competitive. But today turned the corner for me. So, I hope I get to do another one day." When we strolled the paddock after the event, exposed sheet metal proved "Rubbing is racing" is a thing in the Carrera Cup as well as NASCAR.
