                                   1967 Pontiac Grand Prix

This Grand Prix is a "survivor" car. It has survived being crushed twice! It is in amazing shape and I am glad that I was able to save it from a lesser fate!

First off, This car does not have a Title. It will come with a bill of sale. If you would like me to title it it will be 300.00 and can take thirty to sixty days for it to arrive.

Please make sure you take a close look at the pictures below in the description as there are many! If you have any questions about the car please call me at 512-297-4938.

This car has the Pontiac 400ci motor and I was told by the previous owner that it was rebuilt and had not been fired up yet. it comes with all of the brackets and the alternator. There are quite a few miscellaneous parts and I will make sure you get everything. Everything I see under the hood points to the fact that the motor was rebuilt and has yet to be fired up. I have most of the old valve springs and rockers for the heads.

It has a right side fender that has been replaced and that is the only place where there is rust showing through other than the bottom of the vinyl top. The vinyl top has "marbles" under it like most do at this point in their life if they are the original vinyl and were not garage kept it's whole life. I cannot attest to what shape the roof is in underneath.

Comes with the original transmission. I have no idea what shape it is in. It does not like to go into park half the time as it looks like the linkage is out of adjustment. The car has the original rear end as well.

The body is incredibly straight and the doors shut with no issues, solid the way they should with no sag.

The front windshield needs replaced. All other glass is original and the door windows still have the "GP" frosted in the glass!

Interior is in really good shape for the year! Driver's side seat is just now starting to have a seam tear on the left upper side. The rear seats are showing places up at the top where there are seam issues. This is an original bucket seat console car! All the interior is original with the car and the door panels are immaculate! Some of the interior chrome is pitted and the dash has some cracking. Middle console opens and is in good shape. Headliner is sagging and is coming apart at the seams but all of the original material is still there.

The underneath, floor boards, trunk, are solid! I could find no places showing holes or rust-through anywhere!

Needs tires.

The right side fender, front nose piece, valance panel have been replaced on the front end. I have no idea exactly what the issues where as they were replaced before I purchased it.

There are only so many hours in a day, month, year, and I have WAY too many projects going on all of the time. I have to decide what I can put my time into and the one's I can't I pass on and hope someone will purchase the car that will finish it up and do it justice. Especially this one as i'm a really big pontiac nut! Believe me, this one is hard to let go.

This  will be the perfect car to restore! Or make into the hot rod of your dreams!

I make no warranties about the condition of the vehicle whatsoever. Motor, transmission, rear end, or otherwise. All sales are final. If you have an issue please get a hold of me before E-Bay. I've yet to find anything that can't be worked out in the end.

If you have any questions about the car please call me at 512-297-4938.

I reserve the right to end the auction as this vehicle is also for sale locally here in Austin Texas.

Please understand that in winning the car you have signed a contract. You are obligated to send the deposit within 48hrs of the end of the auction and the car must be PAID IN FULL WITHIN SEVEN (7) DAYS OF THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION. I WILL NOT GO BACK ON THIS. I have had too many people win the bid and then want to pay me three, four, sometimes a month or so later. I am not a finance company and will re-list the car on the 8th day if you do not hold up to your end of the contract as a buyer. Unfortunately too many people have taken advantage of the fact that I'm a pretty good guy and decided they would pay me whenever they wanted to.

I will sell and ship anywhere in the world but the car must be paid in full money transferred and cleared into my bank account before releasing the car to you, a shipper, your friend, or anyone. This is just "good business."

Good luck!

Motorweek looks back at the Pontiac Aztek

Thu, Jul 9 2015

The Pontiac Aztek has earned a position as this generation's ultimate, automotive punchline. Even other execrable models like the Yugo or Mustang II probably get more respect these days just out of their sheer quirkiness, but the Aztek remains a joke. Fortify your mind for what's coming, though, because the much-maligned Pontiac might not be quite so atrocious, at least according to MotorWeek's latest Retro Review video. MotorWeek calls the Aztek, "GM's first true crossover vehicle," and it's amazing to think of the hated model as a progenitor of one of the most popular segments today. While admitting that the looks are polarizing, John Davis and company actually come away pleased with the Aztek's utility. They praise that there's a ton of room in the back, and the interior is packed with useful features like a removable cooler in the center console and radio controls in a cargo area. The show is even impressed with how the Pontiac drives and throws around accolades like "nimble" and "pleasant." After seeing the Aztek leading the pack on lists of the worst vehicles of all time for years, listening to it get such effusive praise is actually quite jarring. Could we all be so wrong? No, there's absolutely no debate that this is still a hideous automobile. However, MotorWeek asserts a complete reversal of the generally perceived wisdom about the early CUV. While unexpected, thinking about such an abhorred model in a different way is a cool experience. Check out the video for a different take on the Aztek.

This 1927 Oakland is a minimalist hot rod

Fri, 21 Feb 2014

There are hundreds of American automakers that sprung up during the dawn of the automotive era, only to fold into obscurity or get gobbled up by what would eventually become the Big Four (yes, we're counting AMC here). Oakland is one such company, which was the forbearer for General Motors' Pontiac division. Sold until 1931, you simply don't see Oakland-badged cars anymore. Unless, that is, you know Brian Bent.
Bent drives a 1927 Oakland that still rides on wooden wheels. Its original wooden wheels, from the sound of it. That makes this anachronist and his Oakland the perfect subject for a Petrolicious video. Like many of the cars highlighted by Petrolicious, this old Oakland has had some work done to it, featuring a Pontiac flathead engine that's been pushed forward and a clutch pack built by Bent.
Take a look below for a closer look at this rare and fascinating Oakland.

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.
