like a brochure cover because this GTO is that
nice. Quite simply; it is the highest quality '04

looks awesome, the body is gorgeous and everything

The 5.7 liter engine fires instantly
and pulls like a freight train in every gear.
It'll do the quarter in the high 13s and has a governor
limited 158 MPH top speed. With full independent
suspension, a 3.46 posi and 4-wheel disc brakes, it is
basically a Corvette with two extra seats . . .
Pontiac sold the Monaro based GTO for
just three
years (2004-06) and the powerful luxury coupe completely deserves the
fabled fender badge it wears, in both form and function.
Unlike other makes, after 1974 Pontiac didn't sully the GTO
name by using it on lesser vehicles. (Malibu, Impala
etc.) Ergo, any GTO is respected. Period.
Genuine dual exhaust with two-on-the-left
exit . . .
New car quality from every angle . . .
This 2004 Pontiac GTO is a true GTO.
Comfortable, great looking, capable of epic speed and
the target audience wants intensely to own it.
As you might expect, top condition GTOs like this are at the top of
everybody's list, which is why we wanted the
car and why everybody else will too. Pontiac is
no more and there won't be any more GTOs. Grab one now
while supplies last.
Beautiful leather interior with 8-way
power driver and passenger seats, matching yellow faced gauges
and satin nickel interior trim, all of it in great condition.
Car and Driver called these seats "the best seats in any GM
product ever" (C/D 12-03)
. . .
French upholstery seams and yellow stitching . . .
200 MPH speedometer, driver information
center and not shown, a "rest reminder." Every two
hours an LCD in the cluster flashes a little tree with
picnic table (near where you see the odometer) to
remind you when it's time to spread a blanket for some cold
chicken, warm cake and mosquitoes garnished with idling
18-wheelers . . .

Original owner books.
A note from the owner.
I am a “used car dealer” but before that,
I’m an automobile enthusiast. I love original rare and high
quality modified vintage cars and over the past decade I’ve
been in business, have come to appreciate an expanding
selection of high-demand, high value vehicles. I specialize
in and am always on the lookout for cars and trucks that
were cherished by their previous owners. I have an
experienced eye for quality but I’ve discovered that my
preferred buyer can instantly discern such a vehicle and I
have therefore, built my business and reputation around
finding these kinds of cars for this type of customer.
Super low miles and/or gentle ownership are strict
requirements but a car must do something for me on a
personal level if there is any hope of convincing you, the
bidder, that this is an above average, exceptional
vehicle. If nothing about the car excites me, it probably
won’t do much for you either and I would soon be out of
business.
With just four employees and no sales
people, I realize how unusual a “dealership” like mine may
at first glance appear. It has taken great care and effort
to create such an organization and often, an unusually high
investment in a particular car we are about to list. To
sell the best it is critical to have a trusted expert in my
corner and Chris, owner of
A-Best Auto Repair
in Henderson, Nevada has my back. He and his crew can fix
anything; from a low budget beater to the absolute
most expensive exotic you can name, no job is too big and no
small detail unimportant. They do an exhaustive 130 point
inspection on each and every vehicle and nothing escapes
their methodical investigation. Experience has shown that
everything I spend making a car truly “right” will come back
to me not only with a higher selling price, but a happy
customer that says good things about me. Moreover; it
allows my writer to describe the car with ease and
confidence, something that simply is not possible unless
he thinks it is true. If major issues are found or the
cost of fixing the car the way it should be makes it too
expensive to sell, my choice is an easy one. I simply
absorb a few hundred dollars loss for my trouble and sell it
at auction.
After the vehicle is fully sorted it
arrives at our facility where it encounters the suspicious
eye of Tom, my writer that creates the presentations you see
on eBay. He believes absolutely nothing I or anyone else
tells him about the car as he combs over every inch,
researches its history and documents originality and
authenticity. Historical significance, rarity, special
features, possible modifications and much more are used to
accurately describe the vehicle with integrity and honesty.
Most important for the potential buyer are the 100 to 150
high resolution pictures that I take myself. The pricey
equipment I use would be right at home in the hands of the
very best professional photographers and I’ve developed a
logical format that walks you around the entire vehicle with
close-up shots of every square inch. I provide detailed
views of the interior, under the hood and then put it on a
lift to show the undercarriage and confirm that the beauty
of the car you are considering is not merely skin deep.
Even our detailers are enthusiastic about the cars they so
meticulously clean. This reconditioning can sometimes take
several days and I’ve converted a paint booth, especially
prepared for the professional clay bar and polishing each
car lovingly receives.
Usually, I’ll also include a high
definition video that shows the car doing its thing. If
it’s a fast car, we film it going fast. If it’s a 4x4
you’ll see it crawling up a hill. In every case you will
hear things like a rumbling exhaust, working sound system
and watch the temperature fall on a digital, laser
thermometer pointed at an air conditioning vent. How many
“dealers” will video a Lotus Esprit doing a buck-eighty? We
do.
No “dealer,” on-line or in the real
world, takes it to this level. No other seller or
organization provides you, the buyer, with so much
information. I do this because it is the only way I can
convince a person; often a world away, unable to touch or
feel their purchase, that my vehicle is for real and what I
say is the truth. All the above is necessary for me to stay
in business while keeping integrity intact. I want every
buyer to be happy and I need glowing feedback on
eBay. To accomplish that I need satisfied customers that
are as thrilled with their purchase as I was when I bought
it.
If you have any questions at all, please
call me on my cell at: 702-353-7500. If your inquiry is
sincere and your offer serious, you’ll find me the most
accommodating business partner you’ve ever dealt with. If
you call or e-mail asking for my reserve or “what is my
bottom line” I will be looking for ways to politely end the
conversation. Until you are ready to actually pull the
trigger, I will happily quote you the absolute highest
nationally advertised suggested retail price I can find – a
number we both know will not buy the car so, don’t waste
your time, or mine. I am after all, a “used car dealer.”
Serious buyers know the maximum they can
offer. I then must simply decide if I can sell for that
number.
If you hit the reserve, the decision is no
longer mine. I must sell at that number.

For General Motors, the W platform just kept giving and giving and giving for decade after decade, serving as the basis of Buick Regals, Oldsmobile Intrigues, Chevrolet Monte Carlos, and many, many more models. The final and most powerful Pontiac W-Body, the sixth-generation Grand Prix GTP, rolled off assembly lines for the 1997 through 2003 model years. Here's one in a Northern California self-service wrecking yard. GM bolted the supercharged 3800 V6 into vast numbers of cars during this era, providing a deep reservoir of cheap blowers for unwise high-boost projects. 240 front-tire-charring horses, complete with a Roots-type blower scream from the Eaton supercharger under the hood. I see plenty of blown 3800s during my junkyard travels, from the Bonneville SSEi to the Oldsmobile LSS. Depressingly, GM stopped putting manual transmissions in the Grand Prix during the 1993 model year, so '01 GTP owners had to take the four-speed slushbox. This one came close to the magic 200,000-mile mark, but fell 25,000 short. The interior took a beating during its life, ending its time on the road with shredded upholstery and dirty panels. Seven-band graphic equalizers were all the rage during the 1980s, but GM kept the tradition alive into our current century. This content is hosted by a third party. With the era of the 1960s-style muscle car ended by the ever-more-stringent emissions regulations, insurance costs and higher gasoline prices of the early 1970s, GM's Pontiac Division was ready with a lineup of flash-enhanced machines packed with (alleged) European-style performance and styling. Three of them were based on the midsize A Platform for 1973: the LeMans, the Grand Prix and the brand-new Grand Am. The 1973 Grand Am was cheaper than the luxed-up Grand Prix, but still had a BMW-ish interior and wild exterior styling; sales weren't great, but the 30th anniversary of this car seemed sufficiently momentous for Pontiac to create a special-edition package for its soon-to-be-axed successor. Here's one of these rare machines, spotted recently in a Denver car graveyard. The original rear-wheel-drive Grand Am was built for the 1973-1975 and 1978-1980 model years, but its similarity to the much cheaper LeMans kept sales numbers unimpressive. When the Grand Am name was revived for a Pontiac-badged compact on the front-drive N Platform in the 1985 model year, however, it became a big seller right away and stayed that way into our current century. The N-Body Grand Am was built through 2005, with platform updates for the 1992 and 1999 model years. Along the way, it was sibling to such cars as the Oldsmobile Calais, Buick Somerset, Chevrolet Beretta and Oldsmobile Alero. By 2003, though, the ground was shifting under Pontiac's feet. The iconic Firebird had been discontinued the previous year, and even the Grand Prix's days were officially numbered. Oldsmobile would be gone after 2004, and the entire Pontiac vehicle lineup would be shaken up soon after. The last year for the Grand Am (and the Sunfire) would be 2005, with the G6 taking its place. With all that going on, why not offer a 30th Anniversary package? After all, the Grand Prix got a 40th Anniversary Edition for 2002. Our reviewer described this car as "leaner, trimmer and more contemporary" at the time, but made no mention of the 30th Anniversary Edition. The VIN says this car is a top-grade GT1 sedan, with an MSRP of $22,325 (that's about $39,920 in 2023 dollars). Two engines were available in the 2003 Grand Am: a 2.2-liter Ecotec four-cylinder with 140 horsepower and a 3.4-liter pushrod V6 with either 170 or 175 horsepower. This car has the 175-horse V6, complete with "Ram Air" cold-air induction. That name goes way back in Pontiac history.

The latest video from The Aficionauto is the perfect palate cleanser for Knight Rider fans after finding out that Justin Bieber is the voice of KITT in an upcoming film. Host Christopher Rutkowski says that the Knight Industries Two Thousand is one of the most requested vehicles to appear on the series and for good reason - Michael Knight's Pontiac Trans-Am is among the most famous cars to ever appear on television. While the video isn't able to showcase one of the original KITTs from the series, it does get star David Hasselhoff to drive his personal replica and talk about the lasting legacy of the show. The highlight here might be seeing The Hoff back behind the wheel in the open desert basically recreating Knight Rider's opening sequence. With all of its flashing lights and gizmos, you can probably make the argument that KITT is pretty cheesy, and the show itself was never exactly a pillar of high-quality drama on television. Despite that, the series still provides a ton of good-natured fun, and The Hoff's continued enthusiasm for it is pretty infectious.
