COLLECTOR CAR ENTHUSIAST - Here is the Holy Grail of Muscle Cars...the one that started it all.  So if you are "Car Crazy", this is the GTO for you,

1964 GTO - Tri Power - 4 Speed - Positraction
55,000 original miles, Survivor

PHS documentation is included with this GTO which was purchased at Packer Pontiac in Detroit, Michigan for a whopping sum of $3415.83.  One year later, the original owner took it back to the local Pontiac dealer and had tri power and 4 speed added to the GTO as to came from the factory as a four barrel - automatic car.

All GM and Pontiac ORIGINAL PARTS were used to convert this GTO to the ULTIMATE MUSCLE CAR of all time.  The GTO came from the factory with power steering and power brakes, tinted glass, and the $7.53 seat belt option.

I recently added a $1000 Pioneer Sound System with the CD player in the glove box with remote control.  New complete dual exhaust.

I have seen a number of so called restored GTO's at the car shows but they do not come close to this ALL ORIGINAL GTO.

Color is Daytona Blue with one repaint.  Body and paint is very good.  Interior is excellent.  Chrome and stainless is excellent.  Frame and chassis is excellent. Glass is excellent.

Trunk area is perfect.  No patches or rust anywhere.

Left engine compartment, the original way it was.

Driven less than 1500 miles over the last 5 years.

Sold as is where is.  Payment must be cash, money order, or cashiers check.

Overseas bidders are welcome and all bidders please remember a '64 GTO. 55,00 mile survivor like this does not come up for bid very often.

Good Luck to all bidders - included recent Missouri State Inspection paperwork and this is a numbers matching car (except for transmission and tri power).

Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am

Wed, 15 May 2013

When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day

Thu, 07 Jun 2012

Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.

Burt Reynolds Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am sells for $450k

Mon, Dec 15 2014

Apparently, there's still a lot of love out there for by Burt Reynolds and his famous role in Smokey and the Bandit – or at least for his car. As you might remember, Autoblog reported on the auction of the 1977 Pontiac Trans Am a few week ago. At the time, the movie star's car was already well past its $80,000 top estimate, and bidding only shot up from there for a final price of $450,000. That seems like a lot of money for a Trans Am that never actually appears in Smokey and the Bandit. According to the listing, the car was used to promote the film and was given to Reynolds afterward with his name on the title as proof of ownership. The Trans Am looks practically identical to the one in the movie with black paint, the gold firebird on the hood and Bandit name on the driver's door. This one packs a 400-cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8 with a 4-barrel carburetor under the hood, an automatic transmission and a plaque inside the door that proclaims "1977 Pontiac Trans Am Owned By Burt Reynolds." The wedding stagecoach based on an International Harvester Scout we mentioned in the earlier story also beat its top estimate of $20,000. It went for $34,375, according to the auction house's website, and in total the sale raised about $2.5 million. Scroll down to read the full announcement from Julien's Auctions. LEGENDARY STAR BURT REYNOLDS PROVES TO BE AS ICONIC AS HIS AUCTION RESULTS "Smokey and the Bandit" Trans Am Sells for $450,000 Career Memorabilia including Awards, Personal Items and Film Worn Costumes along with Vast Art Collection from Reynolds Museum Caliber Private Collection Featured at Julien's Auctions This Week Brings in $2.5 million Las Vegas, Nevada – (December 15, 2014) – Julien's Auctions, the auction house to the stars concluded a whirlwind two-day auction of The Collection of Award Winning Actor Burt Reynolds. The exciting auction event featuring personal effects, career memorabilia, and a museum-caliber fine art collection took place at the Palms Casino Resort Thursday and Friday with bidders from around the world bidding high and bidding often. Burt Reynolds, best known as a leading film star, has had a storied career both on the big and small screen. Aside from his award winning portrayals of some of the world's most iconic characters in film and television, Reynolds is also a businessman who has owned a football team, a dinner theatre, a working ranch and even a museum.
