1967 Pontiac GTO. This GTO is PHS documented and is equipped with its original WT code 400 ci engine(engine number matches PHS engine unit number) its W code, wide ratio 4-speed transmission and a Quadrajet 4 barrel carb.. The engine was rebuilt in 2003 by a previous owner, I have the paper work. The body is very straight and has all its original sheet metal, including the floors and trunk. There is no evidence of any patch panels in the body, floors or trunk. The paint was done a number of years ago, I would assume in 2003, when the motor and interior was done. I would give it an 8.5 out of 10, there are a few blemishes in the paint that aren't noticeable from a few feet away. There is a small spot starting to bubble under the passanger side of the windshield, see picture. All the chrome and stainless is bright and shiney. The interior is in very good shape and mostly original, except for a new headliner and recovered front bucket seats, also done in 2003. The dash and console are also in great shape and it still has the AM radio and original seatbelts. The car is very tight, no rattles or squeaks and has a nice rumble, with Flowmaster mufflers, not too loud. Its a pleasure to drive, plenty of power and shifts smoothly. I can be reached at 508-326-6665, if no answer leave a message, all calls returned. The reserve is lower than the Buy it Now price.

This Auto Aerobics car art ties our brains in knots like pretzels

Sat, 14 Dec 2013

We like cars, and we like art. Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?
Check out the gallery we included of Labrooy's Bonneville art, and feel free too head over to his website for some Formula One humor.

STUDY: Ford owns brand loyalty in 2009; Scorned Saturn, Pontiac buyers will look outside of GM

Fri, 16 Oct 2009

Ford buyers appear to love their cars more than customers of any other automotive brand, returning back to the American automaker when it comes time to purchase their next vehicle. According to a study by Experian Automotive, six of the top 10 vehicles for customer brand loyalty wear badges from the Blue Oval. That includes the Ford Fusion (62.4 percent), Ford Edge (57.9 percent), Ford Five Hundred/Taurus (56 percent), Ford Freestyle (51.9 percent), Ford Escape (49.4 percent) and the Ford Focus (47.57 percent).
Other vehicles making up the top 10 include the Toyota Prius (52 percent), Chevy Impala (51.7 percent), Toyota Camry (47.8 percent) and Toyota Corolla (47.56 percent). This brings up an interesting question: With the closing of automotive brands like Saturn and Pontiac, where are those buyers to turn for their next automotive purchase?
Apparently, not back to General Motors. According to Experian, Pontiac owners are most likely to look to the Ford lineup for their next car or truck and Saturn shoppers will switch to Toyota or Honda - not particularly surprising given that Saturn was meant to compete with import brands. Experian predicts that GM's overall market share will fall from 20 percent to about 17.5 percent, with most of the slack being picked up by Ford, Honda and Toyota.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
