1965 PONTIAC GTO SPORT COUPE powered by the 400 ci with the 4 speed on the floor. This is a factory air car!
This Pontiac has been fully restored at on time. Current condition is in excellent shape from top to bottom, in fact I have taken 85 pictures of the car and it is unfortunate I can only post 24 for this Ebay listing. Now, I am not saying this car is 100% perfect, I'm sure you could take a white glove and magnifying glass and find imperfections. What I will say is that this car has been very well cared for and has not been neglected in any way. The previous resto was completed with the up most quality which has shown in time, and again this car is as nice on top as it is underneath and in between! There is not anything that needs repaired or tended to at this time.
I keep this car climate controlled garage kept with a fresh coat of wax on it. When the weather is right it is only adult driven for a "sunday drive", usually for a date night dinner. The oil is always changed every 3 months regardless of miles driven. To be honest I could write a book on my general maintenance steps I take on a regular basis, yet quite frankly I'm not much of a writer. To sum it up this car is cared for better than most treat the family pet. I do not have any documentation to go with the car besides a clean and clear title. Unfortunately, any documentation once with the car has been misplaced over the years. I do welcome and encourage a prospective bidder to come see the car in person prior to bidding. I am also not in need of selling this car but I have made the choice to do so. My toys have accumulated to the point that caring for them all is a job instead of a hobby, so I'm simply looking to down size to potentially narrow my focus down and bring back the fun of it. To be clear, letting this Pontiac go will not be easy.
I do ask that all bidders have their finances in order and any inspections of vehicle completed prior to bidding. I am only looking for a pleasant transaction for both parties. I will require a mandatory minimal deposit of 10% of the purchase price, no less than $2000.00, within the first 24 hours after the auction has ended. I would expect payment in full no more than 7 day after end of auction. Acceptable forms of payment may be cash, certified cashiers check, or bank to bank wire transfer. I can make arrangements for the deposit to be made by debit or credit card. Which I would refund once payment is made in full by the three acceptable forms of payment. Buyer is responsible for picking up vehicle at their own expense. I do have professional transportation connections, if so desired. PLEASE, do not bid unless you are prepared to buy.
If you have any questions or to schedule a showing of this car please contact Courtney @ cell# 417-880-0538
Thank you for looking. Merry Christmas to you all and Happy New Year to the new buyer!

Junkyard Gem: 2002 Pontiac Aztek
Sat, Apr 17 2021The General's Pontiac Division sold the Aztek for the 2001 through 2005 model years, and — despite enjoying something of a cultural rebirth in recent years — it is generally considered to be one of the worst cars of all time. The idea of using a minivan platform as the basis for a rough-and-tough-looking crossover with plenty of outdoor-lifestyle amenities wasn't the problem, since many vehicle manufacturers have printed bales of money using that formula. What doomed the Aztek was its hideous appearance and sticker price too lofty for its underemployed-at-the-time Generation X target demographic. Still, the Aztek proved to be perfectly suited for the outdoor activities that Coloradans love: hiking, camping, fishing, skiing, hauling mud-caked golden retrievers around, etc., and so you'll still find lots of Azteks on the roads of the Centennial State. Here's an Aztek Yellow Aztek (yes, that's really the paint color's official title) residing just a few rows from a '76 Checker Taxicab in a Denver self-service yard. Sure, it does look like a vehicle built to the specifications of a six-year-old who decreed a mashup between a Datsun F-10 and a Fisher-Price Little People Travel Together Airplane, but so what? There's a built-in air compressor to blow up your inflatable rafts and volleyballs, a tent attachment that turns the rear of the van into a camper, 12-volt power plugs all over the vehicle (years before this became commonplace on ordinary minivans and SUVs), and running-gear commonality with a jillion Ventures, Silhouettes, Montanas and Trans Sports. Buick managed to de-uglify the Aztek (somewhat) and sold it as the Rendezvous through 2007, but the Aztek never could win over many people with this face. I see plenty of Azteks and Rendezvouses in Denver-area wrecking yards, and I've documented a handful over the years. This one came fully loaded from the factory, with the Corvette-style heads-up display in full effect. The center console was a removable cooler, which was a great idea Â… except for the fact that this cooler holds five standard 12-ounce cans. Michigan residents tell me that this must have been intentional on the part of the Detroit-based Aztek designers, because Michiganders are expected to chug one beer out of a sixer as they walk from the liquor store to the car in the parking lot Â… which makes me extra cautious whenever I'm driving in the Wolverine State.
Saturn Vue ignition switch leads to new group of GM recalls totaling 312k
Fri, 08 Aug 2014General Motors has another spate of recalls to announce. This time they cover 312,280 vehicles worldwide, including 269,041 of in the US, in a total of six campaigns. In 2014, the automaker has recalled 29,079,765 vehicles worldwide, with 25,754,356 of those in the US.
The largest among them covers 215,243 units of the Saturn Vue from 2002-2004 model years worldwide, 202,115 in the US. It's possible for the for the key to be removed even when the ignition isn't in the OFF position. The company knows of two crashes and one injury caused by this problem. Dealers are checking the parts and replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, if necessary.
Next is 72,826 models worldwide (48,059 vehicles in the US) of the 2013 Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, 2013 Buick Encore and 2013 Chevy Trax in Canada. It's possible that the for lap belt pretensioner to retract but not to lock, which could increase occupant movement during a crash. Both front, outboard lap belt pretensioners are being replaced, and a stop-sale is in effect on unsold models until the problem is repaired. There are no known crashes or injuries, though.
Toyota urges owners of old Corolla, Matrix and RAV4 models to park them until airbags are replaced
Mon, Jan 29 2024DETROIT — Toyota and General Motors are telling the owners of about 61,000 older Corolla, RAV4, Matrix/ Pontiac Vibe models to stop driving them because their Takata airbag inflators are at risk of exploding and hurling shrapnel. The urgent warning Monday covers: Certain Corolla compact cars and Matrix hatchbacks from the 2003 and 2004 model years. RAV4 small SUVs from 2004 and 2005. Also covered are about 11,000 Pontiac Vibes from 2003 and 2004, which are essentially the same as the Matrix and were made at the same California factory. Most of the vehicles are in the U.S. “If the airbag deploys, a part inside is more likely to explode and shoot sharp metal fragments, which could cause serious injury or death to the driver or passengers,” Toyota said in a statement. Owners can go to nhtsa.gov/recalls and enter their 17-digit vehicle identification number to see if their cars are affected. If you're not the original owner of the vehicle, the manufacturer's recall letter might not reach you, so be sure to do the VIN check. The recalled RAV4s have Takata driver's airbags while the Corolla and Matrix models have them on the passenger side. The Corolla and Matrix also are under a separate recall because their airbags can be deployed without a crash, the company said. Both companies said owners should contact a local dealer instead of driving the cars in for repairs. Dealers will provide options such as mobile repair, towing the car to a dealer, or vehicle pickup and delivery. Takata used volatile ammonium nitrate to create a small explosion to inflate airbags in a crash. But the chemical propellant can deteriorate over time when exposed to high temperatures and humidity. It can explode with too much force, blowing apart a metal canister and spewing shrapnel. At least 26 people have been killed in the U.S. by Takata inflators since May 2009, and at least 30 have died worldwide including people in Malaysia and Australia. In addition, about 400 people have been injured. The exploding airbags sent Takata of Japan into bankruptcy. The potential for a dangerous malfunction led to the largest series of auto recalls in U.S. history. About 100 million inflators were recalled worldwide. Recalls Pontiac Toyota Takata airbag recall
