Very fast and very rare 2009 blue metallic G8 GXP with the very fast 6.2 LS3. 1 of only 35 with this option combination. No bad weather ever. Car was my weekend and clear weather driver. I am the second owner on the car. It has 24k mi and all options. It had 21k mi when I purchased the car 4yrs ago. I was fortunate enough to recently find a G8 Firehawk, which is the only reason I am selling the car. I know the original owner had purchased the 100k mi warranty upgrade, but I am not sure how many years remain with those, so I have listed no warranty since I have no way to verify other than taking the car in for repairs. This was the last great Pontiac produced in the second rarest color made. It will be a collector's item for years to come. Junkyard Gem: 1987 Pontiac Safari Station Wagon
Tue, Aug 9 2016During the 1960s and 1970s, station wagons based on full-sized Detroit sedans were the default family haulers, and many of those Kingswood Estates and Country Squires and Ambassadors came with unapologetically phony woodgrain-printed exterior paneling and trim. By the late 1980s, however, few were snapping up such wagons, making this '87 Safari that I spotted in a Denver yard an interesting find. Power for this wagon came from a 307-cubic-inch Oldsmobile V8 making 140 horsepower. General Motors used this engine in Buicks, Oldsmobiles, Chevrolets, Pontiacs, and Cadillacs, finally discontinuing production for the 1990 model year. Was the "wood" convincing, even when new? 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am
Mon, 13 May 2013No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.
