For sale is a super nice 2006 Pontiac G6 GT with only 59,000 miles! It is dark charcoal metallic outside and the interior has white leather seats with black trim. It has the 3.5 Liter V-6 engine with an automatic overdrive transmission. The car runs drives 100% and the transmission shifts as it should. The body is very straight with only a few minor chips and scratches as expected with an 8 year old car. It is equipped with the factory chrome wheels that have no scrapes or curb rash. The tires are great with approximately 75% tread remaining. The interior is very nice with no rips or tears in the leather seats, and the plastic trim all great with the exception of chip of plastic on the passenger door trim panel(pictured). The engine runs smooth and there is nothing dripping or leaking when parked. These G6's were very popular and have a reputation for being very reliable aside from being very fun to drive. I am a small used car dealer located in Northeast Ohio, about 10 minutes east of Akron and about 40 minutes south of Cleveland, Ohio. If you are the winning bidder you must pay a $200 non-refundable deposit through Paypal or send a USPS money order overnite. If you live out of state, you will pay taxes in your state of residence, and a $25 title fee. If you are an Ohio resident and the winning bidder, the bid price along with sales tax and a $25 title fee will be due upon delivery of the vehicle. There are no hidden fees or doc fees here; I don't believe in them(it is just another way for dealers to make money). If you are shipping the car, SHIPPING IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER, although I will assist the shipper of your choice in any way I can. Please do NOT bid unless you are financially ready to purchase the car. DON'T WASTE MY TIME AND YOURS BY BIDDING ON SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT BUYING ANYWAY!!!! Bid with confidence, as this is a very nice car, and I have 100% feedback, and have sold cars all over the country. I do not ship to Canada or overseas. Good Luck Bidding! Any questions call my cell at (330) 221-7760. Thanks. Tim. My zip code is 44260.

BMX rider flips for wrecked Detroit football stadium

Fri, Jun 12 2015

Detroit is littered with derelict ruins. Abandoned automotive assembly plants, sure – but also former sports venues, like Tiger Stadium in Corktown, Roesink Stadium in Hamtramck, and the Silverdome in Pontiac. BMX rider Tyler Fernengel remembers going to see the Lions and Pistons play at the Silverdome in his youth, and competed there in Supercross as a boy. The stadium hasn't been used in years, but now, with his career just picking up, Tyler has returned to film this video – riding through its halls, jumping its stairwells and flipping over its grandstands and field. It's a fitting tribute to a once-great venue of suburban Michigan. Check out the footage in this latest clip from Red Bull. 1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.

This Hoonigan mechanic's twin-turbo Trans Am is wonderful

Thu, Mar 24 2016

What do you drive when you work on rally machines for a living? Probably a Subaru WRX, and that's what Gregg Hamilton had for a while until working on his car felt too much like his day job. So when he moved from New Zealand to the US to work for Ken Block (with a few stops along the way) he bought something entirely different. This is Gregg's 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. It's a throwback to another time, but it's anything but stock. It has that magic combination of a big V8 with a manual transmission and rear drive, just like the tin-top racers Gregg watched in his Kiwi youth. He bought it sight unseen from its previous owner in Alabama, and has been tinkering with it ever since. There's something about the flared wheel arches and the classic Firebird gold-striped black livery that has us smitten. Scope out the six-minute clip above from Petrolicious and see if you don't fall for Gregg's Pontiac as well.
