A fully documented 2002 Pontiac SLP Firehawk #0532. Initially purchased from Don Miller Pontiac in Madison, WI in 2002 by a 55 year old local man, who took excellent care of this car while he was the owner, and at the age of 65 in 2012, sold the car. This is how I came to be the second owner of the vehicle. As stated before this car is a FULLY DOCUMENTED, with original production sheet, Street Legal Performance production Trans Am Firebird deemed the "Firehawk". This car is in mint condition and rarely has seen rain and never seen salt. It also has many options offered by SLP including a rather rare option not found on most Firehawks which is the low profile IROC-Z style spoiler. The car is a 6 speed manual and includes a short throw Hurst Shifter as well as 17" chrome Limited Edition Torque Thrust M American Racing wheels along with tires that were put on in spring of 2012. I also have a second set of wheels and tires that I am willing to include with the purchase of the vehicle. I just did a full tune up on the car including new NGK TR-55GP spark plugs and MSD Street Fire wires along with a transmission and rear differential fluid swap. The clutch system also has new fluid and has been bled. The car also features Pontiac's Monsoon sound system with an aftermarket head unit and I have upgraded the woofers in the sail panels. Also, with the purchase of the car I will include a Diablosport Predator handheld programmable tuner for this car. This car is all original from the factory unless otherwise noted above. I have had my fun with the car and am looking to upgrade to something else however, I am not in a rush to sell this car so only serious offers will be considered. I have attached some pictures for your viewing but the pictures do not do the car justice, the car still runs and drives like a top. This car is a unique find since it almost entirely stock and is one of the cleanest 4th Gen F-Bodies I've seen and most Firehawks found today are heavily modified. I constantly receive many compliments on the car when I drive it and when I attend car shows and have also received many offers from people however, when offered I was not ready to sell it at that time.

Junkyard Gem: 2007 Pontiac G6 GT Convertible
Sun, Jan 8 2023GM's Pontiac Division sold its first convertibles during the 1927 model year (just a year after the division's creation), then proceeded to offer memorable drop-tops for most of the following 83 years. The best-selling convertible to bear Pontiac badges during our current century was the retractable-hardtop-equipped G6, available from the G6's introduction in 2006 through the second-to-last model year of 2009 (the Sunfire convertible was available just through 2000, while the Firebird convertible vanished with the demise of the slow-selling Firebird itself after 2002). Here's one of those G6 GT convertibles, found in a Denver-region boneyard after a crash ended its driving career. Mashed right front, popped airbags. This sort of damage might have been worth repairing in 2009, but not today. The 2007 G6 was available as a coupe, sedan, or convertible. All the convertibles had the GT trim level and the 3.5-liter V6 and its 224 horsepower. The MSRP on this car was $28,750 (about $42,325 in 2022 dollars), making it the most expensive G6. The power hardtop roof folded up into the trunk, leaving 1.8 cubic feet of trunk storage space with the top down. This Karmann-designed roof system made the interior much quieter than that of a traditional soft-top convertible. All G6s were built at Orion Assembly in Michigan, where Chevy Bolts are born today. The G6 was built through the 2010 model year, making it one of the very last Pontiac models (the Vibe also made it to 2010, though it was really a Toyota Matrix). In hindsight, 2007 turned out to be an ominous year for GM.Â
One of Burt Reynolds' favorite cars could be yours
Fri, Apr 12 2019LOS ANGELES — One of Burt Reynolds' favorite cars is going up for auction in June along with some of his cowboy boots, hats, sports jackets and other items from his estate, Julien's Auctions said on Friday. The two-day auction in Beverly Hills, authorized by the actor's family, comes almost a year after the death at age 82 of the charming star who was one of Hollywood's favorite actors. The highlight of the auction is a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am car that Reynolds used on photo shoots and drove on the Bandit Run cross country rally, which re-enacts the journey at the center of his 1977 film "Smokey and the Bandit." The car, which Reynolds co-owned with his business partner Gene Kennedy, is expected to fetch up to $500,000 at auction, Julien's said in a statement. Two pairs of leather cowboy boots — one red and one yellow — are also offered for sale with estimates ranging from $800 to $2,000 a pair, along with two cowboy hats. Reynolds started out as a football player at Florida State University (FSU) before injuries suffered in a car crash wrecked his hopes of a professional career. But his attachment to FSU remained strong. The auction includes several custom or personalized FSU baseball, basketball and varsity jackets. Other highlights include an oil on canvas painting of the actor's favorite horse titled "Cartouche," which carries an estimate of $20,000 - $30,000. Other art works, furniture and dozens of personal items are also being offered for sale. The auction will take place in Beverly Hills on June 15 and 16, and will be preceded by a public exhibition of some of the items from June 10-14. Reynolds, who was also known for the 1960s television series "Gunsmoke" and the movies "Deliverance" and "Boogie Nights,"" died of a heart attack in Florida in September 2018. GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes
Mon, 31 Mar 2014When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
