Driver mirror has a small crack, driver seat has been repaired, a few scratches here and there typical for the age. Not a ten but a strong 8.5 to 9 in my opinion. I recommend viewing in person , I'm pretty particular, most people don't notice the flaws it has but I definitely wanted to disclose them."

2002 Pontiac Trans-Am WS-6 ram air. 6 speed transmission, all aluminum LS1 motor. T-tops, 53,900 miles. $5000 Custom sound system, 6 JL audio component speakers, in dash cd/DVD with blue tooth and iPod hook up two JL audio 900 watt amps and 2 12" JL audio W7 subs ( dub sevens) in a custom enclosure. Brand new tires and alignment (less than 300 miles), along with fresh synthetic oil change and a full tank of chevron supreme. Car is in very good, low mileage condition but has a few cosmetic flaws, must see in person. Nothing major, small imperfections that are better than average for an eleven year old car. This car has been babied and was bought for the looks, not to race. Last year of the Pontiac firebird trans am, and this one is the bad boy ram air WS-6. Own a piece of iconic American iron with this car... I also have my chopper for sale, if the bike sells first, I will keep the trans am...so if you're interested, you better come and get it... Car still books out in the mid $15k range with out the kick ass sound system.. I am below blue book and you get a killer custom sound system...Please serious inquires only and I only accept cash or certified bank check (you get the car after we take it to the bank and the check clears). I will accept Paypal if you cover the PayPal fees which are around 4%.  Just passed smog and title in hand... Registration good till September.

The bad: both door panels have the typical gen 4 cracks on the top rear of the door panel. There is one door ding just behind the driver door that required a little touch up paint, and a small crack in the driver rear view mirror housing. The driver seat has been repaired from a tear. I have pics of all of these. Other wise normal wear, tear, chips, and dings from being an 11 year old car...

KBB value is from $15650 for excellent to $15300 for very good, $15025 good ... That does not include the value of the sound system you're getting for free....

Please contact me for any questions or concerns or to set up a viewing. Also, if you purchase and want to fly in and drive home, I can meet you at Santa Maria airport (smx).

Junkyard Gem: 1987 Pontiac Firebird

Sat, May 9 2020

From 1967 through 2002, the Pontiac Division offered the Firebird, close sibling to the Chevrolet Camaro. By the third generation, which debuted for the 1982 model year, it became more difficult to tell the two F-body cars apart at a glance and the Pontiac-exclusive engines of the earlier years disappeared, but the Firebird still retained its own personality and its own position in the GM marketing hierarchy. I still find the occasional 1982-1992 Camaro as I search car graveyards for interesting stuff, but the corresponding Firebirds have become scarce in recent years. Here's a base-engine-equipped '87, its Bright Red paint (yes, that was the official name for the color) faded by the Colorado sun as it awaits the crusher. Firebird shoppers had their choice of three engines in 1987: A 5.7-liter Chevy V8 (210 hp), a 5.0-liter Chevy V8 (205 hp) and the same 2.8-liter 60° V6 that went into the Fiero and countless front-drive GM sedans (135 hp). This car has the base engine. The third-gen F-body didn't weigh much (3,105 pounds for the '87 with six-banger, about what a 2020 Corolla weighs), so 135 horses was tolerable. Plenty of these cars got T-5 5-speed manual transmissions, but this one got the two-pedal setup. Camaro wheels, of course. Our Friend the Carburetor didn't disappear from new cars until the early 1990s in the United States, though electronic fuel injection had become very commonplace by 1987. Still, GM considered this car's EFI worth a door-handle brag. It's not worth fixing up a mashed six-cylinder third-gen Firebird, so we can see the route this car took to its final parking space. Want to buy a worst-in-show-winning Faux Ferrari Fiero?

Mon, Aug 31 2020

UPDATE: This heap sold for $5,001. But don't fret, there are more terrible cars out there for the taking if that's your thing. Today we bring you something truly terrible. It's not just a fake Ferrari built on the guts of an old Pontiac Fiero, it's actually the world's worst fake Ferrari built on the guts of an old Pontiac Fiero. And it's got the award from the Concours d'Lemons to prove it. It's so heinous, in fact, that it has somehow managed to become desirable, at least judging by the bidding history of this bright red affront to Maranello. Powered by a 140-horsepower 2.8-liter V6 engine (covered by an unconvincing and broken fake V12 cover) hooked to an automatic gearbox, this gloriously poor Prancing Horse won't be winning many stoplight drag races. There are bundles of stray wires hanging down from the dashboard, it has high mileage, most of its lights don't work, and it's ugly. Like, really ugly. And to top it off, this Fauxrarri can't currently be registered in its home state of California because it has failed its most recent smog test. Put simply, you're looking at a total piece of junk. But a piece of junk with internet notoriety, having been featured on an episode of Jay Leno's Garage after attending the 2019 Quail Motorsports Gathering — by mistake at first, and then earning a special place next to the porta potties — being the focus of a video series on YouTube and winning the aforementioned ribbon for Worst in Show at Lemons. Somehow, bidding has topped $4,000 at the time of this writing. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. If you want to earn the ire of your neighbors — and to be clear, we really wouldn't recommend it — click on over to Cars & Bids to view the auction. There are four days left to hit the "bid" button. Watch as Hot Rod goes from El Paso to LA the hard way

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

There are few things simultaneously more romantic and idiotic than taking a road trip in a beaten-down heap of a car. Trust us. We know. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine fame recently undertook an epic trip from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles with the express goal of doing so for under $1,500, including the purchase price of a vehicle, food, lodging, repairs and, most importantly, fuel. With this in mind, the duo settled on a 1972 Pontiac Catalina for a lofty $650. Hilarity ensues.
Realizing that no one actually wants a Catalina sulking around the shop, Freiburger and Finnegan put the car up for auction on eBay Motors the instant they had the title in hand. By the time they rolled into Hot Rod HQ, the vehicle sold for a little over $500.
The video is part of a new series called Roadkill that should document similar adventures. Keep your eyes peeled for more calamity-soaked clips in the near future. In the meantime, hit the jump to check it out yourself.
