For sale is my 1995 Pontiac Firehawk #332 6-speed with only 35,200 orig. miles and SLP's 410hp engine package. This is an extremely rare car as it's 1 of 13 chameleon Firehawks produced in 1995. SLP had difficulty matching the paint on the hoods and as a result canceled production, however they honored the orders already received, this is one of those cars. The paint is gorgeous in the sunlight and changes from green to blue to purple. Most people have never seen this color in person and the pictures I took don't do it justice as the sun had set. In addition, this is the only Firehawk I've ever seen that was sent back to SLP to have one of SLP's special high performance engine packages installed. This car received SLP's 410+HP power package which was installed by SLP through a local Pontiac dealer. This is a very collectable and special car that would make a great addition to anyone's collection.
This Firehawk is in extremely good condition and is all original with the exception of the Hurst chrome handle and white shift knob. I have the original handle and leather wrapped Hurst shift knob and will reinstall prior to selling. There is zero rust on the car, all power options work as they should and the a/c is ice cold. The paint is beautiful and has very minor flaws as one would expect on a low mile well cared for car (minor bug marks or nicks on rockers/nose). All glass is in excellent condition and the t-top seals and weather stripping is nice and soft. The interior is like new and shows no wear or fading-including the original Firehawk floormats that are perfect. Mechanically, it runs and drives like a low mile and well cared for car should. No squeaks or rattles, handles like a sports car and with the SLP 410HP engine package, it is a blast to drive with excellent power. I recently replaced the Firehawk center caps with a NOS set, replaced the fuel filter and changed the oil (Mobil 1 oil & filter). I have two sets of keys and remotes as well the birth certificate and paperwork for the SLP 410HP package and install. I purchased this Firehawk a couple of months ago with the intention of keeping forever. However, this car is too nice and rare that I'm worried to go cruising in it with my wife and young children-it just sits in the garage. I've decided to keep my 99' SS convertible as this is better for cruising as I don't have to worry as much. Low reserve!!!

1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction
Mon, 01 Aug 2011For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.
Pontiac should come back as a performance division for GM
Thu, Apr 6 2017For decades the Pontiac brand was known as GM's performance brand. From the 1964 Pontiac GTO, to the 1967 Firebird, to the 1984 Fiero, to the 2006 Solstice Turbo, and 2009 G8 GXP, Pontiac had a reputation for building exciting cars, with bold styling and performance to back it up. When the Camaro was killed off in 2002, the Pontiac Firebird died off with it, and the last Pontiacs were built in early 2010. But with names like G3, G4, and G6, Pontiac's performance image had long faded from it's earlier glory days. My idea for Pontiac's revival would be to bring it back as a dedicated performance marque similar to Chevy's Super Sport (SS) line up of years past. First, and most obvious would be to bring back the Pontiac Firebird. Offering the entry-level model with the Camaro's 275HP turbo 4 cylinder engine, then having the Camaro SS's 455HP V8, but also offering a halo model Trans Am that is a revamped Camaro ZL-1 along with it's tire-shredding 650HP, supercharged V8 and race tuned suspension. Secondly, I would bring back the GTO. Which I would base on the current Chevy SS, but I would use the full 455-horsepower LS4 V8 (rather than the 415-hp setup that it has now). Furthermore, I would add the impressive 650-hp supercharged V8 to provide real competition to the Charger Hellcat. Importantly, I would make sure that the new GTO had bold, distinctive styling that really set it apart. I understand that purists would want any Pontiac GTO to be a two-door coupe, but I think that they could forgive that if the new GTO was an outstanding American performance car. Next, I would take the Buick Cascada convertible, add much bolder styling, swap in the Camaro's 275-hp turbo engine, and tune up the suspension to provide more performance than luxury (without being harsh). And finally I would round out the line up by using the new 2018 Traverse , but use the new, bold Pontiac design language to spice up the model's looks, tweak the engines for more power, and again provide a performance suspension that matches the model's new sporty looks. Obviously, having a high performance Pontiac model line up would steal away some sales from Chevy, Buick, and Cadillac models. But I think that it would more than make up for this by also stealing away sales from competing brands. 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am
Mon, 13 May 2013No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.
