Selling my heart and joy well taken care of trans am.
My trans has original paint and never molested. It is a daily driver car and is inspected, rust free with the exception of a couple of small surface rust areas.
It has a 305 carb, automatic transmission(700R4), Posi rear, Tires are good. Trans shifts great, Rear is good, engine runs great (no oil burning) engine even looks great cosmetically,
No leaks that i can see. Engine could use very minor tune to be perfect (But still runs great). Its old school (carburetor).I still drive this car and I will have to say its a really cool car and a blast to drive.
It is well built and will last for many more years, It gets about 18-26 miles to a gallon, I do over 21 on the highway. It has about 147,000 true miles, Car fax will say other but it only goes up to 99,999 on
the odometer. I have a bunch of used parts to go with it.
This is my second one and they are great cars if you can get them unmolested and in this shape today, They are getting really hard to fine unless you spend over 9,000.00 or more.
Good;
A/C works (changed over to 134)
New door weather strip
Runs great
inspected to next year Aug. 2014
rebuilt carburetor
new smog pump
new front brakes
new bosh battery
plugs, wires coil ect.. New!
Original paint (Not Repainted!)
A bunch of little odds and ends replaced just because.
Undercarriage is in excellent shape!
Headliner in great shape
dash has a small crack
cruise control works
headlights go up and down No problems
All signals and lights work
Horn work
Radio works (not original)
The bad:
A few small rips on seats
carpet is worn in some areas
Smokes a little upon start up, goes away after about 30 seconds(common on these cars)
has a couple of small surface rust areas (very small) No Cancer spots!
A few scratches and nicks here and there (but never said its a show car)Its just a good looking drivable inspected 1985 trans am that is almost perfect.
I really cant think of anything else, Just e-mail me and other questions and i will get back to you
Cash Only for purchase and i will sign title over and keys. You can come look at it and i stress for anyone to look at it on the great condition it is, you will be amazed!
Spoiler on back not original (I replaced old spoiler for new spoiler
Will always go up in value if taken care of.
Again my car runs good, Its over 28 years old and you may have to tinker here and there, Remember its a carburetor engine Old school, I don't mind because i grew up with them and i know how to do it.
Even though the car runs and looks great I have no guarantees with this car that go with the purchase, Buyer buys AS IS!
****I have plenty of pictures, Please e-mail and send me your e-mail so I can send you them, You also can make an appointment to come out and look.****

And a lot of those ways can be boring or tasteless. This one is neither. This is a seriously classy Pontiac GTO. Under the hood is a 461 cu. in. V8 from Butler Performance that's based on an actual Pontiac V8, not just another Chevy engine. The whole thing is subtle with a low-key metallic green and clean gray wheels. There isn't any overly flashy chrome or decals.
This classic Firebird restomod swallowed a Prius
Tue, Apr 19 2016It takes an unusual eye to look at a 1967 Pontiac Firebird and see the Toyota Prius hidden inside. But that's just the kind of eye that a creative mechanic known online as "Bill the Engineer" has. Bill is updating his old Firebird into a true classic for the 21st century and has documenting the changes over at Priuschat and EcoModder. The TL,DR version of the story: he's replacing the worn-out powertrain with the gas-electric hybrid one from a Prius V, because it turns out the two vehicles have almost exactly the same wheelbase. Bill, who's from Columbus, Ohio and doesn't want his full name used, said in his posts on the conversion project that he's made many memories with this vehicle since buying it back in 1979. Since then, a few moves, a few decades, and some time in storage meant that the car would no longer function as he wanted it to. As he wrote, "when it comes to mice in the vehicles IT IS WAR." His solution is to make new memories and making a greener vehicle, and so we wanted to ask him how things have been going. Bill's been traveling a bit recently, but told AutoblogGreen that he's now figuring out the next steps for this amazing and complicated project. "I always plan things out before I do them," he said. That's the only way something like this can work. ABG: I think we have to start with what gave you the inspiration for this project. Was it simply that you had the two cars and wanted to see them merged into one cool mashup, or was it something else? "One day my wife wondered out loud if the car could be converted into a hybrid... The rest is history." Bill: I have been the owner of my 1967 Firebird convertible since 1979 when I bought it for $750.00. I drove it for years and made many memories. Afterward it was in storage for many years during which time mice at their way into the car and trashed the interior and wiring. I started working on a conventional restoration but always ran into major problems with hidden corrosion, electrical issues and an engine on its last legs. The car was never going to be as nice as I wanted going the conventional route. One day my wife wondered out loud if the car could be converted into a hybrid like our two daily driver Prii. That got me thinking about how it could be done. The rest is history... ABG: It looks like you started in late 2014. Have things gone well since then, or has it been one hassle after another? What has been the biggest setback, and what were the biggest victories?
Junkyard Gem: 1991 Pontiac 6000 LE
Sat, Dec 2 2017Sibling to the Chevrolet Celebrity and Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, the Pontiac 6000 sold pretty well during the early-to-middle 1980s, but had been relegated to the dealership bargain bin and fleet-car cul-de-sac by the time of Operation Desert Shield. Here's a final-year-of-manufacture 6000 LE that I photographed in an Arizona self-service wrecking yard. This car was sold new in Arizona, and it will be crushed in the same state, 26 years later. The LE was the cheapest trim level for the 6000 in 1991, but the original purchaser of this car sprang for a few options. For example, instead of the utterly miserable 2.5-liter Iron Duke four-cylinder, this car packs the 3.1-liter V6. That meant 140 horsepower instead of 110, plus an engine note more like a vacuum cleaner sucking up a spaghetti spill than an ailing blender chewing on walnuts. AM, FM, and cassette. Not only that, but the auto-reverse feature meant that your mixtape cassette wouldn't stop right in the middle of your favorite Roxette tune. This content is hosted by a third party.
